Jughead was sat in a cafe with his friends drinking coffee and catching up, while watching acts go on a mini stage and perform as it was an 'open mic night'. The whole time he was there all he could think about was Betty and how she'd love to watch all the acts. He hadn't checked his phone in about an hour and was surprised to see that he had Several texts from Betty and a missed call from half an hour ago. Damn it. He thought, how could he not have heard his phone. Quickly he opened the thread of messages she had sent.

*jug? When will you be home?*
*will it be soon?*
* I hate to be that person.. I need you*
* I know I said I'll be fine but I'm not*
* i know I'm probably being paranoid.. urgh never mind*

"Oh god" Jug, mentally cursed himself while grabbing his jacket and saying bye to his friends. He basically ran home to see if Betty was okay. He knew she wasn't fine when he left her she just poured her heart out and opened up to her mental health that she was suffering from and was getting worse and he left her. Once he reached the apartment he searched everywhere for her until he found her curled up, knees to chest in the bathroom, sobbing. "Betts? Hey.. hey what's happened?" He asked, rushing to wrap her up in his arms. "I'm sorry" she sobbed into his chest. "No do not apologise, what's happened?". " when you left I don't know I just suddenly felt overwhelmed and I don't know it scared me to think that I'm in this whole new city and it's all new and I know it's just paranoia and it's probably a side effect of that medication I had to take at the therapists office but it scared me.. I just felt alone." She continued to sob to the point she couldn't catch her breath. Jughead held her as tight as possible, it broke his heart to see her like this and he couldn't do anything to fix it. "Hey Betts come on take a breath.. I promise your safe and your okay and your not alone you always have me, always. I'm sorry I didn't pick up my phone quicker but I'm here now and I promise I won't leave you ever again" eventually he managed to calm her down and he had ran her a Bath and left her to relax while he made her favourite snacks and set them down on she table and found some light hearted sitcom on the TV that they could watch. It was at this point that he realised he would do anything for Betty, he had well and truly fallen for her.
