William is a strong king, but a cruel father. He rules his country well. He stops rebellions before they start. He is just and fair when he is a judge. But when it comes to his wife and only child, he is ruthless. He does not listen to his daughter's pleads for him to stop hurting her. He blames it on his stress, but there is much more to it than that. He wanted a son. But he can't do anything about it now. So he continues to make his family seem perfect to the media, hiding their secret from anyone outside the palace. He has threatened the families of those inside to keep them quiet.

•strengths•
William is, as previously mentioned, a strong ruler. Not only is he mentally strong, he is physically strong. Between running a country and doing necessary things to live, he has found time to work out. He is calculating and intelligent. He knows how to escape difficult situations.

•weaknesses•
He can't control his anger. Well, he can, but it comes out eventually around his family. He is logical, but not too creative. He gets out of situations using his head, not his imagination, which causes a lot more stress for him.

•thoughts on the selection•
He believes it will keep up appearances. He knows he'll have to find a different way to take out his anger, but if the public doesn't suspect anything, he is alright with that. He plans for Juliet to choose a man just as capable of running a country as William himself is.

•backstory•
He grew up as a the crown prince of the Eight Isles. His father was kind, but his mother was the one who made William who he is today. When he was of age, his parents hosted a selection. He was not looking for love. He was looking for someone to stay silent and look pretty. And he did. His Selection ended after just one month, and a week later he was married and he had become king.
