In evening Gupta's came for high tea on dadi's request or order maybe.
As all of them arrived Dadi came out of her room. Garima was very scared seeing her. Buaji and Shashi greeted her(Shashi by nodding)
Dadi:Garima will you not greet me? Finally i found you after so many years
Garima: Maaji, I am sorry. Please forgive me for that day. I didn't meant to do such thing. I am sorry. Please don't punish my daughter for my deed. Please. She cried.
Dadi: Well I should be the one asking forgiveness. I don't have any grudge against you.  I just wanted to confirm that Khushi is the same girl I am thinking about. (They were talking lightly so no one can hear)
Everything is fine. All were happy chatting throughout evening.
Nani's Room -
Dadi- Devyani Khushi is just like her. After all she is her shadow.
Nani: whom are you talking about?
Dadi: Prerna! Khushi's mother.
Nani: How do you know that?
Dadi: I knew just by looking at her. But after meeting Garima all my doubts were clear.

Flashback back.
Nearly 22 years back. When a huge wedding was about to take place. Groom was waiting for the bride impatiently. After being nearly 15 mins still bride didn't came. When they reached her room there was a letter

Dear Jiji and Jiju,
I am sorry for doing this to you. I know you both love me a lot but I can't marry Ajayji, I am always uncomfortable around him. He always lust for me. He is not the same decent man I met. I don't like him. And also I love Shashi Ji. He protected me when Ajayji tried enforcing his husband rights before marriage on me. I couldn't say that earlier. I was scared. I am sorry.

After Garima's rejection Ajay ego was hurt. He even asked Anurag leave his job Under Arvind. Anurag left his job and joined another.
Even after 2-3 years no girl was ready to marry Ajay (Characterless Man) and he was left frustrated. She even eyed Avantika but she escaped so he murdered both Arvind and Avantika and transferred property on his name.  When Subhadra got to know such thing She made Arnav and Anjali reach Delhi and asked Devyani to adopt them with their maiden name so Ajay won't find about them and they are safe. And she left for ashram cause if they were together he may harm the kids.

Dadi always considered Anurag and Prerna like family they use to work for Malik's but they were like family to them and Prerna was just like her daughter because of her simplicity and innocence she was loved by all and Khushi is just like her mother. Dadi tried to find about their family but got no information. She was upset about Garima running from wedding but after knowing complete truth she was guilty and wanted to ask forgiveness.
Khushi's Parents had accident naturally and Payal was adopted cause Garima had miscarriage and couldn't convince (that's why she is elder to Khushi)

Ok guys. I am stopping here with the past events now hope you are clear with this facts that dadi is not bad but strict for her children happiness.
