"I'm really sorry we couldn't go on that date." Jimin apologized.
"It's not a big deal. It's not like you wanted it to rain. This seems nice too." Yoongi said as he looked around Jimin's living room.
The couch had various fluffy pillows and a big throw blanket. The sound of the rain could be heard from the windows. The lighting was a little dim though to the curtains and the cloudy weather outside.
It felt so homey.
Since they started dating a few months back, he'd been to Jimin's apartment a few times. They mainly hung out at his house, but Yoongi did enjoy coming over to Jimin's place for a change of scenery.
"Yeah. This seems like a relaxing time. I'm making popcorn! Feel free to sit or do whatever." Jimin called from his kitchen.
Yoongi hummed as he approached the big window. He opened the curtain a little peeking outside. His apartment was located in the city. It was extremely peaceful to watch the rain fall over the tall buildings on a mid July afternoon.
There was nothing specific about this Saturday afternoon, but Jimin made everyday special. It could've been a Monday and it would've still been perfect.
"Ready! I brought you a Pepsi. I hope that's fine."
Yoongi put the curtains back and smiled, "Sounds lovely. Thank you."
Jimin put the tray of popcorn down along with the two cans of Pepsi on the center table. Yoongi sat on the couch as Jimin put the blanket over their laps to keep them warm.
Yoongi took the bowl of popcorn and put it between them while Jimin navigated the tv to find something to watch.
"I wish we could've done the weekend festival. It's a must on your bucket list." Jimin said in an apologetic tone. He truly did feel bad for the cancellation.
Yoongi chuckled, "Jimin, it's truly okay. My bucket list is incredibly long. We don't literally have to do every single thing. When we first met you got the short version for a reason."
"Are you kidding me? We must complete it all because my bucket list consists in fulfilling yours! I've been looking into number forty-six for a while now. Skydiving sounds thrilling huh?"
Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows, "Keep in mind that when I was making this list I was for sure I was going to die. I don't want to skydive anymore. I'm trying to slow the process and not progress it."
"What really? Taehyung's done it with his girlfriend and he says it's cool! He even sent me pictures! They did it not too long ago."
"Taehyung is also a psychopath so it's irrelevant."
Jimin laughed, "Fair enough. We could do indoor skydiving." He suggested while wiggling his eyebrows.
"Okay I'll be open to that. Maybe."
"Awesome. So what movie do you want to watch?" He asked, turning his attention back to the screen.
"Uhh...Twilight? It's raining and I'm down for some cringey love vampire shit."
"Oh geez. Namjoon makes me watch this every year! He hasn't lately and I'm assuming it's because he forces Jin to do it now."
"Yeah, Jin tells me how much he hates it." He chuckled.
Jimin smiled defeated, "I guess we can watch Twilight since you love it so much."
"Yes!" Yoongi grinned way too excitedly.
They watched the movie while occasionally chatting about how awkward it got at times. They also commented very often how hot Carlisle looked.
The movie was over in the blink of an eye or at least that's what it felt like. Jimin put the empty popcorn container on the center table and then laid back on his couch.
Yoongi was humming a tune to a song he'd heard on Tiktok while the soft rain noises in the background continued.
Jimin looked at him for a while and couldn't help but smile. He regretted wasting so much time denying his feelings because he would've had Yoongi much sooner.
He didn't know he was capable of having so much affection towards one person. Being with Yoongi was incredible.
He was able to be himself and Yoongi loved every part of him. Both the good and the bad. He was accepted and cared for and that was fulfilling.
The happiness he had with Yoongi was unbelievable. He reached over to hold his hand and this caused Yoongi to stop humming.
"What's the matter?" He asked slightly concerned.
"Nothing at all I'm just thinking about how lucky I am to have you. That's all."
Yoongi timidly smiled then he teasingly laughed, "Aww did watching Twilight get Jimin sentimental?"
"Oh fuck no. I'm just telling you how I feel."
"Admit it! Watching a seventeen year old girl pine for an immortal one hundred and something year old did something to you!"
"That's not true. You nearly cried when they danced at her prom night even though you've seen it a thousand times! You're the one that got all mushy about it."
"Nope, nope, just admit it."
Jimin straightened up and leaned over Yoongi who was still laughing. He kissed him mid laughter, shocking him a little.
"Fine. Maybe I got a little sentimental, but believe me it was not the movie. It's because I love you so much."
Yoongi's face was blushed pink. Jimin had never said he loved him. He showed his affection often but hearing him say it was heartwarming.
"You love me?" He whispered quietly.
"I love you." He repeated.
"I love you too Jimin." Yoongi admitted. It felt liberating to finally say it out loud. To let him know how he felt.
"Good. Thank you for loving me."
Yoongi nodded while his heart fluttered at having him this close. Jimin still made him all jittery when he kissed him and held him even though they've been dating for three months.
Jimin closed the space between them once again. His kiss was gentle and teasing in a way. The thing he did with his tongue and teeth drove Yoongi insane.
Yoongi pulled him by his neck trying to get closer to him if it was possible. He didn't want any distance between them.
Their kiss went from sweet to needy. Soul-searing kisses that made Yoongi's chest fluttered as he quickly returned them. His lips would for sure be bruised .
Yoongi could spend an eternity kissing him, touching him. Being weak to his touch and feeling the burning reverence his body reacted to him.
Jimin started scanning his hands over his body and Yoongi was already reaching under his shirt to feel his bare body.
His cold fingertips burned against Jimin's warm abdomen. He traced his fingers over his navel and all over his stomach.
Jimin pulled away to remove his shirt and started tugging on Yoongi's shirt but before he could lift it, he tensed underneath him.
"Do you want to stop?" Jimin
asked.
Yoongi remained quiet for a brief moment. They've gotten to this part plenty of times before but they always stopped because of him.
It's not that Yoongi wasn't ready or that he didn't want to. He was simply too self conscious to show him his body full of scars.
"They're not pretty." Yoongi murmured. "My scars aren't—pretty." He felt embarrassed to the point his face turned a bright red.
Jimin leaned over and pressed his forehead against his. "Hey, I've told you before that you're perfect the way you are. I don't mind any of your scars. They make you who you are. You love me just the way I am and I love you just the way you are. I wouldn't change a thing about you. You deserve this Yoongi." He whispered while caressing his face.
"You deserve to be loved. To feel loved. To feel good. Let me show you just how much I love you." Jimin added.
His words were so sweet they were like honey dripping from his tongue. Yoongi began relaxing his muscles and allowed himself to feel loved and wanted.
He'd been so insecure his whole life it was hard to believe someone truly craved him in a romantic way. So for the time being he let it be and pecked his insecurities up.
After everything they had gone through, Yoongi believed they deserved a soft epilogue.
