Yoongi wasn't a big fan of water. But of course he wasn't going to let anyone know about it. That would be a bullet put right in his ego.

And that's what prevented him from disagreeing when the company planned to shoot a brand new episode of Run BTS in the beach.

The members were often grouped into teams of two, except the maknae line who are almost always group together.

Unlike other times, they had to travel to a beach quite far away from their dorm. Other times, they'd just rent a huge pool, where the members were to do small, random challenges and tasks. This time, however, they wanted to spice things up. They wanted the challenges to be tougher and more 'adventurous'.

The group had to arrive at the shooting spot a day before the shooting actually took place as there were a lot of arrangements to make. A decent house was rented for the members to stay. It was a five-day shooting and the members had to stay there for the time being. The younger members expressed their excitement for the shoot.

"Let's try and hold our breath underwater for as long as we can."

Taehyung said with a smile, but the others whined, not agreeing to the idea at all.

"We all know you can hold your breath for a surprisingly long amount of time under water, Taehyung. It's not fair for the others."

Jin said, but Taehyung showed him a cheeky smile.

"Not my fault that you all suck at it."

He chuckled as he went out of their house, saying he wanted to take a dive into the miniature pool in the garden. The other members warned him that if he didn't come back in an hour, he'd not get lunch. He knew his members were joking.

The day went by in the blink and Yoongi could feel anxiety rise in his chest as he laid in his bed. It was midnight and to his fortune, he had gotten an entire room to himself. He'd pretended to sulk about it, when in real, he was more than willing to spend time, especially nights, alone.

He stared blankly at the dark ceiling, cold sweat running down his forehead. For some reason, he was shaky. He'd checked his phone but it was almost 40 degrees. He blamed his anxious mind for that. He'd always been shaky and sweaty when he's anxious. He didn't even know why he felt so anxious to have a shoot in the water. What could go wrong?

You could drown. Like you once did as a child.

"I was just a kid at that time. I didn't know how to swim."

You still don't know how to swim.

"History doesn't repeat itself all the time."

It may. And this time, there may not be someone like your dad to save you.

He sighed, turning to his side and covering his ear with his side pillow. He convinced himself that there would be a lot of people during shooting, so even if something goes wrong, there would be people coming to his rescue.

He kept chanting in his mind, about how the next day was suppose to be a good day as he would be shooting for ARMYs. And eventually, he fell asleep.
_______________________

It was not a good day. As soon as the sound of the alarm reached his ears, he felt his head pound and a pulsing pain arouse behind his eyes, making him wince. He slapped the alarm shut, and rolled over, pulling the blanket up higher and was about to dose of again when he suddenly remembered about the shooting. He shot off from his bed, only for black spots to appear in his vision that made him stumble back, falling onto the bed again.

Please not now.

He chanted in his mind when he realized what must have happened to him. He cursed at himself for overworking again. He'd often gotten sick from that and despite the continuous warnings from his members, he continued to ignore them.

He wasn't the want to fall sick very easily but when he did, his sickness came with terrible headaches and dizziness and he'd be quite grumpy when dealing with that.

But he didn't have time to be moody so all he could do was grumble to himself and get ready for the shooting.

The weather wasn't on his side either. It was terribly warm and he was sweating rivers, though he felt the complete opposite. He could feel heat rise inside his body and more than often, he felt black spots appear in his vision that made him halt his moves abruptly which in turn, led to a million question thrown at him by his members.

"I'm fine! Just zoned out a bit. Don't make it a big deal!"

"You don't zone out too often, do you?"

Jin spoke. He knew that his fellow member was probably coming down with something, but didn't say much about it. He knew Yoongi could take care of himself.

Yoongi ignored him and continued to scroll through his phone when a staff suddenly made an announcement.

"We're starting in ten minutes, get ready."

The members were soon evacuated to the beach. The colour from Yoongi's face almost drained out the moment he saw how huge the area of the water was. The water was almost clear, yet he couldn't see the sea bed.

No, no, no. It's too deep for me. Too deep.

