I heard a knock on my door and was startled at first. I walked over and opened the door to see Kyla in black loose pants and a sweatshirt. "Bucky... You look so much better, how do you feel?"

"I feel so much better." Which is absolutely true. I am so much cleaner. The shower water was practically brown as it washed over me. "Can I come in?" She asked. "Yeah" I said and she came in.

Her hair was up in a pony tail and she has blue eyes that I can fully see now her hair is up. She sat on my couch and laid down. "Steve designed this room, you like it?"

"Yeah, it feels like nothing changed." I said and walked around. "What time is it?"

"3:30" she said and I sat on my bed. "What time does the sunset at?" I asked. "6 here, so I'll wake up and then we can go, let's go to bed right now I'm so tired." She said and grabbed a blanket off the bed and walked to the couch.

She was fast asleep seconds later, no joke. I closed my eyes and fell asleep in this bed, that was way to soft. I feel like I'm gunna sink right to the floor but it was so much better than the cold ground.

"Bucky get up!" I heard. I opened my eyes to see Kyla hovering over me. "Let's go sleepyhead, it's gunna start soon. I got us dinner to for the show." She smiled and pulled out a bag with a burger logo on it.

We walked to the roof and it was pretty beautiful up here.

"Isn't it beautiful?" She said and sat down on the ground. "Yeah, it is" I said and she handed me a water. "We still have some time so eat up, and later if you get hungry for a midnight snack, just knock on my door. We can go together." She said

She was so sweet and nice to me. How did I not see that she was trying to help me all those years ago? If I had stayed instead of running, I would have been with her and all better by now.

"So, how old are you? Like I know you're like 90 something or whatever, but like-"

"I'm physically 28" I cut her off. "How old are you?" I asked and she smiled. "You're never supposed to ask a lady her age." She teased.

"I'm 26" she said and took a bite of her burger. "How long have you worked with Steve? Or this company?"

"Well at age 14, my family was killed by some awful Hydra agents who broke into our house for shelter for a few days. I managed to hide in the kitchen cabinets and hid here for a day or two, then I remember hearing fighting and I opened the door a little bit to see what happened and Shield was there.

They took me in and I trained, not because they made me, because I wanted to make sure something like this never happened again. So I've made my way up the ranks to where I am today." She said. "I'm sorry that happened to you Ky, from the short time I've spent with you, you're the sweetest person in the world."

"You're to kind Bucky, you have been through worse and you're so brave and I think you're the toughest person I've ever met." She said.

"So, anything random you wanna talk about?" She asked to change the subject. "So, what do you think is the first thing I should catch up on?"

Her eyes lit up and she smiled. "the food and the new movies, we should have a marathon of good movies and food. Like there's so many new movies and foods, it's great"

"What else?"

"Well, the technology is a huge part of everyone's lives, so you'll need help with that. And.., it's just, everything changed. It's a lot to take in." She said.

"Okay" was all I said. She was quiet for a good five minutes and looked like she was contemplating on something important. "You can ask me anything..." I said and she looked up at me right away.

"Remember those two years ago? On the hellicarrier, when you and Steve were fighting and I was stuck under a beam. You kept saying you didn't know Steve and punching him. Now, I've been wondering this since the day you did it. But, why did you save me? You could've let me fall to my death, but you didn't and, was it because you knew it was the right thing, or something else?" She asked.

"It was just an instinct, like I needed to. I knew it was the right thing to save you." I answered honestly. I couldn't let her die. She made me feel different.

"Thank you for answering that" she said. I stayed quiet and we watched the sunset for a little while. The sky was orange and pink with purple, it was pretty damn beautiful. I've always liked sunsets more but I like teasing her about small things like this.

"Tomorrow Steve is going to want to catch up with you, I mean I've kept you all to myself. But he wants you to get comfortable around here. And then you'll need to meet Tony Stark, the owner of all this." She said and I didn't like talking with people. I haven't talked this much since I was in New York with Steve over 70 years ago.

"You'll be fine, but Tony does get a little to personal with this jokes and he can be rude, but he doesn't mean it. So don't take any of it seriously."

"His name sounds familiar, I think I've met him before? I'll think about it tonight." I said and something started beeping. She took out a small little device. "Hello?" She answered.

"Yeah, Bucky's safe, we're hanging out together, we'll be back in thirty minutes." She said and rolled her eyes at me.

'It's Steve' she mouthed to me. "Steve, just calm down, hold on." She said and handed me the device. "It's a phone, and Steve is on the other line, just tell him you're not dying or anything." She said and I picked it up.

"Steve, everything is fine." I said and he sighed over the phone. "Is this what you felt like every time I ran off to go fight in an alley?"

"Yeah, pretty much, get used to it." I laughed.

"Well have fun with Kyla, be safe." He said and the call ended.

"He's like this to me too." Kyla said. "He's just making sure we're safe, he is very protective." I added
