"So, did you—did you have fun?" Hoseok asked Jungkook as they both took a seat at a picnic table.
Jungkook nodded with a smile shivering a bit at the cold wind. It was quite sunny outside but the December breeze was unforgiving.
Hoseok pulled his mask down, shoving his hands in his pockets to stop himself from trembling. "Are you sure?" He asked worriedly.
This was their official first 'date' to say the least. They kept talking via phone and Jungkook often stopped by to visit after work and even on his days off.
Hoseok was more comfortable talking face to face with him after confessing his true feelings. He didn't blush as much as he once did. Things felt more—natural.
"Look, I'm going to be honest here."
Hoseok felt himself tense at Jungkook's words. Those typically never meant a good thing. He braced himself for failure and to not ever get a second date with him.
"I've never really been a fan of art. Not because I think it's ugly or anything, I've just never seen past the paint or sculpture. What I mean is I never got the meaning of it, but when you became my patient and started sharing your art with me, I saw things differently. You'd show me and explain what it meant and I could actually feel what you were trying to project. Coming to this art museum was definitely worth it Hoseok. It was lovely." Jungkook grinned.
At that moment, Hoseok swore that the sun shined brighter and he suddenly felt warmer. He couldn't help but smile back.
"Woah. Good thing. I was seriously worried." Hoseok admitted while releasing a deep breath. He wanted to impress Jungkook.
To let him know that he was a fun person. That Jungkook could be happy with him if only he'd allow himself to open up.
"You're worrying for nothing." He chuckled. "Oh! But I do think your art is a hundred times better though."
Hoseok kept smiling, "Okay you're just being modest here. They're way better than me."
"I like your art."
"Hmm. That's all that matters then." He said blushing at his compliment.
"How is Yoongi doing?" Jungkook wondered.
"Ah! He's doing amazing. He's actually scheduled to go home next week. I think it'll be good for him to be home for Christmas."
"That's really great news. I'm sure you can't wait to see him."
"Oh for sure. I haven't visited because I don't want to pry too much. I know how difficult it was for me to get through all the therapy and adjusting to my new life. I just wanted to give him space for now."
"I understand that. Do you think it'll be weird actually seeing him face to face?"
Hoseok nodded, "Yeah. It's funny because we're so close and yet we've never actually seen each other personally. We've never touched. It's strange knowing that we will be able to be in the same room now without killing each other." He laughed a little at the end.
"You two always did have an odd sense of humor." Jungkook said, shaking his head.
"You have to make fun of your miseries! Otherwise you'll rot and what's the fun in that?"
Jungkook agreed, "Yeah. You're a hundred percent right. Should we go grab something to eat now?"
"Sure. What are you craving?"
"Honestly I could eat anything." Jungkook said getting up from the bench.
Hoseok followed along, "Anything huh?"
"Yeah." He replied casually while holding Hoseok's hand.
Hoseok's eyes widened a bit, unsure of how to react. He was really thrilled in all honesty but he hadn't been expecting Jungkook to do this.
"Is this okay?" He wondered while intertwining their fingers together. Jungkook's face was tinted bright pink.
Hoseok's head nearly exploded. The way Jungkook held his hands felt so intimate. It was...romantic and he didn't know what the hell to do with himself.
As he looked at Jungkook, his soft eyes and red cheeks he saw it once again. The spark that was gone was back and he had that look while looking at him.
"Of course it is."
He finally held his hand back reassured that things were changing. A leap of faith never hurt anyone and from the looks of it, his leap definitely paid off.
He found himself pulling Jungkook closer. The sudden action cause him to almost stumble but he rested against Hoseok a bit tense.
Hoseok's heart started racing when he felt Jungkook's face pressed against the side of his neck. They never let go of their hands not wanting to break contact.
Jungkook felt Hoseok's free arm wrapped around behind him. This made him relax and he let go a little allowing his body to rest against his.
Hoseok kissed the top of his head and he took a whiff of his scent. There were so many times he had fantasized about holding him this way. Smelling him. Kissing him.
This was a dream come true.
"Jungkook, you've taken care of me for so long. Allow me to take care of you now. I promise I'll be gentle with your heart."

Jin stared at his phone screen intrigued. As he scrolled down the comments he was both fascinated and horrified.
They're so hot!
They better be a real couple because I can't!!!!
The dimpled one is definitely top ;)
"If you want to see me naked just say so." Namjoon said, peeking over his shoulder.
Jin screamed, startled and dropped his phone. He huffed picking it up afraid it was cracked but good thing it wasn't. His face suddenly turned a bright red, noticing that Namjoon had seen what he was looking at. He struggled to find the words to speak.
"Yeah right! I don't want to see you naked!"
He was relieved no one was currently in the gym locker room. He thought Namjoon would take longer in the bathroom so he decided to scroll through his social media.
A picture of Hoseok showed up at an art museum and out of curiosity he clicked on his profile. There he saw the many pictures he'd drawn of Namjoon and him.
Next thing he knew, he was on a fan account solely dedicated to them. It was funny that these people probably thought they weren't real but were still shipping them excessively.
Namjoon happened to walk in to him reading a post with a suggestive picture drawn of them. They tagged Hoseok since he was technically the one who started drawing them. It was fan art.
A part of Jin didn't know how to feel about his face being drawn so sexually. Let along with Namjoon beside him.
The old him would've flipped and been angry, but for some reason this made him feel things he couldn't describe.
"That's me right there and I'm almost naked." He said pointing to the screen.
