The day betty was allowed on one of the centres outings because she had earned her privileges, she had woken up early because she was so excited. They were going to an art museum, not the best trip but Betty was just excited to go out. Kevin was also going, as well as Reggie and jughead as they were their councillors. A few other patients were going but not many. Betty was dressed and ready and made her way to the food hall to have breakfast with Kevin. "I'm so excited!" Betty grinned when she sat with Kevin. "I can tell" Kevin laughed. "Shut up! You've been allowed to leave this place I haven't yet" she smiled. "I know, I'm just Happy you get to come with me" Kevin smiled.

When jughead got to the centre just after breakfast, he made his way to his office before going to see Betty. On his way he bumped into Kevin. "Hey" Kevin smiled. "Morning" Jug said. "You're girlfriend is bouncing on the walls she's so excited for today" Kevin grinned and jughead laughed. "I know I could tell last night before I left" jughead chuckled. "I'm going to get ready" Kevin said and Walked to his room. Jughead made his way to Betty's room and knocked on the door. As soon as it opened Betty was in his arms. "I get to go outside!" She squealed and be laughed and wrapped his arms around her, walking them backwards and sitting them on her bed, her in his lap. "I know baby, you deserve it, you've been doing so well" he smiled, moving her hair behind her ear. "I'm happy You're coming with me" she smiled. "It will be like we're normal" she giggled. "Well we can go on as many dates as you want once you're out of this place" he smiled. "Promise?" She said. "Promise" he grinned, cupping her cheeks and kissing her softly. "Now, shall we get going?" He asked and she beamed, nodding frantically.

"Oh my god it feels so nice to be outside the centre!" Betty said, breathing in the air as they stepped off the mini bus. "I bet it does" jug laughed, slinging an arm around her shoulder. "Come on B, let's go and look at some art!" Kevin said, taking her hand and leading her into the building, jughead and Reggie trailing behind them. After about an hour of looking around, Betty was starting to feel slightly overwhelmed by being surrounded by new people and being out and about. She could feel her mind becoming Fuzzy and her breathing speed up. "Juggie?" She said quietly, pulling on his hand while Reggie and Kevin were distracted. "Yeah betts?" He smiled. "I need some air" she stammered and jughead snapped into action, leading her outside and onto a bench, where he knelt down in front of her. "Okay, take a deep breath..." he said. "... and breath out" he said gently, helping her through her panic attack and coaching her through some breathing exercises. When she was done, he wiped her tears and kissed her softly. "Are you Okay?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah. I don't know why that happened" she said, her voice still shaky. "You were probably just overwhelmed, it's the first time in a long time that you've been out in public" he said softly, reassuring her. "You're right" she sighed. "Are you Okay now? Or do you need a few moments?" He asked. "I'm okay" he said. He laced their fingers together and lead them back to everyone.

"So betts, because you got your privileges, you can go anywhere for lunch" jughead announced and Betty beamed, jumping up and down. "POPS" she squealed and jughead laughed. "I thought you'd say that" he smiled. They made their way to pops but Betty stopped before they went inside. "Can we get takeout and eat at the river?" She asked and jughead quirks an eyebrow, confused, but nodded anyway. "Sure. Wait here" he said and pressed his lips to her head before walking into the diner. Five minutes later, jughead came back out, a takeout bag in hand a grin on his face. "Ready babe?" He smiled and she nodded, taking his hand in hers and walking towards the river. Once they got there, they sat down against an tree, eating and watching the world go by. "This has been the best day I've had in forever!" Betty sighed happily, leaning against jugheads chest. "Me too betts" he agreed. "I can't wait for this to be our normal" he added, and felt Betty stiffen in his arms. "Betts? What's wrong?" He asked. "It doesn't matter" she said. "Talk to me betts" he pressed, moving her so she was facing him. "I... will you still want to be with me? When I leave rehab?" She asked, insecurity filling her eyes. Jugheads eyes widened when she said that. "Betty I need you to listen to me" he started, grabbing her hands. "I will always want to be with you. Always. I want to be with you now, and when you leave" he said. "I don't ever want to spend my life without you baby. The centre brought us together, it's helping you get better but I'm so excited for when you get out and we can start a new chapter" he smiled. Betty looked down at where her fingers were playing with his. "Promise?" She asked. "I promise" he nodded and pulled her in for a passionate kiss.
