The sun was beaming through Jugs curtains when he woke up the next day. He reached for his phone to check the time. 11:17. He pulled on a hoodie over his pyjamas and went to see if Betty was awake. The kitchen and Living room was empty so he walked down the hall to Bettys room, knocking gently. When there was no response he opened the door to find it again empty but her bed was made. Jughead made his way back to the kitchen to get some breakfast when he saw a note stuck to the fridge. It read: 

To juggie, I've just gone to a hospital appointment which was at 10, be back soon! love Betty x

Immediately thoughts were racing through his head. Why was she at the hospital? was she sick? will she be okay? After a few minutes of worrying he made some breakfast and started to eat it at the table. Once finished he took his plate into the kitchen and started to brew some coffee. Suddenly the door opened and Betty walked in holding a pharmacy bag, she smiled when she saw him and took a seat on the kitchen stools. "hey are you okay? why did you have an appointment at the hospital?" jug asked, pointing to the bag in her hand. Betty's whole body shifted uncomfortably and she looked to the floor before answering. " oh erm... well before i moved here i suffered from depression and anxiety and it seemed to be fine but when i had my little freak out at the Ice Rink i thought it would be best to see a therapist in case  it started to become more frequent and new York is big and scary so it's bound to spike up my anxiety." she picked up the bag and emptied two pill bottles onto the counter top. "this ones for my anxiety, just for when i'm feeling overwhelmed" she held up another bottle. " and this is for depression because it got pretty bad last year and i couldn't leave the house so i wanted to be able to prevent that from happening again, just in case" she whispered, still not looking at Jughead. Jug stopped what he was doing and came to where she was seated, enveloping her in a big hug. "Betts i'm sorry you went, and are still going through that but you have me here okay and whatever you need i'm going to help you okay? you just have to talk to me, i promise you are not alone" she nodded into his chest. "if you ever feel sad, or overwhelmed or you feel like you need to take the meds please tell me, i want to be there for you, whenever, i don't care if its during class or the middle of the night okay? she was in tears at how sweet he was being nobody really cared before. He pulled out the hug to look at her, wiping tears off her face before she responded. "okay". They stood embracing each other before he went back to making the coffee and she put her new medication in a draw in the kitchen. After a few hours of lounging around Jug came into Betty's room, who was reading a book in her bed; he sat on the edge of her bed. "do you want to come out for dinner with me? i'm gonna meet some friends at a cafe?" he asked. she sat up and put her book down, smiling at him. "thank you for including me but i think i'm going to stay here, is that okay?". "of course thats okay" jug laughed. "do you want me to stay here with you?" he asked, looking at her with concern. "no you go and have a good time juggie, i will be fine" she reassured him. "okay call me if you need, bye betts" he said kissing her cheek and walking out. blushing she called out "bye juggie!".
