Namjoon- shakes

Requested by the wheel of chance again 😂😂😂 let's see how this goes.

Something wasn't right. That's all he knew. He was just sat in his studio, not doing anything in particular, until he noticed his hand was shaking. A lot. He kept pressing the wrong buttons and it was down right annoying. He decided to stop before he accidentally pressed delete or something. He grabbed his phone and attempted to text the others, but ended up sending a garble of letters because his hand was shaking so much.

Jdjaocxehajajsb

Jimin:
Namjoon? You ok?

Namjoon gave up, throwing his phone onto the table and typed with his left hand.

My hand is shaking so much and I don't know why
I'm v scared ngl.

He typed out, clenching his right hand in an attempt to get it to stop shaking. It didnt work of course.
Jimin:
Hmm sounds weird 🤔
I'm sure it's nothing
You're at the studio right?

Yeah

Maybe go to our pt
He might be able to help

Namjoon took Jimins advice, and grabbed his stuff and headed to their physio therapist.
He knocked on the door, and carefully walked in, and their physio could already see the issue.
"Hi Namjoon! What's up?" He asked.
"Hi, sorry, I just- my hand won't stop shaking and I don't know why. Do you think you could look at it?" Namjoon said, clearly stressed about the whole situation.
"Of course, come sit." The pt said, patting the examination bed at the side of the room. Namjoon dumped his stuff to the side and sat up on the table. The pt felt around his arm and wrist, and he could definitely feel the twitching coming from halfway up his forearm. It was strange, that's for sure.
"Hmm I don't know. Maybe I should look it up." The pt said worriedly. In reality he did know, but it wasn't a good sign at all. He was just hoping it wasn't what he thought it was. But of course everything was pointing to the same thing.

Early onset Parkinson's.

Sure, it's rare for someone to get Parkinson's this young, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. The pt bites his lip and thinks about what the best way to break this to Namjoon would be.
"So uhh, from what I've found. It could be several things but the most fitting answer seems to be... Parkinson's." he says awkwardly. Namjoons eyes widen.
"But I'm not a doctor so I don't know for sure. It could just be nothing but... honestly the symptoms seem most fitting with yours." The pt says, being careful not to say the wrong thing. Namjoon just carries on staring into space, so taken aback by that diagnosis. No one wants to be getting Parkinson's at age 25.
"Ok umm," the pt says, clearing his throat. "How about we just get you home for now, just rest up for a little bit, and if it doesn't get any better, go see a doctor." He suggested, a hand on namjoons shoulders.

He was taken home straight away, and sent straight up to his room to rest. But it was hard to rest when he hand just wouldn't stop shaking, no matter what he did. He had noticed the shaking was already getting further up his arm. When the pt checked it it was about halfway up his forearm. Now it was at his elbow. Just constantly shaking and twitching. He could feel his muscles constricting, as if many little fireworks we're going off in his arm. It wasn't a nice feeling that's for sure.

Nevertheless, he tried his best to sleep through it, and somewhat succeeded. He had lots of short 1-2 second sleeps before being jolted awake by his arm shaking again. Jimin came in to check on him, and saw just how much his arm was shaking. It wasn't normal. Definitely not. He sat down on the edge of Namjoons bed, which made namjoon look up to find the source of the weight.
"How are you doing? Get any sleep?" Jimin asked softly.
"No, cause my stupid arm won't stop shaking. It's got worse, Jimin." Namjoon said angrily. He wasn't even worried anymore. He was just frustrated and wanted it to stop. Jimin also let out a frustrated sigh.
"I'm gonna go see if there's anyone I can call. Shout if you need me." Jimin says, standing up and leaving with his phone already in his hand. Namjoon watches as he leaves and goes to pick up the glass of water on his bedside table with his right hand before realising that's not a good idea. He rolled his eyes and had to sit up so he could use his left hand.

Jimin came back, phone in hand, sitting on the edge of his bed.
"So I called dr. Choi, and she said that we should keep an eye on it, and if it gets even slightly worse we should take you to a hospital immediately because it could be the start of a seizure." Jimin said sadly. He was praying that this would just go away and his leader would be fine. But life isn't that easy.

"It's been getting worse already. At first it was only in my hand and now it's gone up my arm." Namjoon said nervously. This definitely isn't good. Jimin bit his lip and ran his hand through his hair, letting out a deep puff in stress.
"Should we go to a hospital?" Jimin said, his hand still gripping his hair. Namjoon looked down at his shaking hand, and back up at Jimin. It was a hard decision. No one likes going to a hospital, but at this point it wasn't worth the consequences. It's better to be safe than sorry.
"Let's go." Namjoon said, standing up and walking past Jimin.

Everyone watches nervously as Namjoon and Jimin get ready to go. As he's trying to tie his shoelaces, his hand starts shaking even more, making it even harder to tie them in the first place. So Jimin offers to tie them, crouching down and tying them for him. The house had never been so silent.
"We'll be back soon....hopefully..." Jimin says, grabbing the car keys before turning around to open the door. The house continued to stay completely silent even minutes after they'd left. This wasn't normal. It wasn't a normal sickness, like a stomach bug or the flu or something. He was shaking. It's definitely not normal.

