Sorry-Jimin

It wasn't the first time the maknae line had gotten into a fight. But this one was getting on the nerves of the rest of the band.

"Come on guys, it's just a dumpling!"

Jin said to the two in an annoyed voice, while the two continued to pass negative comments to each other and therefore ruining dance practice. It started with an usual dance practice day. They had just brought some freshly cooked dumplings from the store. It was popular even among the fans about how much the maknae line absolutely loved food.

But Jimin also had the habit, that whenever they would bring food, all of them would share and eat together. So Jimin thought he'd better eat them while the others ate. But Taehyung kept insisting that they should eat while they were still warm, or else, there will be no fun.

But the others wanted to eat them after practice, which would take two hours more. And Taehyung was too impatient to wait. So during the break , while no one was watching, he tried to sneak in one. But just as he had taken one bite, Jimin caught him.

"Tell your third maknae that! He is the one who keeps on fighting with me even after I stopped bothering him about it!"

"Tell Taehyung that I'm not a baby like him and I'm over it! He's the one who was selfish! I just wanted to have it with all of you! That's all!"

"So you are saying that I should just starve when I'm hungry?!"

"Enough!"

Yoongi came in between the two before the fight could get anymore heated. He was thoroughly pissed and they could see that right through his eyes.

"You two will either fix this issue between you within today, or just stay away from each other until you feel that you can communicate better with each other."

The oldest rapper hissed at them. The oldest of the two maknaes rolled his eyes while Taehyung just glared at him.

"Let's get over with it, please?"

The youngest pleaded. He really didn't like his hyungs fighting. It made him sad and he would do anything to make things right between them, even if it meant getting in trouble himself.

"Jungkook, you better stay out of this!"

Taehyung spat at him but he just shrugged. The second maknae has always been sulky whenever he had had a fight with any of the members. Especially when it was with his best friend.

"Taehyung, don't be rude."

Jin warned. Taehyung ignored the oldest and huffed angrily.

"I'm not apologizing to him."

Taehyung whispered through his greeted teeth and stomped off the practice room, slamming the door harshly behind him.

"Me neither."

He turned his head the other way and crossed his arms against his chest. At first, he did think that he could just briefly apologize to the younger. But the attitude he gave just now had pissed him off again.

If he is going to act like a brat, then there is no way I am apologizing to him!

He found it right to act that way. They decided to practice without Taehyung. It seemed to be much more peaceful, but the members couldn't help but worry about the younger.

"Do you think he'll be fine alone in the dorm?"

Hoseok asked the oldest who sighed, shaking his head. Taehyung sure was hard to handle and he still needed help for everything he did. Not like it was annoying, absolutely not. The members loved to spend time with him and feed the fickle boy's curiosity.

"He's not a kid. He'll be fine."

The oldest of the maknae line replied, rolling his eyes. Hoseok told him naively.

"The question was not for you."

The way back to the dorm was too uncomfortable for the members. Having Taehyung talking nonstop and giggling was what they were used to. Without the second maknae being mischievous felt really empty, even inside the car. Jungkook and Jimin would not talk to each other either. Even the driver noticed the tension.

"Did something happen?"

He asked in a monotonous voice. Yoongi chuckled and replied.

"Jimin and Taehyung fought over dumplings and are still angry with each other."

They saw the driver smile from the rear view mirror. They fought over some simple food and are mad at each. How cute.

On reaching the dorm they found Taehyung on the couch with a large bowl of popcorn in his hands, and a movie on the TV. He did not pay attention to the others members when they walked in. They exchanged relieved glances.

The oldest maknae went straight to his room, locking himself inside.

The members looked at Taehyung, who dramatically shoved another hand full of popcorns into his mouth and then back at the locked door of Jimin's room.

Nevertheless, they let them be the way they were. They realized that some alone time could make them realize how much they mean to each other. They know that the two possibly couldn't keep ignoring each other for much longer. They didn't ever hold any grudges. So they were quite shocked to see that it's already been a day since the fight and they are still hating each other's presence.

All the members retreated back to their rooms, except the maknae. He doesn't know about the other members, but the fight greatly bothered him. He didn't like to see two of his favourite hyungs being mad at each other.

He made his way to the second youngest and sat down beside him.

"Hyung."

He called, but Taehyung didn't reply. He eyed the movie he was watching. Definitely not something to grab his attention so well that he couldn't hear the maknae. Jungkook knew Taehyung was ignoring him since he knew that the maknae always wants to solve all the problems that arises between his hyung. But at that time, he was definitely not in the mood to talk to Jimin.

"Please hyung, go talk with Jimin hyung. If you apologize first, he would apologize too."

Taehyung rolled his eyes, slamming the bowl on the table, which made the youngest flinch and cower a bit away from him. He was tired of all the nagging from his members. Why should he be the one to apologize first? That too, when he hasn't done anything wrong? Just because he is younger?

"Jungkook, didn't I tell you to keep out of this matter?"

