"Why do people say sleep like a baby when babies are known to not sleep at night?"
Taehyung looked over at Jungkook who was staring at nothing in particular while eating a hot fry. "I am not quite sure." He replied a little confused at the random question.
"If a vampire bites a zombie does that mean the zombie turns into a vampire or vice versa?"
Taehyung chuckled, "Those are bizarre questions. Why're you asking all that?"
Jungkook finally turned to him, "Sometimes I just think about random shit."
"I see."
"Hot fry?" He asked, extending the ridiculous large back to him.
"No thanks. I don't do much spices."
"Your loss. It's fucking incredible." He grinned.
It was a very hot day, Jungkook still managed to look very handsome despite the humidity. He was sweating gracefully while Taehyung's underarms were puddles. He could imagine how disgusting he must've looked compared to him.
"We need to sit down for a minute. This heat is outrageous."
"That's fine. How about there?" He asked, pointing to a bench under a tree.
"Perfect."
They sat down and Taehyung attempted to roll his sleeves up further even though he was already wearing a short sleeved t-shirt.
"Who invented time?" Jungkook asked.
"Still with the impossible questions I see."
"I tell you what, I'm sure you can answer this next one."
"Alright. I'll try my best, but I tell you I do not know who invented time." Taehyung chuckled.
Jungkook smiled, "Will you go out with me?"
Taehyung's face dropped at the question. He hoped his blush wasn't as noticeable since the heat had made him flush either way.
There was a brief silence and with every second that went by Jungkook's smile slowly faded. "Well, I thought it wouldn't be an impossible question." He laughed awkwardly but it was clearly evident he was hurt.
"Jungkook, I really like you and all but having a label on what we have really freaks me out." He admitted embarrassed.
"Mmm. Afraid of commitment I see."
Taehyung sighed loudly, "Yeah. I am, but I think that I should explain why. Actually, I want you to know why."
"Alright, give it to me. It's my tattoos isn't it?"
Taehyung cracked a smile. He was happy Jungkook was trying to make the situation less uncomfortable, but he grew serious as timed went by.
"I know I've mentioned to you that I was in a relationship before but I didn't mention it was very serious. We started dating my junior year of high school up until a year ago. I loved this girl and we didn't break up over a stupid reason. We broke up because of school and different career paths."
Jungkook tried to not freak out but as soon as he heard the words 'girl' and 'love' his heart shattered a little. He wasn't a girl nor was he loved by Taehyung.
"Our schedules weren't colliding and she got sent to a hospital out of this town. I had this job here and I was willing to leave it, but at the time I was assigned to another person with cystic fibrosis. Then Yoongi came along and it felt wrong to leave him. She didn't want to make me pick between my career or hers so we agreed it was best to split up. I don't want to compare what we have to what I had with her. However, emotionally I don't think I'm ready to date you yet. I enjoy your company and our dates. If you're okay with it I would like to get to know each other better before jumping into labels."
Jungkook nodded his head slowly. He appreciated Taehyung being honest with him, but hearing all this was a kick to the gut.
Taehyung had lived with this woman for years. They dated for literally ten years. How could he ever compete with that?
"I don't want you to feel forced to do this...whatever we have. I just don't want to start something that could hurt you later on."
"I understand."
"Do you really?"
"Yes. Do you still think of her?"
"Yes. I spent so many years with her it's hard to forget it all. Every time I smell lavender it brings me back to her. It doesn't hurt as much as it did, but it's a wound that's still healing."
There it was. That familiar gut wrenching feeling spreading all over his body. It was bitter and a bit cold but it was the truth.
"Thank you for your honesty and for sharing something so intimate with me. I would love to get to know you better and maybe then you will learn to like me just as much as I like you."
Taehyung reached over and grabbed his hand. "I'm sure it won't be hard to fall for you."
"Look at you being sweet and holding my hand with hot fries dust."
Taehyung rolled his eyes looking ahead, but not letting go of his hand. Maybe he had already fallen for Jungkook; he just couldn't see it yet.

"So?" Jimin asked attentively.
"It's definitely great."
"Are you serious? You don't have to be nice because I bought it for you. You can be honest and tell me the truth."
Yoongi laughed while taking another sip, "I'm seriously not kidding. It's bitter but good bitter."
Jimin cringed as he remembered how bad the coffee had tasted. "It's plain coffee! No sugar! Not even Splenda. It's so yucky."
