Betty was kept in the hospital for the next two days and jughead had hardly left her side. Currently, Kevin was visiting Betty so jughead took the opportunities to head back to his apartment and shower, and change his clothes. "So, jughead seemed hesitant to leave earlier" Kevin smirked and raised his eyebrow at Betty. "Yes..." she said. "Why was that?" Kevin asked. "We... may have had a moment" Betty admitted and Kevin's eyes lit up. "Really?!" He asked, excitedly. "Yep... I told him I like him, and he said it back" she sighed happily. "OH MY GOD!" Kevin squealed and Betty put a hand over his mouth to quiet him. "Shhh" she giggled. "This is amazing!" He whispered. "But are you sure about this? He's your counsellor" he added. "I know but it's okay" she smiled. "This is the best news I've heard in forever" Kevin laughed. "I'm glad you're okay B" Kevin said, taking her hand. "I'm sorry I scared you" she said quietly. "It's okay, as long as you're okay" he smiled.

"Hey you" jughead said from the doorway of Betty's hospital room. She had just woken up from a drug induced nap and she was still a little groggy. "Hi" she mumbled. "How are you feeling?" He smiled, as he perched on the side of her bed. "M'kay" she mumbled and tried to sit herself up; which jughead helped her with. "You look better, not as pale" he observed and she nodded. "That's because I ate all the ice cream they gave me" she said and he laughed. "So I have some news but I think I'll wait until you're a bit more awake to tell you" he smirked. "I'm sleepy" she said. "I know you are" he said. "The nurse said I had pretty eyes..." Betty sighed; the drugs still having an effect on her. "You do. You have the most beautiful eyes" he said softly. "Well you have a beautiful face" she slurred. "Thank you" he laughed. "So do you" he added. Jughead stayed by Betty's side as she fell Back asleep and he just did some paperwork. When she woke back up again, an hour later, she was more awake and with it. "Hi" she smiled when she saw him sat in the chair next to her bed. "Hey betts" he smiled, putting down his work and taking her hand. "Good sleep?" He asked and she nodded. "Do you feel okay? Do you need any pain relief or anything?" He questioned and she shook her head. "I'm okay" she said. "Good" he said. "So, you're going to be discharged tomorrow morning" he told her. "But tomorrow is also family day" jughead told her, and she grinned "I get to see my family?" She said. "Yeah, you have four people coming to see you" he smiled and pulled out her file so he could check. "Fred Andrews, Mary Andrews, Archie Andrews and Veronica lodge" he read off the people on the list. He smiled when he saw how excited she was to see them. "Who are they?" He asked. "Veronica is my best friend who is dating my other best friend, Archie but he's basically my brother" She started. "We've been neighbours since we were 4, and his parents Mary and Fred are basically my second family" she told him. "I used to go to their house all the time when I was little and I didn't have to pretend there and I didn't have to worry about getting messy or dirty or being loud" she sighed and jughead squeezed her hand. "Anyway... after everything in my life fell apart, the Andrews took me in and let me stay in their spare room" she said. "Mary decorated it so it had my stuff in and Fred and Archie helped to bring all my things from my house, they're my family" she smiled. "They sound amazing" he said and she nodded "they are" she agreed. "Are they the reason you're here?" He asked, gently. "Yeah" she sighed. "I was really struggling and they sat me down and hugged me and told me that they want me to get better and I did, I want to get better" she said. "That was really brave of you" he smiled. "I don't feel brave" she admitted. "But you are betts... you're so damn brave" he said, leaning closer to her. "Juggie..." she whispered and their lips met...