He asked in a calm, yet annoyed voice. But Jungkook kept on pleading. He did not like it at all. And the two being away from each other would also mean that he would have no one to mess around or pull pranks with. Taehyung glared at him and kept glaring till the younger quiet down.

For Jungkook, he definitely didn't want to get into a fight either. He was already in a bad mood. So he decided to leave him alone. He went to Jimin's room, to try for one last time.

"Jimin hyung?"

"What now, Jungkook? I told you to leave this matter just in between us."

Jimin seemed much more calm and nicer and Taehyung. But Jungkook knew that Jimin was only silent because he was hurt. The oldest maknae had the habit to become all silent whenever he is sad or bothered about something very much. Seeing two of his hyungs like that hurt his heart too.

"Can you please do me a favor?"

"Sure, what is it?"

Jimin replied, not moving his eyes from the computer screen.

"Go talk it out with Taehyung hyung."

He whispered it bluntly, with his head hung low, staring at the ground. He heard a sigh, then clicking of the mouse.

"Please, Jungkook. I already said I don't want to talk to him."

He turned his chair to face the maknae. He can see the maknae's teary eyes. He knew the maknae absolutely hated fights, especially which included silent treatments. He was known to be the one to love attention and give attention to the other members too.

With his hyungs fighting, he felt like it was him who was suffering. It was like a part of him had been torn away. A quiet sniffle was enough to shatter the oldest maknae's heart into several uncountable pieces.

"Jungkook, I- j-just not now, okay? I'll talk to him sooner."

He hugged the maknae. He knew that somehow or the other, the fight was effecting his groups. Honestly, he wanted to the fight to be over too. But he was really hurt by Taehyung's behavior towards him. So he decided that maybe, staying away from his so called 'soulmate' can give them more time to think about how they can solve things between them.

That was all the maknae needed to hear.

Jimin hyung told me he'll do it. So he'll definitely do it, won't he?

Jimin did go to help Taehyung with the choreography in the evening, but Taehyung spat at him some unnecessary insulting comments, which ended up ruining his mood all over again.

If he doesn't need me, I don't need him either! I was born without him, so I can live without him!

He said straight up at the maknae's face. It scared him. The hyungs had always had fights, but this seemed extreme. No fight had extended to more than a few hours. It was two days this time. He knew his two youngest hyungs had an unbreakable bond and so, it scared him more.

The dinner table was awkwardly silent as well. The two oldest maknaes had been seated far away from each other. The members tried to bring up small interactions that Taehyung and Jimin had had to make some progress between the two, but instead got spat at by the second youngest vocalist.

"This isn't going to work! Why don't you understand. I'm not dumb to fall for your lame tricks."

"Watch your mouth, Taehyung. We are so done this."

Namjoon hissed, getting eyes rolled at by the later.

"It's not going to end as long as that favourite maknae of yours doesn't apologize."

Jimin bit his lips hearing that. By this time, his anger towards the younger had turned into hurt. He really didn't want to keep fighting for such small things anymore. He realized that. But by seeing Taehyung's attitude, he really didn't know, that even if he wanted apologize, how he'll do it without getting harsh replies spat at by him.

"Kim Taehyung. That's enough. You are going to go straight back to your room and hand in all your electronics after dinner."

"I'm not a kid anymore that you can take my devices away and 'ground' me."

Taehyung said in a harsh tone and dropped his messy plates in the sink, making a loud noise purposefully to show that he was angry.

"That may be your point of view. But you are going to hand in the electronics to me. You like it or not."

Jin applied, not moving his gaze from his own plate. Hoseok was sitting right next to Jimin, and softly rubbed his back, seeing the younger's sad expression. He kept nibbling on his food, even after Taehyung left and kept thinking about what younger had just said.

Is this fight going to put a bad effect on our relationship? Is he going to hate me forever? Will he never talk with me, play with me or simply be with me ever again?

He stood up, pushing his chair back and dropping his utensils on the table.

"I'm sorry I can't finish the food. I'm not hungry anymore."

He said and went to the sink to wash his hands. He heard Yoongi talk from his back.

"But you've barely touched it."

He heard some concern in the older's voice. It was very well known among the members and fans about how Jimin had earlier suffered with his Eating Disorder. So the members had been very careful and made sure that he is eating enough.

"I'm sorry for wasting it. Thanks for the delicious food though."

He immediately left the room without sparing a single glance at the others. The members were, to be honest, very concern. The fight seemed to have gotten to Jimin and affected him.

"If it doesn't get solved by the end of this week, I don't care what happens, I'm stepping into the matter."

Yoongi said in a annoyed, yet concerned tone. The other members put forward their desire to help as well.

Night was even harder for the second youngest, to have shared the same room as Jimin. It brought a lot of negative thoughts in the older's mind.

What if Taehyung doesn't want me to sleep in the same room as him.

What if he doesn't want to hang out with me anymore?

Who will sing 4'o Clock to me then?

A tear rolled down his cheeks before he could wipe it off. He entered the room and found Taehyung already cuddled up in the blankets. He had his eyes closed, but Jimin could sense that the younger was still awake.

