Betty's birthday was going great, Archie, Veronica and Kevin has all arrived with gifts and Betty had dragged them off to dance with the other serpents. "Hey you" jug said when Betty came and sat on his lap from where he sat at the bar. "Hello" she giggled. "You having fun?" He asked as he moved some hair from her face. "So much fun" she smiled.

For a while everyone was dancing and singing and Betty had the biggest smile on her face. After the cake Betty excused herself to go to the bathroom. When she returned the atmosphere in the bar was tense and the music was off and everyone was silent. "What's going on?" She Asked. "Hello Elizabeth" a voice said from behind her. "Mom?!" She whispered, taking a step back. "Happy birthday" Alice snipped. Jug came to stand next to Betty and slipped his hand in hers and squeezing gently. "What are you doing here?!" Betty said raising her voice. "I have a surprise for you" she said and the doors to the bar Opened and Polly and chic stepped in. Betty gasped. "Oh my god" she said. The Serpents were confused having not met these people. "Hey little sis" chic smiled. "How... how are you here" Betty said as she hugged her sister and brother. "It's your birthday... we wouldn't miss it" Polly said. "Do you know... about dad... or shall I say Hal?" Betty asked. They just nodded. "Oh" Betty sighed. "Elizabeth we need to talk... as a family... Hal is at the house, come with us?" Alice asked. "To hell is she going anywhere with you!" Sweetpea piped up from the crowd. "No.. no it's fine okay yeah let's go but an hour at the most" Betty said and followed behind her siblings out the door. "Wait!" Jug said grabbing her arm. "If you're not back in and hour I'm coming Okay?" He said and she nodded and kissed him softly before leaving.

Back at the cooper house Betty was sat in between chic and Polly while Hal and Alice explained the whole situation. "I'm sorry for lying Betty" Hal said to Betty "but I'm still your dad" he said with a shaky smile; Betty didn't say anything, wishing more than anything she was back with jughead at her party. "Where's your new family mother? Are you sure they shouldn't be here? Maybe they could try and kill me again!" Betty yelled, finding the inner strength to stand up to her mother. "You will not talk to me like this!" Alice screamed back. "SHES A BETTER DAUGHTER THAN YOU EVER WERE!" Alice yelled and pushed Betty backwards into the fireplace were a candle was knocked off in the commotion. Before anyone could do anything the candle set fire to the couch and flames were spreading around them. Scared Hal, Alice and Polly made a for the door leaving chic helping a hurt Betty to get up but as they made their way to the door it was already up in flames... they were trapped.

Back at the bar jughead was pacing around. "Okay we're going to get her!" FP said after almost an hour and half of waiting for Betty. All the serpents and Veronica, Kevin and Archie made their way to the cooper house, not knowing what they would find; what they didn't expect to find was the cooper house in flames and Hal, Alice and Polly on the front lawn. "Where's Betty?!" Jug demanded. Then they heard it.... Betty's screams.... coming from inside the house....
