The next day jughead was trying to console a very nervous Betty. "I'm right next door betts, just shout if you need anything okay?" He said as she clung to his chest. "Okay" she managed to get out. Their bedroom door opened and FP came in. "Sorry to interrupt but your dads here Betty, he's waiting in the living room" FP said. Betty pulled away from jughead, took a shaky breathe and wiped the stray tears from her face. The three of them made their way downstairs and after a few more minutes of stalling Betty finally went into the living room to meet her father.

The others sat at the dining room table. "Hal looked really scared" Archie said. "What do you mean?" Fangs asked. "I don't know it's like whatever he wants to talk about with her, is big" Archie said. "I don't like the fact that I'm not in there with her" Jug sighed, taking a sip of coffee. "I know son, but she wanted to do it by herself" FP said, placing a comforting hand on jugheads shoulder. "I hope this is all over soon. I've never seen her this sad before" Veronica exclaimed. "Tell me about if and I've known her since we were four years old" Archie said. "Well hopefully it will be over soon, and we can get our ray of sunshine back" Kevin said. The others sat there for ages in silence not knowing what to say. They all wanted to see Betty and see how she was but they had to respect her decision.

In the next room Betty was sat listening to her father nervously ramble on. "You don't have to meet my new partner anytime soon if you don't want to, whenever you're ready but there is something I want to tell you" hal said. "What? What is it?" Betty asked. "Okay before I tell you it doesn't have to change anything okay? I still love you" hal said. "You're scaring me now... please just tell me" Betty said trying not to dig her nails into her palms. "Okay" hal started, taking a deep breathe. "Chic and Polly..." he said. "What about them?" She asked. "They're my children" he said. Betty just looked confused. "But... but you're not.. I mean you are I'm just not you're biological dad...."
