The day before Betty's birthday jughead and Archie made her a chocolate cake for her birthday. "I think we did okay!" Archie said proudly smiling at the cake sitting on the counter top. "I know dude! It looks actually edible" Jug said, agreeing with his best friend. The boys put the multi coloured candles on the cake and put it in a tin and in the cupboard, High up on a top shelf so betty couldn't see or reach it. "Okay So is everything set for tomorrow?" Archie asked Jug and they washed the dishes. "Yeah, I've got some films, snacks, blankets and cushions all ready to make the perfect inside movie ever!" Jug said with a smile, imagining Betty's beaming face when she sees the birthday she had wished for right in front of her. "Have you wrapped her presents?" Archie asked. "Yeah have you?" Archie nodded. Jug and Archie had gotten Betty a necklace which was a locket on one side it had a picture of her and jug and on the other a picture of her and Archie. Archie then brought a scrapbook and filled it with pictures of them and her and jug and memories of their childhood all the way up to last week. Jug had brought her a few books she's been wanting, a brand new fluffy Dressing gown, a new bag she'd seen the other month that she was obsessed with and a joke mug that said 'worlds best girlfriend'. The boys spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the apartment and making sure everything was sorted for tomorrow. The boys were lounging on the couch when jugs phone rang. It was Betty:
"Hey Betts" he greeted.
"Hi juggie" her voice sounded flat.
"Are you okay?" Jug asked.
"Yeah I'm fine... it's just..." she trailed off.
"Babe? Where are you?" He asked.
"I'm at the library" she answered.
"Are you okay?" He asked, still confused as to why she was ringing.
"Can you and Archie come and get me?" She asked.
"Of course be there in 5, I love you" he said.
"Love you too"

Archie and jug made there way to the library where they found Betty sitting on the steps. "Hey" she smiled at them when they approached her. "You okay betts?" Archie asked as they stood in-front of her. She nodded . "Babe your confusing us why did you want us to pick you up?" Jug asked cupping her cheek. Betty sighed and stood up, losing her balance and tumbling down the steps only to be caught by the boys. "Woah" Jug said. "What the hell betts, your leg!" Archie said pointing to her leg which was bruised and bloody. "Betty what the hell happened!?" Jug yelled. "Okay well...it's kind of embarrassing" she whispered. "I was in the library and I was the last one in and I really wanted the book on the top shelf so I stacked all the books up to climb up to reach it and it fell and I feel onto the the floor but there was glass on the floor from where I dropped my mug I was holding and i managed to get out here and now the adrenaline is wearing off and...OW!" She Managed to get out before she was crying in pain. "Hey Betts it's okay, it's okay come on let's get you to hospital and fix you up.. don't worry" Jug said pulling her close. Archie helped her stand and jughead ended up carrying her to the car. Once at the hospital they were waiting to be seen by a doctor. "It hurts...ow..ow" Betty cried, she was seated between Archie and jug and both of them had their arms around her To try and calm her down. "Elizabeth Cooper?" A doctor called out. Archie and jug helped her limp over to a bed the doctor lead them too and she pulled the curtain. Betty sat in the bed crying while gripping onto her boyfriend and best friends hand who were sat on either side of her bed. "Ow..ow.. ow..ow" she said as the doctor examined her. "Well miss Cooper, good news is it isn't broken it's just bruised and mild infection but some medication will have you feeling better in now time but for now resting your leg for a week." The doctor said, the doctor went through some more information and spoke to the boys making sure they know what to do and how to look after her and things to look out for. An hour later jug was getting Betty ready to go home as she was being discharged while Archie picked up her medication. "Well betts, you are the only person I know who goes to the library and ends up in hospital" jug laughed as he helped her put her coat on. "I told you it was embarrassing" she said, but her face was sad. "Cheer up princess it's your birthday tomorrow!" Jug said, pecking her lips. Once they were Betty went straight to sleep curled up into jugs side. In the morning Betty woke up to Jug gently kissing her face. "Morning juggie" "morning gorgeous happy birthday" he said. Suddenly Archie burst through the door with breakfast and presents singing happy birthday. She thanked him and opened all her presents loving all of them and kissing jug passionately and then giving Archie a massive hug. Archie took the Tray of breakfast and gave it to Betty accidentally placing it on her leg. "OW" Betty hissed. "Oh god I'm so so sorry!" Archie apologised as Jug rubbed her back to soothe some pain. "It's okay" Betty reassured Archie. Jug carried her to the living room and the rest of them spent the day watching all the films they had picked out, eating snacks and cuddling under blankets and as Betty couldn't go to college because of her leg they spent the next couple of days being cozy on the couch.
