*Saxons POV*

Damn it! I was so close to kissing her then that stupid Winston guy had to come and ruin it! Why can't he just let me have her? He already found his true mate and broke Ashton's heart in the process. I had been in the kitchen when he had seen Alice, I knew that they were mates immediately. So after that I had been keeping a close eye on Ashton. I watched her go into the woods and come out crying her eyes out.

I hated seeing her cry, and it just pissed me off knowing that another man made her cry and that I couldn't do anything about it. Sighing I walked into my room and threw myself on the bed. I need to win Ashton's heart over, I'm ready to love her and be the mate she deserves. But how can I, were do I start? I know that it's not going to be easy, I hurt her bad. But I have to start somewhere.

I'm ready to step up and be a mate, the mate Ashton needs.

*Ashton's POV*

"What are you doing?" A voice asked, breaking the silence that had been surrounding me. I looked up and saw that the voice belonged to my brothers mate, Lilly. I had been sitting in the kitchen staring off into space when she came in.

"Just thinking." I replied with a smile. Lilly seemed like a nice enough girl so I don't see why I can't be friends with her. She tilted her head to the side and smiled.

"Can I ask what about?" She asked the question slowly, like she was afraid I would say no.

"Well I was just thinking about everything really, you know life and stuff." She laughed and came and sat on the stool next to me.

"I know how you feel. I'm a over thinker, always thinking about, 'life and stuff'." She laughed. We sat in silence for a few minutes, lost in thought.

"Hey do you want to go do something? Go shopping maybe?" She asked suddenly. I smiled and replied,

"Ya! I don't usually get to go shopping with a girl since I have all guy friends." Lilly got an excited look on her face and was practically bouncing in her seat.

"Ok! Just let me go get my purse and ill be right down." I nodded my head and put my bowl in the sink. Lilly was back in less then two minutes.

"Ok let's go!" She said, grabbing my arm. I laughed at her but followed. We got into her car, which was a small slug bug. On the ride to the mall Lilly and I sang along to the radio and talked about everything and anything. It felt good to be spending time with another girl.

By the time we arrived at the mall I knew a lot about Lily. She's 18, her favorite colors red, she's an only child, her mother died giving birth to her and she found my brother a month after I left. Lilly also knew a lot about me. I told her my whole story and then about my life in the Blood moon pack and so on. I even told her I was a white wolf.

Lilly and I walked into the first store that we saw, it just so happened to be Debs. We walked around for a minute and picked out all kind of clothes. For the next three hours we talked and shopped. By the time we got back to her car we had both spent over two hundred dollars and could barely carry all of our bags. We had gone to the hair dresser and had our hair done, I didn't do much, I only got my ends trimmed. Lilly had gotten a trim and put blonde highlights in her hair.

On the ride home we stopped at Carls Jr and got burgers, I don't usually eat junk food but today was an exception.

"Soooo..... Are you ever planning on forgiving Saxon? Or Josh?" Lilly asked. I thought about it for a moment. I might be able to forgive Josh eventually but I don't know about Saxon.

"I don't know, maybe Josh but I highly doubt that I will Saxon." I replied. Lilly got an excited look on her face but then a disappointed one.

"They truly are sorry. I really meant what I said to you that day." I had trouble believing that though.

"I might believe that Josh regrets it but I don't think Saxon does. He's nothing but a selfish, player, who doesn't care about anybody." I stated rather harshly. Lilly cringed from my harsh tone and I immediately felt sorry.

"I'm sorry for snapping Lilly. Can we just not talk about it?" I asked. She smiled and replied,

"Ya sure, sorry for bringing it up." I shrugged my shoulders and began to sing to the radio. When we arrived back at the house Josh, Saxon, Reed, Justin, Jace and Winston were all pacing outside of the house looking angry, and scared. When they saw us pull up they all ran to the car.

Josh ripped open Lilly's door and yanked her out, he took deep breaths of her scent and held her close to him. Before I knew what was happening my door was thrown open and I was grabbed by a pair of arms, Saxon. He wrapped his arms around me and copied what Josh did, taking deep breaths of my scent. The other boys tried to pull me away from Saxon but he let out a loud, rumbling growl that had them all backing away.

I don't know what happened but the boys were all freaking out. Saxon was shaking real bad and I he was close to shifting. I was going to push him away but Reed spoke in my mind,

'Don't push him away Ashton. His wolfs needs reassurance right now. He thought you were dead.' What? Why? This didn't make sense to me.

'Why would he think that?' I asked. Reed sighed and said,

'We found the scent of rogues real close to the pack house and you and Lilly both went missing without telling anybody were you went. We thought the rogues took you.' I understood now, Saxon thought I was kidnapped by rogues. I wrapped my arms around Saxon and held him close. I may hate his guts but I know his wolf needs this and I'm not that heartless.