Taking the chance, he tried to make Taehyung realize that he didn't like to continue fight at all. He wanted to make things right.

"T-Taehyung."

He shifted up on the bed and put a hand on his head.

"I-I know I shouldn't have fought with you over such a lame thing like that. I was so childish."

He gulped back the lump that had formed in his throat and his eyes started to fill up again. He softly rubbed the boy's head.

"Please, I'm so sorry. Talk to me."

He whispered, the tears rolling down his cheeks as he climbed up beside Taehyung and laid down, hugging the boy. He really missed his soulmate. It hurt him way too much to feel themselves falling apart. He couldn't bear the thought of his best friend of more than 10 years, hating him.

He cuddled with Taehyung, shoving his face into the blankets and cried more. He had completely forgot about Taehyung being awake and had let all of his suppressed feelings out. His sobs got muffled by the blankets as his cries increased.

Suddenly, a large hand made it's way out of the blanket and wrapped itself around Jimin's body. It startled the oldest maknae so much that he almost screamed. Taehyung had wrapped Jimin in the blanket too and hugged the oldest tightly, snuggling his face in the older's chest. Jimin was too shocked to react.

"I'm sorry too."

He whispered in a raspy tone. The older's eyes filled with more tears. He hadn't had any affection from the younger for two days. It felt like years that he had last heard this tone being used for him. The tone he knows his Taehyung uses. Another fresh batch of tears started to pour out of his eyes.

"I was childish too. I shouldn't have fought over just a dumpling. I'm sorry. I've said many rude things to you. I didn't mean any of it."

He realized that the fight was indeed pointless. Of course, that damn dumpling is not more important than his best friend! That's when the guilt started to hit him. He recalled the things he had said to the boy earlier that day. He even called the boy a fat pig, knowing how much sensitive the boy can get with that topic. Tears started to prick his own eyes.

"I'm a terrible brother. I did nothing but being terrible to you."

Jimin could feel the younger's tears wetting his shirt. He realized that at some point, they felt the same about the fight. It felt like heaven, being in each other's arms. They found their comfort in each other and nothing else. Being away from each other was what made their shitty mood. They knew, they were really each other's soul mates. They really need each other to live.

"You're the best brother I could have ever had. It's over now. Let's forget it, hm?"

He wiped his own tears away and smiled at the younger. Taehyung hesitated to look. After how he had treated the older, he felt very embarrassed to face him.

"Please, Look at me."

The older pleaded. Taehyung bit his lips, and reluctantly raised his head up. His eyes widen when he saw his blood shot red eyes. How much did he cry? He had hurt his soul mate and made him cry. He thought he couldn't feel anymore guilt.

"I'm so sorry."

Taehyung repeated, looking straight into the older's eyes. Jimin smiled and caressed his cheeks, placing a small kiss on his forehead.

"You don't need to say that anymore. Everything is alright now."

The younger nodded and placed his head onto the older's chest. He closed his eyes, relaxing at the steady sound of his heartbeat.

"I love you, hyung."

An incredibly wide smile took over Jimin's face. Taehyung had never failed to express his love for the hyung and his only maknae every single day. But Jimin being the one to hear it after two days, felt so nice that it almost teared him up again.

"I love you too, Tae."

He whispered, feeling the boy already asleep in his arms, his own arms and legs cradled with the later. The smile didn't leave his face as he fell into a deep slumber as well.

The members were shocked to see the two enter the practice room the next day, laughing and talking loudly with each other and even holding hands.

"In which direction did the Sun rise today?"

Jin joked. Taehyung started to explain the previous day's incident with a short laugh.

"This boy cried like a baby!"

He exclaimed, pointing at Jimin whose face had already started to turn red from the embarrassment. He gave the boy a small tug.

"Yah! You cried too!"

"But you were literally sobbing into the sheets so loudly!"

Taehyung burst into fits of laughter as Jimin attacked him with tickles. The members stood and watched them silently.

"Just think about how they were last might and look how they are now."

Hoseok said with a smile, pulling onto Namjoon's hand. The leader shrugged and looked at the clock.

"We can give them 10 minutes of fun before starting, can't we?"

"Sure, I mean look at them."

The youngest pointed at his two hyungs.

"Watching them is more fun than dance practice."

Even Hoseok agreed to that statement. The members just knew it. No matter how many fights they have or how many obstacles they face, nothing, absolutely nothing can break the bond of the two. It only made them develope a stronger bond.

"These two kids are gonna make me insane one day."

Yoongi said with an annoyed look on his face. Jin laughed ruffled his hair playfully, receiving a grunt from him.

"That's acceptable. As long as they are happy with each other."

3164 words.

I write for so long and thought it'll be at least 5000 words but it's not-😿

I see I wrote a Jimin oneshot after a LoOoOong time. Should be better than the previous one.

So, yeah. That's all I wanted to say. I hope you've enjoyed it.

Thanks for reading! It means a lot to me!
