"I love you Jug... I won't ever stop loving you" Betty cried over the phone. It made jugheads heart drop to the floor. "What?! Betty What are you saying?! Where are you?!" He yelled down the phone. "I'll see you soon" she whispered and hung up. "BETTY!" Jug screamed. Jughead, Archie, Veronica and Kevin were stood on the coopers steps, having just found out that Hal cooper was the black hood, but nobody could find Betty. "We have to go to the wyrm!" Jug said frantically and they all rushed off. "Okay Serpents listen up. Betty just called me too say goodbye... I think she's handing herself over to the Ghoulies!" Jug said and everyone looked panicked. "What?! Why would she do that?!" Cheryl demanded. "I don't know! But all I know is my girlfriend is currently out there, upset and not in the right mind set because her dad just tried to kill her and her mother!" Jughead growled. "Toni, where was penny hiding out?" Jug said. "Come on I'll show you" Toni said and they all drove off.

"Betty?!" "Betts!" "B where are you?" They all yelled as the walked around the clearing penny was hiding with the Ghoulies. "OH MY GOD! BETTY!" They heard Archie screamed and then they saw Archie carrying Betty out the woods, her pink dress was dripping with blood and dirt and her hair and face were stained with her blood. "Betty..." jug whispered and he stood frozen. Around him, everyone was rushing, calling parents and the ambulance and Archie was laying Betty on the ground, looking for a pulse. It took a moment but jughead snapped out of his thoughts and dropped to his knees next to Betty. "Betts? Can you hear me? Baby I need you to wake up" he sobbed as tears fell from his eyes. "Please betts..." he pleaded. After what felt like an eternity the ambulance arrived and Betty was taken away. "Come on let's meet them at the hospital" Archie said to jughead and pushed him into the truck.

"Family of Elizabeth Cooper?" A Doctor came out. Alice wiped her eyes and stood up and jughead stopped pacing and turned to the doctor while everyone else just stood up. "Is she Okay?!" Jug asked. The doctor sighed "she's very injured, a few broken ribs and a broken arm, she has a concussion and she had a lot of cuts that needed stitches, but she's lucky, she should make a full recovery" he informed them. "Can we see her?" Jug asked. "Yeah shes Just woke up" the doctor said. "You go first, I'll go and get her some clothes" Alice said and jug nodded before rushing off to where Betty's room was. When he opened the door to her room, it broke his heart to see her laying in the bed. "Jug.." she croaked when she saw him. "You scared me... don't ever do that to me again Betty cooper, I thought I'd lost you" he cried. "I..sorry.." she said and he watched as tears pooled in her eyes. "I...thought after my dad... I could help by making peace o..on the north and Southside... my dad killed people... ruined lives... I just wanted to fix something" she sobbed. "No no no betts, Shh" Jug said as he rushed to her, kissing her softly and wiping her tears. "You are not to blame for your dad did, you didn't do anything baby" he said as he hugged her. "Do you believe that? Do you believe me?" He said and she stared at him for a moment before nodding "Okay". "Now, there's a lot of people who are waiting to see you. Are you up to it?" Jug smiled.

1 week later:

Finally The day betty was released from hospital was finally here. Alice had agreed to let betty stay with jughead and FP in the trailer because that's where Betty felt safest and Alice had decided to take a trip to see Polly after everything with Hal. All their friends had been busy helping bring some of Betty's stuff to to the trailer so she'd be comfortable. The day betty was discharged, FP and jughead were the only ones there to take her home. "Can you help me change into some sweats?" Betty asked jughead. "Of course" he smiled. "I'll just go and sort your discharge papers" FP said and placed a kiss on her head before leaving the room. Carefully, jughead helped Betty out of her her hospital gown and into some clean clothes. "I can't wait to have a shower" Betty sighed. "We can have one when we get home Baby" Jug smiled and kissed her softly.

When they arrived at the trailer, they set Betty up on the couch and jughead threw a blanket over her and kissed her nose. "Do you need anything baby?" He asked and she shook her head. "No thank you. Can you cuddle with me?" She asked and who was he to deny her. "Of course I can" he smiled and sat next to her; his arms came around her and kissed her softly. She rested her head on his shoulder as he stroked her hair, and she fell asleep. When FP Came back from getting them all pops, he found Betty asleep in jugheads lap and jughead watching tv. "Hey, she Okay?" FP asked and nodded to Betty. "Yeah shes Okay, just a bit sore" Jug sighed. "She'll be okay Jug" FP said. "I know she will, I just hate that she's in pain" jug said. "How about you wake her up? She needs to eat and it's time for her next round of painkillers" FP said and jug nodded. "Betts? Wake up honey" Jug said as he gently shook his girlfriend awake. "Mmm Juggie no.. I'm tired" she mumbled and tried to fall back asleep. "I'm know and I'm sorry baby but you need to eat and have your medicine" he said. He helped her to sit up and he smiled at her grumpy pout. "I know you're sleepy but please just try and eat?" He said and she nodded. "Here you go darling" FP said and handed her a pops bag. "Thank you" Betty smiled. "And these" he said and gave her the pills she had to take. "Thank you" she sighed and jug rubbed her back as she swallowed her pills.

Later that evening when Betty and jughead were in bed, Betty's head on his chest and his arms wrapped around her. "Thank you for looking after me" she said. "I'll always look after you betts" he said. "I know and I love you for that" she said and kissed his chest. "I love you more Betty cooper" he smiled in the dark and watched as she grew more and more sleepy until she fell asleep, safe in his embrace.
