Part 10 - We're strong, together
I'm bit shook that you guys are still here. I mean from the eternal waiting... thank you! ❤️😍 I'll try to get it into some sort of regular schedule. Oh, and sorry for such a lazy chapter. Enjoy ^.^

(Delirious POV)
"And then she just walked away," one of the guards bursted into a laughter, making me impatiently sigh.
"Dude, what did you expect?" The other one replied, shaking his head.
C'mon, move already.
"Definitely not this outcome. Have you seen the newest episode of American horror story?" The first one asked, walking away with the second one right behind him.
Finally!
I waited a few more seconds, before slipping into the hallway. Quickly scanning the surroundings, I moved to the door I was certain was occupied. Without knocking, I silently opened the door, a bit offended that he didn't lock it in the place like this.
The room was sunk in dark, which wasn't something unusual, so I had to adjust to it for a few seconds since I didn't have a phone or a flashlight.
Walking towards the bed, I saw a silhouette of a man sleeping on it. I felt warmness filling my heart, while my lips curled into a smile. Slowly and carefully as I could, I get into the bed under his blanket. I spooned him, enjoying his warm body. My lips found favorite spot on his neck, softly kissing him a few times, until he moved a little. I quickly stopped, wishing not to wake him up rather than to be selfish.
His body tensed, and in the second he got off the bed in a rocket speed, while falling down on the ground as he stumbled.
"Calm down! That's me," I quickly said, sitting up.
"Jonathan?" He whispered, his voice still shaking.
"Yes. I'm so sorry, I didn't want to wake you up," I replied, while he stood up.
I had to close my eyes, as the light blinded me for a few seconds. I opened them again when I heard as he locked the door.
"You scared the hell out of me," he mumbled, when he sat up to me.
"I'm sorry," I smiled at him amused.
"Wait, how did you get here anyway?! Shouldn't you be locked in your cell?" He asked me quickly, his eyes reflecting confusion.
"I should, but I had to see you. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, but I had to act quickly. And I kinda hoped you wouldn't know about this," I explained, happy that we're again together.
"You need to get back, or you will be in big troubles. And I would rather see you behind the bars than dead," Evan said again, standing up.
I quickly grabbed his hand, softly pulling him down until he sat down again.
"I have it under control. There's a dummy in my bed, and they won't get into my cell until the morning," I soothed him, refusing to let go off his hand.
"I talked with Craig this evening. He said Tyler wasn't home," Evan informed me, looking at our hands.
"What?"
"Maybe he flew here to save you, just like me," Evan smiled at me, and I frowned.
"How could he know I'm here? And why would he leave Craig behind without a single word?" I started to ask, talking mostly to myself.
"No idea, maybe they fought? That's not important now. Ok, so you're after your target. Have you found any leads to him?"
I smiled at him, impressed by his will to help me, by his feelings towards me, by his fucked up personality, because he wasn't running away.
"I thought I did, but it led me only to a blind spot. I'm growing impatient each passing day, nobody really knows a person named William Lockwood," I replied.
"How much do you trust the guy who told you about William being locked in the prison?" Evan asked in all seriousness.
I remember visiting Vincent, I remembered a quick torture. That man wasn't lying to me, he was too weak for that, or he had to be really good actor.
"I trust him," I answered, when he smirked.
"Wasn't if you, by the way, who said I should be trusting anybody?" He teased me, and I laughed.
"Good point, but everyone breaks under the torture," I explained, and he nodded.
"Even I did," he whispered, and softly I kissed his hand.
I was the one who broke his soul, but he was the one who put me back into one piece.
"I'll try to get some info, you're not alone in this," Evan smiled at me.
"Just be careful, please. There's not only a danger from the other prisoners, but from the guards as well. Mainly Everson is a pain in the ass," I informed him, receiving a nod in return.
"That's the guard who had you pinned to the wall, right? What did you do to him?" He asked concerned.
"I refused to kiss his boots the first time here. He hates when somebody resists his authority. Evan, let's make a deal," I sighed, trying to get him out of this in the safest way possible.
"Deal?"
"Yes. If we won't find anything about William tomorrow, you're quitting this job," I started, seeing him take a breath to say something, so I quickly continued.
"I'll get out of here no longer after you. Let just hope they won't connect you to me. Which leads me to your behavior towards me. You can't show you know me, or you care about me. Push me, yell at me, beat me, if you must. Do you think you can do it?" I asked him with serious tone of voice.
"I'll try, but I hope I won't need to do that."
"Now let's get you back to bed, you can't be tired," I commanded, standing up and in a few seconds I was prepared to turn the lights off.
"Will you visit me tomorrow again?" He asked, and I noticed his cheeks getting redder.
Still damn cute.
"I will, I promise," I replied in whisper.
"Don't promise, you keep breaking your promises," he replied, getting under the blanket again.
I'm sorry.
"Good night, Evan."
"I love you, Jonathan. Always..." he started, smiling and me.
"And forever," I finished his sentence, switching the lights off.
I need to find something tomorrow. I need to get Evan out of here.
