Run

Okay, now we are at the one of the most important bit.

Let's start with V, since he's the one who appears first. The first scene, you see V falling into the water with Butterfly playing in the background.

So, I think this is very very important. This is probably symbolizing both the butterfly effect and the ripple effect. By him falling into water, it is representing the ending part in prologue where V jumped. It shows that what's happening is caused by V's action, which was killing himself through the water.

Then, you see Rap Monster right after that scene. Which, in my theory means that he's the most affected by V's death.

Then, you see him in the area where I Need U was also filmed, where they all had fun to let go of their "dark times" as I expressed earlier. He opens the door.

But, the next frame leads to where Jimin's at the door and at some sort of party, but many of us figured that that's not what RapMon opened the door to, since his clothes change and you see later on, that he opens it to find a bunch of feathers and a playing card (an ace of clubs) with a butterfly.

Okay, so I think this is representing the butterfly effect once again, where all the members have been affected by what V had done. There are also the feathers which I will mention in a later post (I'm sorryyyyy).

Now, moving on to the party scene, after Jimin opens the door for RapMon. At 1:02, you see Jin holding a camera again, which probably means certain scenes in this party might be happening before the V jumping into water fiasco. Only certain scenes, though. Not all.

Now, this, I think is a symbolism. Not exactly fitting in a timeline, I suppose. At 1:11, you see V pushing Jin against the wall and marking an X on him, probably showing that he gave a major effect to Jin, or that Jin is the only one not that affected by V's jump. I think the latter is more probable.

In the next scene, you see V with Rap Monster, spray painting. And, when I mentioned earlier in prologue that there was a time gap. I think this was it. When V called "Hyung" I think he was calling Rap Mon to meet up one on one. To vent out his stress, so they go and do spray painting.

At 1:22, there is a light, probably indicating a police car. So, they're running. And, just so it feels "free" they make fun of them as they're running away.

At 1:55, you see Rap Monster and V get pushed against the police car, and they empty the bags full of cans that are with RapMonster.

So, Rap Monster, understanding V's problem, apparently after he called up RapMon in prologue, RapMonster is helping V clear his head, so he brought cans of paint, which would make sense.

At 2:00 you see Rap Monster smiling at V, like saying "It's okay, nothing will go wrong."

And, V smiled back, but then makes an odd face, (which I will explain in a later post).

Now, at 1:26, there is major major symbolism going on here. Jin is building a house of cards. And, which in my theory, he's trying to show the other members the distinct difference between reality and illusion, since according to my theory, he's the only one with a clear conception of it.

You see that all the other members are sitting behind Jin, but there's V, across from Jin as if he's the opponent.

A house of cards means something that is fragile, so Jin is trying to build a structure of vision for the rest. But, it is so unstable, that V's little swing demolishes it. I think that symbolizes that V is the one who's breaking the line that separates illusion from real life.

At 1:38, you somewhat see Jin looking into the camera in an odd way, like he's somehow also getting pulled into the world of illusion by a bit.

At 2:04, you see J-Hope on a bed and he looks up to see Jimin and then smiles at him.

Okay, so this is a continuation of that bathroom scene with J-Hope in I Need U. When he swallows the pills. He starts drug-use again and possibly gets in trouble again with it.

The room somewhat looks like a hospital room, but it doesn't look home-ey like a normal hospital would. It looks like a prison cell, the walls, which J-Hope might feel is the case as he's being trapped.

He sees Jimin, who he thought has lost since the reason he overdosed once more was due to Jimin's "drowning". That is why he is looking into the water sadly.

As I explained earlier, the closest to J-Hope is Jimin, so the first person he wants to see, when in an uncomfortable situation, is Jimin.

So, that's what happens. He "sees" Jimin in front of him, holding a pillow, as if he's also there.

But, then J-Hope pulls out his pillow and swings at Jimin. And in this scene, Jimin being hit isn't shown, so I assume it isn't. After J-Hope swung, I think it passed right through. The Jimin he saw was just an illusion, since losing his friends recently has caused him to just go hay-wire.

