Jughead found his friends lounging in the student lounge during lunch. Archie, Veronica, Kevin, Cheryl, Toni, sweetpea and fangs all greeted him when he walked in. "Hey guys" he waved. "Where's B?" Kevin asked. "She's got an exam" he explained. "Anyway, why she's not here, I have an idea" he started, grabbing their attention. "So, as it's Halloween coming up, which Betty loves, I was thinking after school we could go pumpkin picking and then head back to mine to carve them?" He suggested. "I want to do something to cheer betts up after her dad and her mom and Polly at the farm" he added. "That's a great idea!" Everyone agreed. "Yeah! And we can watch horror movies after!" Toni added. "I'm in for anything to cheer Betty up" Kevin said. "Okay great! We'll meet after school" jug said.

When school was over, jughead met Betty at her locker. "Hey baby" he smiled. "Hi" she said, pecking his lips. "How was your exam?" He asked, holding her books for her as she opened her locker. "Stressful" she sighed. "I'm sorry to hear that betts" he said, lacing their fingers Together and leading them out the school. "But what if I told you that I had something fun to cheer you up?" He smirked. "What?" She smiled. "Well, were going to get in my truck and drive to meet our friends at the pumpkin patch, then we're going to go back to ours and carve them and watch scary movies" he told her and watched as her face lit up and she grinned. "Really?!" She squealed. "Really" he nodded and Betty jumped in his arms. "Thank you! I love you!" She said. "I love you too" he smiled, kissing her softly. "Now come on, pumpkins need picking" he said, leading her to the car. Betty was so excited, the whole car journey she was bouncing in her seat; Making jughead smile at how happy she seemed.

When they arrived at the pumpkin patch, jughead had to run to catch up with Betty who had bounded out of the car and rushed over to their friends. "Hi guys!" She beamed. "Hey" they all smiled. "You seem in a good mood cousin" Cheryl observed, it was a rare occurrence these days to see Betty like this. "Because of the pumpkins!" Betty giggled, before walking off and looking at all the pumpkins. "Wow, this really did cheer her up, huh?" Archie said, as their friends watched Betty. "Yeah, she needed this" jug smiled. "Juggie! Come on!" Betty called him. "Coming!" He laughed, walking over to her. They group of friends, all walked around the pumpkin patch looking for all their pumpkins. The whole time that Betty was looking, jughead was snapping pictures of her. "What about this one for you?" Betty asked, patting a large pumpkin. "Seems good to me" jug agreed. "Great!" She beamed. She bent down to pick it up. "Hey, let me get it baby, Don't hurt yourself" jug told her, picking it up. "Okay, now let's get yours betts then we can start carving them" he said.

After everyone had picked their pumpkins, they all went back to the cooper-Jones house to carve them. "Okay, I've placed knives out for everyone" Betty announced. "I have my own" Sweetpea laughed, pulling out his switch blade, causing jug to playfully roll his eyes. The group all got started on their carving. "What are you carving?" Betty asked jughead. "That is a secret" he laughed. "You won't even tell me?" She said, sweetly batting her eyes. "Sorry babe, flirting won't work on me" he chuckled. "But good effort" he added. "Fine then, you can't see mine then" she huffed and he smirked at her. After many laughs later, they were all done. "I'm going to chose some movies!" Toni announced, heading into the living room with Cheryl. "We'll get snacks!" Fangs added, following Kevin and Sweetpea into the kitchen. "I want to see your pumpkin B!" Veronica smiled. "Okay" Betty smiled and spun her pumpkin around to reveal a small face on her pumpkin. "That's a very Betty pumpkin" Archie laughed. "Now juggie, let me see yours" Betty grinned at her boyfriend. "As you wish" he smirked and revealed his own pumpkin, which has a 'B+J' carved in it. "Aww juggie!" Betty said in awe. "You've gone soft dude" Archie chuckled. "You're so sweet" Betty smiled and kissed him.

Hours later, after many movies and snacks, laughs and jokes, everyone had gone home and Betty and jughead found themselves cuddled in bed. "Did you have a fun day?" Jug asked her, running his fingers up and down her arm. "Yeah, it was the best" she smiled. She rolled over so she was laying on top of him. "Thank you for today, you truly are the best boyfriend" she said, honestly. "It was nothing" jug smiled, placing a kiss on the tip of her nose. "I'd do anything to make you happy Betty cooper".
