Jughead was lounging in his couch, watching a movie, while his dad was on the night shift as the Sheriff. Normally, Betty would be with him, as she was living with him and his dad but tonight she was sleeping at Veronica's, after Veronica said they needed a much overdue girls night. Halfway through his movie, jugheads phone started buzzing from the coffee table, pausing the TV, he grabbed his phone to see a message from Veronica:

Veronica: I'm on my way back to yours with betty. She got drunk and is crying, she wanted you.

Jugheads eyes widened as he read over the text. Betty was drunk? And crying? Betty doesn't drink, and she's never been drunk before. Before jughead could worry even more, he heard a car pull up and he opened the front door to watch as Veronica pulled a sloppy Betty out the car and up the steps. "What happened?" Jughead asked, meeting Veronica half way and taking Betty into his arms. "Juggie!" Betty hiccuped, tears still on her face. "We we're having a little drink, while doing facemasks, and we were catching up but the more she started opening up, the more she was drinking" Veronica started. "And then she had the whole bottle and burst into sobs because she said she was sad" she explained. Jughead sighed, looking down at his girlfriend in concern. "But honestly, i think she's really struggling, I know she's been through a lot recently, but I don't think she's being honest with us about how she's feeling" Veronica said and jughead nodded. "I know... I'll talk to her tomorrow, thank you for bringing her home" he said. "You're welcome" she smiled. "Take care of her" she said, before heading back to the car. "Come on betts" jughead said, leading Betty into the house. After getting her some water, he took her upstairs where he had managed to get her into her pyjamas but she wouldn't get into bed. "Betts, I need you to get some sleep" he said softly, taking her hand and leading her to bed. "But juggieeeee" she whined, as he lay her down. She kept moving and kicking her arms and legs all over the bed. "Hey, Betts, lay still honey" he said, and she stopped moving and went completely still before bursting out laughing. If jughead wasn't so concerned, he would be amused. Jughead climbed into bed next to her and ran his hands through her hair, knowing it made her sleepy. "Go to sleep baby" he said softly, as she slowly drifted to sleep.

The next morning jughead was downstairs eating breakfast. "Where's Betty?" FP asked. "She's still sleeping, she had a rough night" jughead said. "Oh? I thought she was staying at Veronica's last night?" FP said. "She was but Veronica brought her back last night, Betty got drunk" jughead told his dad. "Drunk? Betty got drunk?" FP asked, shocked. "Yeah" jughead nodded. "Apparently she got really sad and cried and wanted to come home" jug sighed. "I'm really worried about her dad" jug added. "She's been so sad lately and I don't know what to do, to help" he said. "Betty has been though so much, too much for her age" FP started. "You just need to be there for her, reassure her that she's loved, because she is by all of us" FP said and jughead nodded. "I have to get to work, I won't be home until dinner, but call me if you need anything" FP smiled, patting jughead on the back before leaving the house. After his dad left, jughead decided to head back upstairs and see if Betty was awake. He found her still asleep in bed, so he sat next to her and gently shook her awake. "Mmmm" she groaned as her eyes opened. "Morning baby" jug smiled. Betty's eyes looked around the room before she felt her stomach churn and she shot out of bed and ran to the toilet, emptying her stomach. "I've got you baby, let it out, it's okay" jughead soothed, rubbing her back and tying her hair up. "Ewww" Betty moaned when she pulled back. "Are you okay?" Jug asked, knowing how much his girlfriend hated being sick; but before she could answer she was throwing up again. When she was done, jug handed her a cloth to wipe her face and ran his finger across her cheek. "Are you done?" He asked and she nodded. "What happened last night?" She asked, as jughead helped her up so she could brush her teeth. "You got drunk at veronicas, and you wanted to come home, so she brought you home" he told her. "I got drunk?" She asked and he nodded. "No wander I feel awful" she sighed. "Why don't you have a shower baby? Then we can get you some food?" He suggested and she nodded, he kissed her head before leaving her in the bathroom. When Betty was done and she was showered and dressed, jughead decided to go and get them pops. "Do you want to come?" He asked Betty. "I don't know, I kind of just want to stay here.." she said. "Okay betts" he smiled and Pecked her lips before heading to pops.

After they had eaten, they were cuddled up on the couch watching a movie. "Baby? Can I talk to you about something?" Jughead said, softly. "Yeah" she said. "Veronica told me when you got drunk that you said you were sad" he started. "And I've noticed you've been really down lately... talk to me baby" he pressed. He heard her sigh, before sitting up so she could face him. "I've just felt a bit down, a bit lost" she admitted. Jughead didn't say anything, just let her talk. "I don't know what to do juggie, I don't feel like myself I'm just sad" she sniffed and jughead noticed the tears falling down her face. "Why haven't you told anyone betts?" He asked. "I don't want to burden anyone" she cried. "We all love you betts, you won't be burdening anyone" he assured her. "I love you, so much and all I want is for you to be happy" jug said. "I know, it's going to take some time because you've been through a lot but I'm here for you" he smiled, wiping her tears. "Next time you feel like this, come to me okay? I'm here for you" he said and she nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tight. "I love you" she said. "I love you too" he smiled, kissing her head.