To prove this, you see in 3:29, a very stressful looking Hobi. That's because it's right after he swung at Jimin, and he realized his friend isn't there, but he's dead. Well, J-Hope thinks he's dead.

Now, at 2:10, you see everyone having a pillow fight, and feathers everywhere. Having looked it up, I found that feathers actually represent many things, and in that many things, it also represents freedom. So, by having a pillow fight, they just want their freedom from all that's happening.

At, 2:24, my favorite part. It's the Yoonkook fight scene. Okay, so in this situation, I think that Suga is having a hard time accepting the reality, while Jungkook seems to be trying to grasp what reality is (he might have realized it on his own, or with Jin's help).

So, he's trying to convince Suga. But, Suga violently refuses to accept. You see Jungkook hug him at 2:29, trying to calmly tell him. But, Suga refuses once again and throws Jungkook to the wall. Then, you see Jungkook punch Suga, trying to snap him out of it. But, being overly stubborn, Suga refuses once again, not wanting to accept what reality is at all.

Okay, and the part that I literally had an epiphany about in class when I was going over notes of this vid XD.

The part where Suga throws the chair at the mirror, shattering it.

A mirror symbolizes spiritual reflection, also it somehow shows what's real and what's not real.

And, there's one more thing. A blue rose symbolizes what's not real. Something that doesn't exist.

The blue rose is emphasised by the mirror, right before Suga breaks it. Suga sees it, he sees that it's not real with the spiritual reflection. So, he doesn't want to see it, and thus breaks it.

And, right before Suga breaks it, you see Tae, which probably means, that he's still causing all of this.

After the shattering, it goes to the house of cards, which I explained earlier is Jin trying to show the difference in reality and illusion. But it falls again, due to Suga's refusal and V's effect, which also confuses him himself that you can see in the next frame.

Then, it goes to a scene where everyone else is partying in the room, but all the mess is gone, and Jungkook is still there sitting there.

It zooms to Jungkook's face, and as he looks towards the mirror. Which, means right at the moment, he sees the spiritual reflection, and sees the difference in reality and illusion whereas in this scene the illusion is represented by the rest of the members.

And, you also see the blue rose flattened on the floor, which might represent the rest of the members denying it and not wanting to see the distinction of what's not real.

At 3:19, you see Jin holding a camera again. And, you see Suga running up to Jimin and looking down at him like he wasn't expecting him to be there. This looks like a continuation of the heavily walking of Suga at 1:47. At, 1:47, it looks like he's got really bad memories in that place. But, at this point, the fight of Jungkook hasn't happened yet (will explain in the next post). So, his anger is fleeting and when he sees his friends, his anger is uplifted.

Now, at 3:32, you see the different positions. J-Hope lying on Jimin, showing that he's being reliant on him. Same thing with V and RapMon, V relying on Rap Mon. But with Jungkook and Suga, you see Suga looking at Jungkook, but Jungkook looks another way. This is probably because Jungkook has given up on trying to convince Suga about all the illusion reality thing.

And, now you see Jimin look around. And, Suga watching the bird. Birds represent freedom, so he's just yearning for freedom. Then, you see V smiling at Rap Mon, showing that there isn't really a break in their relation. Then, there's J-Hope, looking dejected.

With, J-Hope and Jimin, I think they are separated at this moment, like at the scene at the prison-like hospital. So, they don't look too good.

You see Jungkook looking around with a serious face, meaning he's the one who's actually figuring things out between reality and illusion. While, right now, Jin is somehow being pulled in and back. The other members come to him, momentarily confusing him once more.

And, at 3:53, you see Jimin look at the camera, which is just a showing of the emotional state he might be in. Then, it goes to Jungkook looking at Jin, somehow asking him "Are you right? With this reality and illusion?" And, Jin looks back with a helpless expression, as if he isn't too sure himself.