"That's me right there too. Don't flatter yourself too much." He said locking his phone up. "Just because I went to read with you to the library and you bought my sushi after does not mean I want to see you naked."
Jin tended to blab when he got nervous. This situation wasn't the exception. Namjoon seemed to notice and he quite enjoyed teasing him when this happened.
"Well, don't you think I deserve this? To be naked in front of you after buying you sushi?"
Jin was baffled and then he processed what Namjoon said. "Ahh. You idiot shouldn't it be backwards?"
"Meaning?" Namjoon calmly responded. He leaned back on the lockers crossing his arms over his chest giving him his undivided attention.
"Well, shouldn't you ask me to get naked instead? Since you're the one that bought my sushi? That's usually how it works."
"What if I want to be the one that gets naked? What about my feelings?"
"Why can't we both be naked?"
"Oh. Hmm. Yeah. That sounds good. Let's do it."
Jin shrieked as Namjoon reached over to grab his shirt. "Oh fuck! No! Stop! We were metaphorically speaking. We don't have to get naked!"
"Jin, you can't play with my feelings like that. I learned in therapy that my feelings are valid."
"Did you also learn to not be a little pervert?" He asked with a blushed face.
Namjoon chuckled, "You're the one that started by looking at our porn."
Jin's eyes widened, "Hey! It's—it's not porn. It's—graphic art. I was curious, okay? I—I didn't even know such things existed. Did you know we have like twenty fan pages? These people probably don't know that we're real."
"Oh yeah. I follow every fan account I find."
Jin's mouth dropped open in utter shock. Namjoon shrugged like it was no big deal, only adding to the shock factor.
"Namjoon...why? Why? Just why?"
"Don't you find it flattering that people idolize us?"
"Together?" He whispered.
"Yeah. They think we look good together. I think it's cute."
"Oh yeah drawings of me with your cum sliding down my chin are so cute."
Namjoon smirked, stepping closer, "Those are always fun to look at."
Jin's blush deepened as Namjoon was only a few inches away. He nervously stepped back looking away from his eyes.
"Pervert. The biggest mockery of this is that they assume you're top and I'm bottom."
"You know what? We could prove them wrong right here and now. Show me."
Jin rolled his eyes, "Wouldn't you like that?"
"Yes. I would like that very much."
"Ahh. It was a rhetorical question." Jin murmured, opening up his locker.
Namjoon laughed standing next to him. He rested his head against the cold metal, "I'm kidding. It's all jokes."
"Oh so now you're saying I'm an ugly fuck? You don't want to fuck me?"
"I never said that. Stop putting words in my mouth."
Jin seemed flustered. He started fidgeting with his fingers as soon as he put his phone in the locker. Namjoon knew he was so he instantly wrapped his arms around him from behind.
For a second, time stood still. Jin's heart thumped fiercely in his chest cavity. He could feel Namjoon's breath behind his neck and his body pressed behind him.
"What are you doing?" He asked quietly. He thought about pulling away, but he didn't want to. He wanted to stay this way.
"I'm comforting you. You seem agitated." He calmly responded.
"Do you like me? Like for real like me?" Jin asked.
"Do you like me?"
"You can't answer my question with another question."
"I can because you're hard to read. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I'm the one that made the first move. The one that asked you our first. I liked Hoseok too, but you were in love with him. You mentioned you were going to your friend's Christmas dinner and that Hoseok would be there. What if when you see him all your feelings come back? I don't know, you might still love him and I might just be your pastime until you try to get with him again."
Jin was slightly tense. This was the first actual serious conversation they've both had regarding Hoseok. All their previous ones were fights about who would get Hoseok first.
Their whole 'relationship' had always been based on that. Hoseok. Now that they both knew Hoseok's heart belonged to another, they both made the decision to step away.
That gave them both the opportunity to know each other on a deeper personal level. They did everything together and Jin hadn't even realized until he stepped out of his box.
It hadn't occurred to Jin that Namjoon felt this way. That he was afraid Jin was only playing with him until he got to Hoseok. However that was not the case anymore.
Namjoon still held him. He didn't move. There was something comforting about his embrace. It was nothing sexual. He almost held him like he was a rare precious jewel that had to be protected.
Jin didn't know he could feel this much love through a single embrace. It had been so long since his heart had ached for this feeling.
He slowly brought his hand up and rested it over Namjoon's. "I...I do like you Namjoon. I've let go of Hoseok. He was very important to me and he will continue to be, but I've let go of the possibility of us two being more than friends."
Namjoon released a soft sigh. He closed his eyes briefly as a smile painted across his face. He slowly let go of Jin and finally they were eye to eye.
"So? You never answered my question. Do you like me?" Jin asked. His heartbeat was so loud his voice sounded distant. He hoped it had been loud enough for Namjoon to hear.
Suddenly, Namjoon stepped closer and he grabbed his face, pulling him until their lips met. His kiss was very gentle and soft. He took the time to explore his lips and tongue in a delicate way.
When he pulled away Jin was breathless. Namjoon grinned his cute dimple peeking through, "I told you we'd get to the kiss eventually. I hope this answers your question. I'll be waiting for you outside. I'm ready for our workout."
His knees nearly bucked as soon as the door closed behind. He had to hold onto the wall for support because holy shit.
It hadn't been his first kiss. No, there were others before Namjoon but what he just experienced was—magical.
Jin could feel the fire in his bones. Like his soul was drenched in stardust. He felt like fucking galaxies were dancing across every part Namjoon had touched. It was like taking that first breath after holding it in for so long.
He'd never felt more alive.
