The next morning, Betty was pacing her room. She hadn't slept, and hadn't been able to fall asleep, she had been stressing about the medical exam since Reggie brought it up at dinner the day before. Not knowing what to do, or how to calm her nerves, she took more pills, before hiding them back under her mattress. About an hour later, there was a knock on her door and jughead walked in, a big smile on his face. "Good morning beautiful! I thought I'd come and see if you were awake" he smiled, moving towards her and pulling her in for a kiss and then holding her to his chest. "Morning" she said, trying to make her voice sound Normal. "How are you this morning?" He asked, pulling back to look at her. "I'm okay" she shrugged. "Did you get any sleep? You look so tired baby" he said, worried. "Not really, I... I'm just a little nervous for this medical exam" she told him, half telling the truth. "Why?" He asked. "I don't like needles" she said. "Don't worry about it, I'll be there with you okay?" He smiled, kissing her softly. "Okay" she said, Leaning up to kiss him again.

At breakfast, it was just Kevin and Betty as Reggie and jughead had to prepare for the medical exams. "Betty? What is up with you? You've been acting weird the last couple of days" Kevin Said, after Betty kept zoning out when he was talking to her. "Nothing I'm fine!" Betty waved him off. "You're clearly not..." Kevin exclaimed. "Yes I am!" Betty snapped. "B.." Kevin started. "You know what? I don't have to sit here and listen to this!" She yelled and rushed off to her room, leaving Kevin, sat shocked. When she got back to her room, she took the pill bottle and took two more pills, wishing they would help her, but in reality they weren't helping her they were making her worse...

The time finally came for the medial exam; because Reggie and jughead were helping to set it up, Kevin and Betty we're together and we're going to have their blood test together. They were currently sat in a room waiting for jughead and Reggie to arrive, but Betty wouldn't sit or talk to Kevin. "Hey guys" Reggie smiled when they finally arrived. "Hi" Kevin said and Betty didn't say anything. Reggie and jughead took in the sight of Kevin and Betty, and frowned. "Everything okay?" Reggie asked. "Betty won't talk to me..." Kevin said and Betty lifted her head and glared at him. "Baby? What's wrong?" Jug asked, sitting next to Betty and held her hand. "Nothing" she sighed. "Betts.." jughead sighed. "Please.. just leave it" she whispered and jughead nodded, kissing her head. "Okay, come on" he said, standing up and holding a hand for her to take. "Let's get you two over with" he said and lead Kevin and Betty, with Reggie to where the Doctors were waiting.

The longer Betty was sat in the room, the more she felt her chest tightening and her vision become blurry. She watched as Kevin had his blood taken and she squeezed her hands on the chair. "Don't worry baby, it's all okay" jug smiled, reassuring her, still thinking she was scared of needles. "I..." she started but cut herself off. Kevin was done and then the doctor moved over to her. "Okay, let me just clean your arm" the doctor said and wiped Betty's arms. "Okay? Ready?" The doctor asked and pulled out the needle. "I.. sorry I can't!" Betty panicked and ran from the room, running all the way to her bedroom and collapsing on the ground, she scrambled to lift her mattress and pull out the aderall bottle. Her hands were so shaky that she dropped the bottle and the pills spilled all over the floor, but she didn't care, she just needed to clear her mind. She picked up some pills and shoved them into her mouth, before collapsing into sobs. "BETTY!?" She heard jughead yell and looked up to see jughead, Reggie and Kevin all stood in shock...
