Once Jughead had finally managed to get Betty on the ice, he grabbed her hand and they slowly started skating. Betty wobbled a few times as she was trying to get her bearings so jug came behind her and snaked his arms around her waist, keeping her in balance. Just as she was becoming more confident in the skating, a bunch of teenagers quickly raced past her, knocking her backwards. Quickly, Jughead reached out to grab her before she fell. Once she was upright he lead her to some hay bails that were around the ice rink and sat her down. Noticing her erratic breathing he figured she was diving head first into a panic attack from almost reliving one of her worst memories. He took her hands in his and pulled her into his chest. "Betts, green eyes, look at me" she turned her head up to look at him. "breathe with me okay, just breathe in and out, that's it" Betty followed Jughead's breathing technique until she finally caught her breathe back and it subsided into small sniffles. She moved her head to hide into Jugs shoulder. "you're okay Betts, i'm here okay?" she nodded in response. After a while she was feeling better and they decided to brave the ice again. In the end they both had a great time, racing each other and enjoying the others company. The day was drawing to a close and the pair made their way back to their apartment. As soon as they got in they both changed into their pyjamas, and Betty put on her bear dressing gown, and they sat on the couch to watch a movie. Half way into the film Betty began yawning. "do you want to go to bed betts? we can finish the film in the morning" Jug asked Betty. " No its okay" she said, resting her head on his shoulder. 10 minutes later she was asleep. Very carefully, Jug carried her into her room and tucked her into bed; leaning  down he placed a soft kiss to her forehead before leaving to go and turn off the movie and to go to bed in his own room.