My wolf was purring in happiness and I had trouble fighting off a smile myself. It just felt right being in his arms, but I won't let myself get used to it. Saxons arms tightened around me but his shaking was slightly calming down. It took five more minutes until Saxon completely stopped shaking but even when he did he didn't let me go.

I turned my head to the right and happened to catch Lilly's eye. She had a look of shock and humor on her face. We both cracked a grin and were trying to hold in a laugh. I turned my head away for a moment but when I turned it back and we made eye contact I couldn't hold it in any more. We both bursted into laughter and the same time. I'm pretty sure that we sounded like hyenas.

I fell from Saxons arms and was on the floor laughing. I rolled to the right and saw Lilly was on the ground to. I calmed down for a few seconds but cracked up laughing again. This continued for about five minutes. When Lilly and I finally stopped laughing the guys were all staring at us like we were aliens, this if course only made us laugh harder.

I was clutching my side because it hurt wen I felt myself being lifted into a pair of arms. I was positive it was Saxon because of the tingles. He carried me into the house and set me on the couch. Josh set Lilly down next to me and we held onto each other laughing. I don't know what was wrong with us, or why we were even laughing but we were.

I slumped against Lilly and my eyes started to drift.

"Get our bags out of the car." Lilly ordered Josh sounding as tired as I felt. He nodded his head and scurried off. Within the next five minutes Lilly and I were both on the couch, cuddled up fast asleep.

*Ashton's POV*

It had been two weeks since I had been dragged back to the full moon pack and I'm not gonna lie but they've been a really good two weeks. Lilly and I have gotten really close, she's my best friend. The twins of course pretended to be sad when I said that Lilly was my new best friend but oh well. Like I said Lilly and I were really close now, we do everything together. She has even been helping me try to forgive Josh.

Saxon. Well he's been trying really hard to get on my good side for the last two weeks, I don't know why but I still keep my walls up around him. Winston and Alice completed there mating last week and I was genuinely happy for them. The only downfall of the week is that I ran into my mother, literally.

'Flashback.'

I was walking down the hall way, making my way to the kitchen to make dinner when I ran into somebody.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry!" I said. I steadied the woman and looked at her face. I paled when I saw who it was, my mother. She looked up at me and studied my face, trying to figure out who I was. I knew when she realized that it was me because she got a look of hatred on her face and took a step away from me.

"Yes I bet you are, but I'm much more sorry." She sneered. I was confused for a moment, I ran into her, why was she sorry.

"Why so?" I asked nicely, trying not to get on her nerves, I didn't want to fight. She smirked and said,

"For bringing such a filthy, ugly, fat, worthless human being into this world." I felt pain from her words and tears trying to make there way to the surface, but I pushed them back and hardened my expression.

"And I'm sorry to. I'm sorry for myself. I got stuck with a rude, arrogant, self-centered, dirty dog as a mother." I smirked and flipped her off. She got a look of pure rage on her face. You see wen you call a wolf a dog it really pisses them off. She tried to smack me but I quickly deflected her hand. I'm not the little girl I used to be.

This time she tried to punch me but I grabbed her fist and twisted it around her back, I pulled her arm up and heard her cry out in pain. I got close to her ear and said,

"If you ever talk to me like that again I will make sure I do way worse then this to you. I'm not the same girl I used to be and I will not put up with you and your bullshit." And with that I threw her on the ground and walked away.

'End of flashback.'

After that I had been in a bad mood for the whole day and had locked myself in my room.

I sat in front of my large mirror trying to decide what to do with my hair. Today was the first day back at school after the summer break. I didn't really want to go back to Winchester high because that's were a lot of bad memory's took place at but I know that I have to suck it up and be tough.

I had tried to talk the boys into letting me be home schooled but they told me that it was senior year and if I didn't go I would regret it. I looked back to the mirror and sighed. I heard a knock on my door and yelled,

"Come in!" The door opened and Lilly walked in. She was wearing grey skinny jeans with a grey and red short sleeve shirt. She had on no make up and her hair was in a messy bun.

"Need some help." She asked. I quickly nodded my head and she walked over to me. She looked at my long hair for a moment before walking into my bathroom. She came back carrying a bottle of mousse. I tilted my head, I had never done that before.

"Flip your head upside down." She ordered me. I did as she said and flipped my head. She sprayed a bit into her hand and started to scrunch my hair with it. Five minutes later and I was done. I looked in the mirror and smiled. My hair was wavy and looked super cute.

"Thank you!" I said to Lilly with a big smile. She winked at me and threw herself on my large bed. I took out my make up and applied a little bit of mascara and eyeliner. Next I moved to my cloths. I picked out a pair of black skinny jeans and a red, long sleeved shirt that had black hearts on it. I pulled on my black converses and was done.

"Lilly, Ashton come on, lets go!" Josh yelled from down stairs. I threw my back pack over my shoulder, linked arms with Lily and we were out the door. I took a deep breath. Time to go back to the hell hole, other wise known as school.
