"Jughead!" FP yelled as he entered the bar. Jughead was sat at a table with Betty and was trying to help her with some homework she didn't understand. "Yeah dad?" Jug asked. "One of the ghoulies was snooping out front, thinks we had something to do with their drug bust". "What? We don't even deal" jughead said. Jughead gathered all the serpents for an emergency meeting. "Okay listen up! The ghoulies are snooping around serpent territory because they seem to think we're responsible for their drug pipe line being busted." Jug said, addressing the serpents. "So just watch your backs and if you see or hear anything suspicious then let me know" Jug said. The ghoulies leader Malachai had a grudge against jughead after jughead had beat him in a drag race down Sweetwater River. "Juggie? I'm going to school I'll see you later!" Betty called as she staring walking out the door. "Bye betts" he shouted back.

The day passed slowly and after a cheerleading fitting at the end of the day; because their cheer uniforms needed changing, Betty was ready to get home to her boyfriend. When the bell went to got out into the car park and saw a man on a motorcycle waving at her. Slowly she made her way over. "Hey?" She asked. "Do I know you?" She asked, curiously. "No but me and jughead go way back, he asked me to pick you up as I'm heading to the wyrm too" the man said. "Oh okay, I'm Betty" she smiled. "I know who you are, I'm Malachai, nice to meet you"...

Malachai and Betty rode through Southside but when Betty noticed they were going in the wrong direction of the wyrm she got confused. "Don't worry princess, I just need to stop somewhere" Malachai smirked from in front of her. They pulled into what looked like an old warehouse of some kind. Malachai opened The door for Betty but when she stepped in he hit her over the head and she fell to the ground. Malachai dragged her body down the stairs to the basement and threw her unconscious body onto the dirty, stained floor. He tied her wrists together with rope and chained her to a pipe. "Oh princess I'm going to have fun with you" Malachai stroked her cheek. Malachai left the room and when he returned he was with two other ghoulies and the men laughed at Betty's unconscious body. "Find her phone" Malachai said and the other men searched her cheerleading outfit until they found her found and handed it to Malachai. He snapped a picture and saved it to her camera roll. The next thing that happened was horrible. The two men kicked and punched Betty's unconscious body until bruises were forming and her lip was busted. "Now take off her uniform" Malachai laughed. Once Betty was stripped Malachai snapped another picture of Betty's unconscious, bruised body only in her pink bra and underwear. "Right now lets send these to our very favourite serpent".

"Where's Betty she should've been back an hour ago and they didn't have practice" Toni asked. "I'm not sure" Jug asked. Jugheads phone buzzed from his pocket. "Oh that's here now" she said. When jughead opened his messages his face paled and suddenly all the serpents were gathered around to see what was going on. They all gasped when they saw the two pictures of Betty lying on some basement floor. Quickly jughead rang Betty's phone:

"Jughead, nice to hear from you"
"Where's Betty? What have you done?
"Don't worry she's alive... for now"
"What do you want?!"
"I want money...$5000 by tonight or this little cheerleader won't be able to cheer anymore... well my men have already roughed her up a bit"
"where?!"
"Ghoulies lair"

Malachai hung up and all the serpents raced to the ghoulies lair. They didn't have the money and they weren't planning on getting it. They stormed into the building and a few of the Serpents took out the ghoulies on look out. They made their way down to the basement. "Betty?!" "Betts?" "Where are you?!" The serpents called out.

Down in the basement Betty had regained consciousness and was panicking. She felt as if the walls were closing in and she couldn't move because she was tied up. In the distance she could hear someone calling her name but she was so focused on trying to breath she couldn't focus. Malachai had left the room after he knew all the serpents were here and they were outnumbered but he ran straight into jughead. Sweetpea and fangs knocked him and out and then did the same to his two helpers. The serpents ran down the stair to find Betty on the floor, half naked, struggling to breath. "Betty?" Jug said running to her. "J..Jug? H..h..hel..p me" she managed to get out. FP and jughead raced to untie her while Toni ran to Betty and handed her a robe she had brought with her. "Baby. You're safe, you're okay, I'm sorry you're okay" Jug said trying to pull her into him. "Jug no. She's having a panic attack" FP said. "Hey darling, breath with me, in and out okay? That's it, you're okay darling, we've got you" when she had calmed down Jug out the robe on her and carried her out the basement. Once they got to the wyrm Betty broke down and fell to the floor. Sobs wracking her body. "Baby... shh... I got you" Jug said hugging her tightly. "Ow" she cried. "What?" Jug said. "My side hurts" she cried. FP picked her up and placed her on a table and jug took the robe off and it was very clear her ribs were broken from all the kicks she endured. "Baby You're ribs are broken" Jug said softly. "Do I need to go to hospital" she asked, Jug knew she had a fear of hospitals. "I'm afraid so baby" Jug said. FP and jughead took Betty to the hospital and she was check over and she had a broke wrist and 4 broke ribs and was told to take it easy for the next 2 weeks.

That night when they were lying in bed Betty and jughead were cuddling. "I'm so sorry Betty, I'm so sorry this happened to you! I'm supposed to keep you safe" Jug said. "It's okay juggie, you do keep me safe none of us knew this was going to happen but if you think of the positives I can't go to school for the next 2 weeks so you get me all to yourself" she said, beaming up at him and he was in awe of how she could still be so kind and happy when she has been through hell. "And I don't plan On letting you out of my sight Betty Cooper" he said and kissed her gently.
