The next day the boys were lounging on the couch watching some light hearted movie while Betty frantically rushed around the room looking for something. "watcha doing there betts?" Reggie asked when she crawled on the floor in front of them and started searching under the couch. "Move" She said. The others looked at each other in confusion and didn't move. "Get up! All three of you! Quick!" She said, ushering them off the couch and they stood up watching her intently. "Care to enlighten us babe?" Jug said gently, motioning around the room. "I've lost my phone" she said frantically. "Here I'll ring it, no biggie" Archie said while pulling out his phone and calling Betty's number. "No biggie?! No biggie! Yes it is a 'biggie'" she mimicked. The others looked shocked; Betty was never rude like this, what was going on? Suddenly a buzz came from under one of the couch cushions and Betty was quick to pull out her phone. "Damn it!" She yelled. "God You three are so lazy! You never get off your damn asses and now look! I've missed them!" She screamed, whilst storming off into her bedroom. "What the hell just happened?" Reggie spoke up, breaking the silence that Betty left in her path. "No clue dude" Archie said in reply. "Shall I go and check on her?" Jug asked the others, unsure on wether it was the right move. "Maybe wait a while? So she doesn't rip your head off" Archie said. The boys went and sat back down on the couch. "Maybe we should help more I mean she does everything as well as all of her college work" Jug said. "Yeah she cooks, cleans and does the laundry" Reggie chipped in. "Okay boys come on let's clean up" Archie commanded while standing up and moving to the kitchen, Reggie and jughead followed and the started to clean up the apartment. About an hour later the boys were still cleaning when Betty emerged from her room in her running gear and phone in her hand. She slowed when she saw her roommates cleaning, they all turned to her with big grins on their faces which dropped when she just glared at them, clearly still in a mood. She walked past them, putting her phone on the counter and leaving the apartment for her run. "Well that could've gone better" Archie said once the door closed. Suddenly Betty's phone started buzzing from where it sat on the table but the boys ignored it. After about half an hour of them still trying to clean the apartment Betty's phone still wouldn't stop buzzing so the boys went over to turn it off when they saw all the messages:

Mom: it's for the best Elizabeth
Mom: missed call (5)
Mom: Elizabeth pick up your phone
Mom: I swear answer this damn phone!
Polly: I heard mom told you, how you holding up?
Polly: Betts? Don't shut us out please call me I'm worried <3
Dad: I'm sorry honey
Dad: call us ? X

"Oh god What's happened?" Jughead questioner now extremely concerned for his girlfriend. They put the phone back on the counter and waited for Betty to come home. "Betts?" Jug asked when she came back. She looked over at them. Jug nodded towards the phone and she opened the messages and instantly broke down into tears. Jug was quick to gather her up in his arms while reggie and Archie knelt down next to them. "what's happened?" Archie asked while rubbing her back. "My..my parents..t-they got... a.. divorce!" She sobbed. "Oh baby" jug sighed pulling her closer to him while the others came over them and enveloped them in a big hug.
