I thought I locked the door! I guess, I didn't...

"Ellie, stop!" Daniel said. 

He ran over to me. He was crying. 

He grabbed the knife out of my hand. 

Then, he grabbed my arm and looked at it. 

He sighed. 

"Why did you do this? Why were you crying when you walked in? Where did you go anyways?" 

I don't want to answer his questions. But, I did anyway. 

"Austin....kidnap....grass..." was all I managed to get out. 

"Take a deep breath. Try again." He said. 

I took a deep breath in, and then exhaled. 

"I meant I was outside and someone grabbed me by the waist, I thought it was one of you guys pranking me, but it was Austin. He picked me up and carried me, when I told him to put me down, he threw me on the grass. Then..." 

"Then, what?" Daniel asked. 

"Um...then, he told me some stuff," I said. 

"Like what stuff?" 

"He said that I was worthless, ugly, and fat. He said that mom and dad hate me and you guys hate me. And you only said sorry because you don't want me to tell our parents. He said that Anna is only faking to be my friend. And he said that Zach hates me. It turns out, Zach betrayed me. He told Austin that you guys hurt me, but Zach promised me that he wouldn't tell anyone. He broke that promise!" I continued. 

"Wow." Daniel said. 

"What?" I asked. I know, it's a lot to take in. 

"He lied. About everything. Mom and dad care about you! I care about you! And we didn't lie about saying sorry. We really are sorry. Anna is such a loyal friend. She's so nice. And I don't know about Zach...." 

Daniel trailed off for a moment. 

"But, you're so not worthless! You're so much more than that. You're beautiful and amazing. You need to know that!" He continued. 

I started crying again. 

I don't believe a single word he said. 

"Thanks, I don't believe you. But, thanks." 

"You're welcome, baby sis. You need to believe it." 

"Can we go down stairs?" I asked. 

"Sure," he said. 

He brought the knife with us, to make sure I won't use it again. 

We walked down stairs. 

I snuck up behind, Anna. I was going to scare her. 

She was on her phone. I decided to look at what she's doing. I wanted to see if she's texting her crush or something. I don't know if she has a crush on anyone, besides my brother, Jack. But, I think she's moved on from him. 

I looked over her shoulder, just to find out that she's texting Zach.

My ex. 

Why is my best friend, and only friend texting my ex?

Maybe, she's not my friend at all.
