Movie Night
"So where are we at?" Bucky asked as he sat down on the couch beside Steve. He handed him the tea he had made for him, and held his coffee in his hand steady as he draped a blanket over Steve.
Steve gave him a smile at the gesture, and flipped through his notebook, "well, we covered Star Wars so it looks like our next task is The Lord of The Rings. Tony said that we HAVE to watch the extended version, and to be prepared because it's a long one."
"How long?"
"Apparently all the movies together add up to roughly eleven hours."
"What?!"
He grinned, "I know, but Tony said it's worth it."
"We better start now then," he said as he leaned back and began sipping at his coffee.
Steve turned on the TV and began playing the movie, "here goes nothing."

Bucky yawned and leaned in closer to Steve, his eyes drooping slightly, "they can't kill off Gandalf!" he exclaimed, "he's a fucking wizard! Something is not right here."
Steve chuckled lightly, "maybe he's not dead. Maybe he's just like someone else I know," he looked down at Bucky who was visibly struggling to stay upright and not fall straight into Steve's arm.
He had the blanket pulled up to his chin as he answered, "I really hope so."

They had made it to the second movie, and it turns out Gandalf really wasn't dead after all.
"I told you!" Bucky said with a tired grin on his face, "wizards just can't die."
Steve smiled, "they had me fooled."
Bucky didn't stop grinning for the rest of the movie.

It was 3:06 am by the time they made it to the third movie. Steve wasn't tired at all, but Bucky looked like he would crash any second. He gave up on holding himself up and was now completely leaning on Steve's shoulder. His arm was cold against his skin which alarmed him until he realized that it was his left arm. His cheek, on the other hand, was quite warm and he smiled at it being pressed against his shoulder. He was feeling very content in that moment, "hey Buck?"
"Hm?"
"Maybe we should save the next one for tomorrow."
"No... mm good Stevie. Just play it."
Steve did as he said, and they were only a quarter of the way through when he felt Bucky slump even more into him. His breathing steadied to a regulated and relaxed pace. He slowly and carefully draped the blanket further onto Bucky and moved his arm so that it was wrapped around him. Bucky now rested on Steve's side instead of his shoulder which looked to be a lot more comfortable.
Bucky responded in his sleep and nuzzled his face into Steve's shirt. He also wrapped his arm around his torso which brought a smile to Steve's face.
Steve began to fight his eyelids as well, but he was determined to finish the movie. His attempts were minimal in success and as soon as they got to the big battle sequence at the end; Steve's head slumped and he was now joining his friend in sleep.

Steve squinted at the harsh light coming in through the window, and groaned as he tried to move his head. His neck was all stiff from the awkward angle it had been forced into the night before. He looked down to see that Bucky was still passed out on him. He looked so peaceful that it broke Steve's heart to disturb him, but he had to get out of this position. A glance at the clock told him that they had slept through till noon. Natasha had probably looked at the security footage and will now bug them about this for weeks.
"Buck," he whispered.
No response.
"Bucky?"
Still nothing.
"Bucky?" he asked, a bit louder this time.
Bucky scrunched his nose a bit and shifted his body so that his face wasn't buried into Steve's shirt anymore.
"It's time to get up Buck."
He groaned, "so early," he complained.
Steve grinned, "actually it's not. It's noon."
Bucky opened his eyes and rubbed at them with his hand after he unwrapped it from Steve's torso, "noon?"
"Yeah. I guess it was a pretty late night last night."
Bucky sat up slowly with a little help from Steve and yawned. It always took him so long to wake up compared to Steve, "I guess so," Bucky agreed. We may need to watch the third one again."
"You think?" Steve asked as he got up and made his way to the coffee maker. He returned with a mug of coffee for Bucky and handed it to him.
"Thanks, Stevie," he smiled.
"No problem. We will try with this movie again tonight."
"Good idea."
"And after that, we have to watch the Hobbit."
"How long is that one?"
"It's only nine hours all together."
Bucky sighed, "thank god."