It made him feel dizzy and panic shot through his chest. The moment he looked at the water, it made black spots appear in his vision and it made him stumble, almost as if he's going to pass out. Jimin held his wrist.

"Hyung, are you okay?"

He asked his hyung, a bit of concern in his voice when he saw how pale the oldest rapper looked. Yoongi snapped out of his thoughts, but was startled. He looked over and found Jimin staring at him curiously, waiting for an answer.

"No, I'm fine. I'm fine."

Jimin didn't push him anymore since he was too excited for the shoot himself. He smiled at the older and dragged him to the rest of the members, who were getting into position for their shoot.

Times flew quickly after that. The cameras were turned on and the members did their signature greet. Yoongi tried his best to push his worries aside and smiled at the staff as the rules for the games were discussed.

"The first game is easy. You will be made into teams and put into a small boat which would be set in water. Questions will be asked and time given to answer them will be limited and if you are unable to answer them, the boat will be pulled under the water for a few second as punishment."

Yoongi felt his breath hitch when he heard the instruction the staff blurted out, but he was quick to regain his smile. He couldn't let ARMYs see him as a coward.

Yeah, I can do that. I'll be groped. My members will be there if anything goes wrong. Nothing had ever went wrong during shoots anyways.

They were divided into three groups. Seokjin, Yoongi and Hoseok in the first group. Namjoon and Jimin in the second and the two youngest together as the third group.

The two youngest were euphoric over being grouped together. They giggled throughout the game, though they got almost all the answers wrong. By the end of their turn, they were soaking wet, but they didn't care as they ran out of the camera screen, wrestling with each other.

Yoongi sighed. He didn't understand how they were not scared. What if they got pulled into the water, so suddenly that they couldn't take a breath before being submerged? What if they remain under water for too long? They wouldn't be able to breath.

Next was Namjoon and Jimin's team. Their turn went quiet well, considering the amount of general knowledge Namjoon had, he blurted the answers to Jimin who yelled them out. They got just one wrong.

Yoongi's team was the last. He had no clue what he would be doing. He had broken out into a sweat and his legs felt like jelly as he walked towards the boat. His brain went blank and he wondered how he was going to answer absolutely anything.

On top of that, he could feel his body heat rising more. He knew he was sick, but didn't expect himself to go downhill that quick. He blamed it on his anxiety.

They were strapped securely on the boat, their back facing each other. Yoongi grabbed Jin's shirt in desperation.

They were asked simple questions about other members, most of which were answered by Hoseok. He was known to be very sincere towards his fellow members and remembered very detail about them. He was Yoongi's only savour at that time. Not until the question turned into mathematical ones.

"What 37 times 17?"

Hoseok was quiet. They didn't have such skills to solve a problem mentally, specifically if their time were limited. It makes them anxious and mess up over and over again.

Yoongi tried to count, but his hand were shaky and he couldn't focus. He felt extremely hot and uncomfortable. He heard someone say 'time's up' and in a second, he was drawn under the water. He felt his heart stop. He didn't dare to move an inch. It was barely five seconds that they were under the water after which they were immediately pulled up. But he was still frozen. The sudden action had knocked the breath out of him and he was stunt but after the adrenaline was gone, he started to shiver. Thankfully, it was the last question and they were pulled to the shore.

"Hyung, I tried to mouth you the question but you didn't look at me."

Namjoon whined but Yoongi just shrugged, sitting on the bench beside him with a bottle of water. He was starting to not feel well at all. His head ached from all the tension and partially from the fever. He was glad that the cameras were cut off. All he wanted to do was go home and sleep. Their break was very short and the cameras were turned on again for the next event.

"This one is not really a game, but you'll have to get up on a flyboard and try to balance on it for at least five minutes and if you fall, you have to start all over again. You will be given three tries, before a punishment is given."

At that point, he knew if the fever didn't make him pass out, the anxiety will.

Balance on a flyboard? Seriously? I literally struggled to keep my calm in a freaking boat and they want me to balance on water on a flyboard?

And to his bad luck, he was the first to go. His feet were strapped on the base of the board, so was his waist to keep him sturdy. He had a deathly grip on the handles. He was also provided with a life jacket and a helmet.

