Betty had to stay in the hospital for a lot longer than anyone expected. They'd done a scan and found she had an infection in her blood caused from internal bleeding; it was all under control but she had to spend two weeks in the hospital.

"Hey you" Jug said leaning down to give her a kiss. "Hey" she smiled. After they had both finally admitted their feelings for each other they'd started dating. "I missed you last night" Betty sighed. "I know me too betts... but I'm working the day shift today" he smiled. "That's fine V kept me company" she grinned; jughead loved she'd gotten on so well with all his friends. "Oh yeah? Did she sneak you in more chocolate?" He asked with a knowing smirk and she nodded and giggled. "Okay you.. let's check your bandages" he said and she groaned. "I know you hate it baby but we need to look" he said, helping her sit up. "It looks like it's healing" jug said as he took off her bandage to clean the cuts and then wrap them again. "Well it doesn't feel like it" Betty mumbled and jughead snapped his head up to look at her. "Betts... we spoke about this..." he sighed. "If something hurts you have to tell us" he said. "I know... sorry. I'm just used to handling things on my own" she said and played with her fingers. "Hey" he said and lifted her chin with his fingers. "You're not alone anymore" he said and she nodded and captured her lips with his. "Come on, why don't we finish up and go and get lunch?" He said when he pulled away.

2 weeks later:

"Hey gorgeous" jug smiled as he walked into her room. "You're finally being discharged tomorrow" he said with a grin. "I am?" She asked and he nodded. He frowned at her reaction. "Aren't you excited?" He said, placing his hands on her waist. "I am.. it's just.. I have no where to go" she said and to his horror, she starting crying. "Woah baby... shh" he comforted and pulled her into him and rubbed her back. "You can stay with me" he said and she pulled Back and looked at him. "What?" She said. "Betts... I love you" she said. "And I know it might seem fast or too soon but I really love you and..." but he was cut off by Betty kissing him. "I love you too" she beamed. "You really want me to stay with you?" She asked and he nodded. "I really do". "Okay... Yes. Yes I will stay with you" she squealed excitedly and jumped into his arms and giggled when he spun her around. "I love you" she said. "I love you too" he grinned. Never did he ever think he would fall in love with his patient.