"Oh come on, if you actually close your eyes and appreciate the flavor you'll see it's not that bad."
Jimin stuck his tongue out, "I don't think so. You can have mine if you want. It was only fair for me to try it since you're doing it, but this is not for me."
Yoongi looked at the cup and then back at Jimin. He had already had a drink from it therefore that meant they would technically kiss if he drank after it. And holy fucking shit he was in love with this man.
He was about to kiss the man he was in love with through a coffee cup! He tried to control his spiraling mind and hectic heart rate. At times he truly did forget he was a grown ass man having these thoughts.
"I don't have cooties." He laughed.
"No I didn't say—"
"Do you want me to show you that I don't have any?"
Yoongi's eyes bulged a little bit, "Excuse me what?"
"I said you don't have to drink it if you don't want to."
"Oh right. Sorry sometimes my brain thinks you're saying something else."
"Ahh." Jimin responded a little confused.
"I don't hear voices or anything. I don't hallucinate. I—I'm just..." really horny. "Well, anyway Jeongyeon has set a date for her party."
"When is it?"
"It's this Saturday. I don't know if you still want to come." Yoongi murmured as he continued to sip his coffee.
Jimin kept going back to what his friends had said. Then about the fact that his mother was now making him a blanket and that his friends wanted him at the party.
His friends knew the truth and Yoongi was also aware this was fake, but the thing that worried him was his family and what they would say.
Would they be extra worried about Yoongi and his well-being? Because they didn't know that this was all pretend. They were seriously thinking that their relationship was real.
"Yeah I can stop by. Are your parents going to be there?" He figured he could do it days after the party so things wouldn't be as awkward.
"Probably not."
"Alright then. Are you excited for the party?"
"Not really. She wants to make it as authentic as a club as possible. She will want to play music and dance and I cannot dance, but if I don't do it I look like a dick."
"How about I teach you?" Jimin offered.
"Really? You wouldn't mind?"
"Not at all." Jimin responded with a smile.
"Okay. So what do I do?"
Jimin took out his phone and started playing a random song. "It depends on the beat. This is more upbeat so you just have to move your body to the rhythm. Do whatever feels right."
Yoongi looked at Jimin and felt the butterflies kick in. He looked so perfect moving his body to whatever song was playing.
"Okay." He replied as he attempted to replicate the moves.
Jimin smiled at his clumsy moves, "Relax your shoulders. Let your hands move freely."
"Okay relax and move freely." His arms started swinging violently from side to side startling Jimin.
"Shit. Okay, maybe not too relaxed."
"Umm...okay. Sorry."
"Let's try a different song." Jimin skipped to the next one, but it was pretty similar so he kept skipping until a new genre came up.
This one was slower and seemed more like a couple song. He turned to look at Yoongi, "Do you want to practice this so you can ask Jeongyeon to dance?"
"Why would....oh. Right."
Jimin felt a little more relaxed now that he recalled that Yoongi had a crush on Jeongyeon. That made him feel better and less guilty.
"Okay so in that case you would put your hand where my hand is at. Then hold her hand like this and she would place her hand on your shoulder." He said, slightly moving his portable oxygen strap on his shoulder.
Yoongi's heart was racing so much it was hard to hear his words. He didn't want to stop holding him this close. He wanted to fail miserably at dancing so they'd have to practice this over and over again.
Before he knew it, his body was moving without his brain tripping. All he could concentrate on was Jimin's face right in front of him.
"Now you have to lead the dance of course considering you're the guy."
"Okay yeah." Yoongi grinned.
"Are you sure you don't mind coming? I know that you don't talk to my friends a lot. I don't want you to feel weird."
"Oh it's fine. I know you and I will talk to you."
"Maybe you can invite a friend to come."
"Really? You don't think Jeongyeon would mind?"
"No, of course not. The more the merrier."
"Okay. I'll consider it. By the way, you're very good at this."
"Not so much at free dancing huh?"
"Well, there's definitely room for improvement."
"You're just being nice. I bet I looked constipated."
Jimin tried to hold his laughter until he finally couldn't. They laughed while still holding each thought it really wasn't that funny at all.
At that moment Yoongi didn't know what the future had in store for the both of them, but he did know one thing.
That he wanted to laugh with Jimin for the rest of his life.
