"Betty.. please I'm busy can you just leave me alone?" Jug said. Betty reeled back like she'd been slapped. She'd come round to his trailer to spend some time with him as she was having a tough time at home with her mom and polly always on about the farm. Jughead was busy with homework and Serpent business and he was stressed; he didn't realise he was hurting Betty's feelings. Betty didn't say anything to him and she just slammed the door shut on her way out. Tears built in her eyes as she walked out of Sunnyside trailer park. She still didn't want to go home so she texted Veronica:

Betty: hey want to have a girls day? Xox

Veronica didn't reply so Betty started walking and texted Archie and Kevin to see if either of them wanted to meet up; but again she was met with radio silence. Sighing and trying not to let it upset her anymore she turned in the direction of Sweetwater River; wanting to clear her head for a bit.

After an hour of doing nothing by Sweetwater, Betty decided to go to pops for dinner. What she wasn't expecting when she got there was to see Archie, Veronica, Kevin and jughead all sat in a booth. She felt her stomach drop and this time she couldn't keep the tears from falling. She ran out the diner so fast and kept running til she was home and in her room where she collapsed on her bed in sobs. She didn't know how much time passed but when she stood up, it was dark outside. Her phone hadn't Beeped once so her friends and boyfriend were definitely ignoring her...

The next day Betty woke up with a headache from all the crying the night before. She got up and she didn't bother with makeup or her perfect ponytail and she just shrugged on some sweats before leaving for school. When she got to school betty didn't bother going to the blue and gold; she didn't feel like working. As she was on her way to the toilets she bumped into Cheryl. "Oh cousin... are you okay?" She asked, looking at Betty's current state in concern. "Fine" she sighed. "No you're not" Cheryl said and pulled her into a empty classroom. "What's going on?" She said and Betty just burst into tears again. "I don't know what I did wrong" Betty cried. "What do you mean?" Cheryl said, handing Betty a tissue. "Jug told me to leave, Archie, Kevin and Veronica won't answer my messages and I went to pops last night and they were all there... without me" Betty sniffed. "Oh betty..." Cheryl said, sympathetically. "I'm sure there's a reason" she said. "Maybe but it doesn't make it hurt any less" Betty said. "Betty. I don't think you're fit to be in school today, you look like you haven't slept a wink... why don't you have the day off" Cheryl suggested and Betty nodded before thanking her and going back home.

Cheryl was on a mission as soon as Betty left she went to the student lounge where jughead, Veronica, Archie and Kevin were sat talking. "I hope you're all happy" Cheryl Said as they all turned to look at her. "What do you mean?" Veronica said, confused. "Betty..." Cheryl said and jughead sat up. "What about Betty? Is she okay?" Jug said. "No she's not... but it doesn't seem like you care" Cheryl Said. "Of course I care! She's my girlfriend!" He said "and our best friend" Archie added. "Is she? Because by the way I just sent her home crying it doesn't seem like she is anymore!" Cheryl Said, anger in her face. "What happened?" Kevin said. "Oh how about jughead she came to spend time with you yesterday and you told her to go away!" She started and he hung his head in shame "and then she text all of you to hang out and you all ignored her and imagine how she felt when she went to pops and you were all there... without her!" She finished. "She's my cousin! And family looks out for each other so fix it!" She said before storming out. "Oh god... I didn't even think when I sent her away I was just stressed!" Jug said, pacing the room. "I didn't mean to ignore her I was busy and when we all went to pops I assumed she'd be with one of us!" Veronica said. "Okay let's go to her house and apologise" Kevin said and they all left.

Betty stood up from the couch, in her pyjamas, when there was a knock on the door. What she wasn't expecting to see when she opened the door was to see the four people who ignored her. "Betts! We're so sorry" Kevin said as they all let themselves in. "What are you all doing here?" Betty said and her voice sounded defeated, making the others feel worse. "We're so sorry babe. We didn't mean to leave you out or ignore you... and I didn't mean to sound so harsh yesterday" Jug said, feeling awful for how he was making his girlfriend feel. "Yeah B! We love you" Veronica said. "Forgive us?" Archie said. Betty sighed and sat back on the couch. "Why did you all go to pops together? When I saw you all there I felt horrible" she said, Crying. Jughead was instantly crouched in front of her while the others sat next to her. "We didn't mean to leave you out we all went to pops without planning it... you're so loved betts" Jug said, wiping her tears and Betty nodded. "I forgive you" she said.

Later that evening when the others went home, jughead and Betty were in her bed. "I really am sorry baby" he said for the hundredth time that day. "I know. It's okay juggie" she said and snuggled closer to him. "I don't like that you felt so alone" he said and kissed her head. "As long as you promise to never leave me alone ever again" she said. "I promise baby" he said and kissed her softly.
