The hallway stretched out in front of me, unchanging, the same as it had always been.

Ahead, I knew exactly where I would always stop. I never reached the end of the hallway in all my time here at the hospital. I physically couldn't go any further.

My friends ran up behind me. As I got closer to the end of the hall, my feet grew heavier. I felt like I was going to collapse. The end of the hallway was right in front of me. I was so close to freedom...

My legs faltered.

"It's okay, Park Jimin!" Hoseok shouted from behind me. "Run!"

I closed my eyes and took a step forward. I didn't even have to open my eyes to know I'd finally gone farther down the hall than I ever had before. I'd gone over my boundary.

I pushed the door open. Air from outside flooded in. Something within me bloomed and my heart beat differently from what it ever had before. I was exhilarated.