Even though he was provided with so much safety, it still didn't decrease his anxiety.

He could feel beads of sweat roll down his forehead and he was starting to feel lightheaded. He wanted to tell the staff that he wasn't feeling too good and he couldn't do it, but the cameras were on and before he could even get ready, the board was set off.

He was thankful that the helmet almost covered his face because he felt terrible and he was sure his face showed that. The movement made him feel nauseous and dizzy. The members cheered for him and giggled.

"It looks so fun!"

Taehyung yelled. Yoongi wanted to cry.

It's not fun at all.

His hands were still shaky, but he tried his best to keep his grip tight on the handles. The board made a sudden turn.

And that was it for him.

His grip loosened as black stops appeared in his vision and before he knew it, it was completely black. All he saw was black. All he heard was silence. His hands automatically slipped from the handle, making him fall backwards and into the water. The last thing he knew before going unconscious was pain. He felt pain all over his body, like as if he was just dropped onto a cement floor from a sixty feet tall building, and instantly after, he felt cold. Horribly cold. And then, his senses were completely gone.
______________

They saw it happen. They saw the boy loose his grip and fall into the water, causing a huge splash as he took the flyboard under the water with himself.

"Hyung!"

Jungkook screamed, diving into the water to reach for his hyung. The staff ran to turn off the electrical engine the board was connected to and the water came to rest. Yoongi was nowhere near the surface.

Two male staff, tall and buff, ran to the scene,  jumping into the sea. One of them held Jungkook's shoulder and stopped him from going further.

"Go back to the shore. Let us take over."

Jungkook trusted the staff and made his way back to the shore. By the time he walked up to the rest of the members, he had tears in his eyes. An accident like this had never occurred and it scared the hell out of him.

They saw the staffs go completely under water and waited for them to come up with their hyung. They waited and waited. Five anxious minutes passed by, before one of the staff emerged to the surface.

"There has been a problem."

The members felt their heart at their throats.

Is hyung okay?

"The strap of the flyboard is stuck to a Vallisneria and it's quite difficult for us to unwind it. We need more people."

Their faces went pale. Jungkook grabbed Taehyung's arm.

"Let's go, hyung. Yoongi hyung needs us."

Taehyung didn't hesitate to follow Jungkook. The members tried not to panic. They knew Taehyung could hold his breath under water for a pretty long time. They somehow managed to put on their swim suits and oxygen tank before diving in.

The members waited more. Jimin and Hoseok couldn't stop crying. They knew a person shouldn't be under water for too long. All they could do was hope for Yoongi to be okay.

On the other hand, Taehyung and Jungkook had managed to spot Yoongi, where the other two staff members were trying to free him too. Yoongi was unconscious and he was breathing in the water. Jungkook grabbed the star, pulling on it. It wouldn't bulge.

Taehyung grabbed it too and tried to unwind it. But it was wrapped in such a way that it was difficult to free it.

After a few tries, both of the staff grabbed Yoongi securely and gestured something to the two other members with their hand. Taehyung seemed to understand and made Jungkook hold the strap again, making a pulling gesture. Jungkook got the hint and grabbed it. The two staff nodded at them before Jungkook and Taehyung started to pull the strap while the staff pulled Yoongi in the opposite direction.

Snap.

They heard a snap. A Piece of the strap was seen still wrapped around the Vallisneria, but Yoongi was not attached to it anymore. He was in the staffs' arms. They had broken the belt strap.

Without wasting another second, the two youngest helped the staff hoist Yoongi to the surface. The members swarmed near the coast, having spotted the four with Yoongi. It felt like several hours before Yoongi was finally brought to the shore.

He was completely irresponsive and his skin had went pale. His lips were blue and that scared the hell out of everyone.

"Wake up, Hyung!"

Taehyung yelled, slapping his hyung's cheeks, but the older didn't react a bit. Tears finally escaped his eyes.

"Wake up!"

He repeated. The oldest made his way towards him and hugged him. Seconds later, sirens were heard. An ambulance car screeched stop a few feet away from them and two female paramedics jumped out of the vehicle.