And, at 3:56, you see Jungkook on top of the car, looking thoughtful. Then, he turns back. This showing that he realized what is truly happening. And, Jin's the once who's still got the most idea about the difference between it, is in the car. But, earlier, you see him also get confused. So, at this moment he's a bit confused.

He doesn't get out of the car, but he stays in, watching it. He's just watching his friends "have fun" and vandalise other cars. I think at this moment, Jin is just imagining things about his friends doing this. Also, Jungkook isn't seen doing any damage, just eating. So, Jin knows that Jungkook has realized something, and you notice that V is spray painting an X on the glass, again showing the reason for this might be V's doing.

The reason why I think this is just Jin's imagination until the point after he gets the members back on the truck is because of the people in the cars.

Okay, so if someone was spitting on your car and putting an x on it and literally dropping food everywhere and even pouring drinks over it, would you sit in the car and keep honking? I doubt it. You would probably get out and scold the person. But, all they did was stay in and honk, as if they were telling Jin to move.

(EDIT: O M F G
I SAW A COMMENT ON A YOUTUBE VID SAYING WHAT THE MAN YELLED IN THAT SCENE WAS ACTUALLY "MOVE YOUR CAR" AND NOTHING AGAINST THE BOYS WHO WERE TRASHING EVERYTHING

OMFG I WAS ACTUALLY RIGHT
I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING OFF WITH THAT SCENE

OMFG THAT TRANSLATION BASICALLY CONFIRMED THIS PART OF MY THEORY LMAO

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW SHOOK I AM RN)

Since Jin's car is in such a position, it doesn't allow the other cars to go by. And when someone yells by poking his head out, Jin's imagination starts doing the most realistic. Suga starts running, making the others run. So, Jin imagines an ideal situation where he picks them up while they're running, whereas, in reality, they've all been there the whole time.

Now, the scene in the bathroom. You see Jimin going towards the bathroom and opening the door to see everyone party. This time, it's Jin who pulls him towards it, to push him into the water, trying to snap Jimin out. But, it has the opposite effect, and everyone is still stuck in confusion.

Other than Jungkook that is.

At the end you see six of them walking away, then Jungkook looks back. This probably the point of view of Jin. Showing that right now, he's the only one with a true sense of reality, of drawing the borders where they are. It shows an empty space to where Jin would be, which shows that he was once a part of it, being confused, but now isn't. And, the first person view might be trying to say that he's watching the other member's backs and is still taking care of them.

Jungkook looking back shows that now Jungkook realizes now. He knows it, too.

So he stops walking, looks back at Jin and winks, telling him that he now knows.

Then, you see V come out of the water, showing that his actions have caused this. This video.

And, that's what I think is for this part.

Oh, wait! XD let me do the end bit with Jimin, too. (Of course, what is Jimin without tubs?)

After the credits, you see the scene from prologue I mentioned was very important.

But, in the picture Jimin is holding, Jin isn't there. Which I think means that either Jin took the picture XD or when Jimin looks at the picture, he notices Jin isn't there, getting reminded of his explanations on reality and illusion, so he burns it, wanting to deny it.

Either one works. If you go with that Jin took the picture, that means Jimin is seeing the fun times they had, and looks at J-Hope, and gets reminded that he isn't with J-Hope right now. So, he burns it.

Either theory works, in fact, both can work at the same time. Which is what I'm saying for my theory.

Then, he burns it and lets it disintegrate like he burned a piece of paper in I Need U. Which is even more interesting, because right afterwards, it shows a date saying.

2015.04.29 ~ Forever.

That was the date they released I Need U. And, maybe it means that what happened there, will stay forever. It will forever be in occurrence. Which also makes sense, because it's showing all the dark times.

Okay, moving on to the next one already, I'll briefly explain here. I think that the most of the things happening in I Need U, everyone's storyline other than V's (with some exceptions), happens after Run.

Well, then see you in the next post XD where I will make the timeline clear.

And, don't forget to leave a comment if you agree disagree and if I missed out anything.