They immediately started to hook Yoongi up to different machines. One of them started CPR on him. Hoseok looked away, feeling sick from the scene.

"Can't find his pulse."

He heard one of the unknown voices say and let more tears fall. A warm hand laid itself on his neck, pulling him towards itself. It was Jin. He sobbed on the older's embrace while Jin patted his back.

They started using a defibrillator on him after the CPR failed. The members wanted to believe that it was just a bad nightmare.

Suddenly, a beep was heard. A pulse.

The paramedics started to load Yoongi into the ambulance the immediately. The members said that they all wanted to accompany him and neither of the ladies had the heart to tell them no. And so, they all left for the hospital, leaving the staff to figure out the mess.

"Hyung."

Someone called his name, but it made his head hurt. He frowned.

Where was he?

"Open your eyes, hyung."

He tried to open his eyes and this time, it was surprisingly easy. The moment he opened his eyes, giant, round eyes appeared in his vision, startling him.

Jungkook.

"Where am I?"

His throat burned as talked and his hand automatically reached up to his throat, massaging it. A sudden, burning sensation made it's way up his chest too.

"M-My chest hurts."

He blurted out in a whisper. Jungkook plopped himself onto a chair beside him.

"You're in a hospital, hyung. And you're chest probably hurts because you have inhaled quite a lot water. Do you remember what happened?"

Yes he does. He remembered himself on the beach, shaking with fear. He remembered his temperature rise. He remembered getting up on the flyboard. He remembered getting dizzy while being on it. He remembered fainting. But after that, nothing.

"I fainted."

Jungkook hummed as he texted someone on his phone.

"Was it because of your fever or fear?"

Yoongi went quiet. He hadn't told the members about either of those, but now his secret was exposed.

"Fever."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

He asked in a calm tone, but Yoongi could hear the disappointment in his voice and it made him avoid eye contact with the youngest.

"Didn't want to bother. You all were so excited so..."

His voice trailed off and he looked up at the youngest. His eyes were now filled with tears.

"You could've died, hyung. You were under water for too long. Your phobia could've caused serious damage on your nervous system. There were so many ways you could've died that day, Hyung."

The tears finally fell from his eyes. Yoongi felt a pinch in his heart. He caused them so much trouble, didn't he?

"I'm sorry, Jungkook-ah."

"You were out for three days, hyung."

The door flew open and the members barged in. They all hurried their ways towards Yoongi, surrounding him from all directions.

"Hyung, are you fine?"

"How are you feeling?"

"Does anything hurt?"

"Jungkook texted us you're awake. Does everything feel alright?"

They all fired thousands of questions at him. Yoongi smiled a little at their concern and assured them that he was fine, aside from the chest pain.

"It'll go away in a few days."

Jimin said and looked over at Jungkook, who was still dabbing at his eyes. He went over and hugged him.

"What's wrong?"

"He was scared for me."

Yoongi replied on behalf of Jungkook. Jimin nodded and a moment of silence followed, before Yoongi sighed, breaking it.

"I'm sorry. I should've told you about this. It just felt really childish."

Jin patted his head fondly.

"It's not childish, Yoongi. You have something called aquaphobia and it's quite common. Don't be embarrassed. But yeah, you should've told us about your fever."

Yoongi shrugged, feeling sorry to have caused so much trouble.

"I didn't feel so unwell when he reached the beach so I thought I could manage it myself. I only started to feel worse after I was already on the flyboard."

Jin hummed in reply. Jungkook wasn't crying anymore. Yoongi gave him apologetic eyes but Jungkook didn't notice as a mischievous smile spread across his face.

"Hyung?"

"Yeah?"

"You really are a cat, aren't you."

The members giggled as Yoongi rolled his eyes. But at the end, he agreed to Jungkook, just to make him happy.

"Maybe I am. Cats hate water. And so do I."

"But I love Cats! And you too!"

3466 words.

DAMN it took a long time. I really need some inspiration and motivation cuz I'm in a writer's block like-95% of the time-

Anyways I hope you enjoyed it and sorry for the long wait!

See ya'll in the next chapter!