Even the car ride there was pretty much silent. No words were spoken other than the odd "are you ok?" From Jimin. Namjoon has noticed the twitches getting higher. It was about 3/4 of the way up his arm at this point. It was downright terrifying. And even once they got there, they had to wait for what felt like hours to be seen to, because for some reason his condition wasn't seen as serious, just because he wasn't in any pain, as if the signs didn't clearly point to something very serious.
By the time they got seen to, the shaking had travelled all the way up his whole arm. Now his whole arm was shaking. Things were progressing, and quickly. It didn't take much assessment from the doctor for his to confirm that it was indeed a seizure. It left the two of them feeling shocked. It's the kind of thing you never expect to happen to you, so when it does it comes as a big shock.
"Unfortunately there's not much we can do at the moment to stop this seizure. There is a medication we can try, but it's not assured to work."
"Well it's worth a try." Namjoon says with a sigh. This all felt so weird.

They take him to a bed and hook him up to an iv to give him the medication through, and Jimin sat next to him the whole time. He sent a message to the others to update them on what was going on.
Things aren't going great guys. Doctor said that it's most likely a seizure and there's not much we can do to stop it. We're trying a medication right now but it's not promised to work. I'm still praying that it will.
Jimin didn't get any response. Because how would you respond to a message like that. Everyone was shocked. Their manager had also been informed, and they were frantically trying to decide whether to let out a statement to fans or keep quiet. In the end they decided it was best to ask Namjoon if he wanted people to know.
"Joon, manager-nim is asking if you want a statement to be released to fans or whether you'd rather keep it quiet. What do you want to do?" Jimin asks solemnly. Namjoon let's out a sigh. It's a hard decision.
"Keep it quiet for now. Maybe release a statement when this is all over." He responds bluntly. He'd had enough at this point. He just wanted to go back home to his nice warm bed, and for his damn hand to stop shaking. He was being closely monitored by doctors, who at this point had pretty much confirmed that the medication didn't work. He would just have to go through the seizure and come out the other end.
"So unfortunately the medication hasn't worked, which means the only option left is for you to just go through a seizure, and we'll try our best to get you better as soon as possible after that, and find the cause, but for now, all we can do is just wait it out. One thing I will say is, your probably already feeling it in your arm, but seizures are intense. You will likely feel a lot of cramping, and your muscles will be sore for a good while afterwards. It's as if you've just done the workout of a lifetime. We will give you painkillers after if you request it, but I just thought I should let you know, so you know what to expect."
"Ok, thank you doctor."Namjoon mumbles, still in shock at the news. This is scary stuff. It's not just a little thing that he can walk out of here afterwards. He will be here a while.

Him and Jimin sit in silence, the ticking time bomb of a seizure about to pounce lurking in the air. The fear of it was quickly eating away at the two of them. For namjoon it was the fear of what it would be like to go through that. How painful would it be? Would he be awake or unconscious? For Jimin it was the fear of seeing his leader in such a state. They were pulled out of their deep mind spaces when a few nurses came in holding what looked like foam padding.
"This is just to put on the railings to stop him from hurting himself when it happens. Don't worry." Namjoon let out a deep, shaky sigh, running a shaky hand through his hair. He didn't care at this point. He just wanted to get it over with. The suspense was killing him.
The nurses put the padding on the railings and left the two in their tense silence again.

After about 10 more minutes of waiting, Namjoon knew the time had finally come. He felt the shaking quickly spread from his arms to his legs, and before long his whole body was shaking in intense convulsions. He could hear several doctors and nurses speaking around him, but all he could really focus on was the intense pain of each muscle contracting and twitching to its limit. He couldn't se anything either, his eyes had rolled back not long after it. It seemed to go on forever, painful twitch after painful twitch. He couldn't even remember when he blacked out. He woke up a few minutes later, his muscles aching like he'd just done the workout of his life. He didn't dare move a single muscle. Even breathing hurt. But at least that meant that now it was over.

Jimin was just scared once he saw his leader start twitching uncontrollably. He shakily presses the button to call for a nurse, tears spilling out of his eyes. It was the scariest thing he'd ever seen. As they say, it's the kind of thing you always expect to happen to someone else, but never to you. It's not every day you witness someone having a seizure right in front of your eyes. His chest was tight as he sobbed to the side while the nurses and the doctor watched over to make sure he didn't hit anything. The whole time Jimin was screaming in his head "why aren't they doing anything?! Please do something!!" But in reality he knew there was nothing they could do. They just had to wait for it to pass.

A few days later

Namjoon swallowed the last pill he would have to take within the walls of this hospital. At least for now.
"We will let you know the results of the scan as soon as we get them. In the meantime just keep taking the painkillers until you feel you don't need them anymore. Other than that, you're free to go." The doctor said, ending with a bow. Namjoon said a quick thank you before grabbing his stuff, perhaps a little too eager to get out of here. Jimin was right by his side, and took the box of pills and paper work off the doctor, uttering a quick apology before following Namjoon out the door.

It had been a few days since the seizure, and ever since, the air felt incredibly tense, anticipating another seizure. After all, they still didn't know the cause. For all they knew it could happen again at any moment.

A statement had been put out to fans the day after the seizure, informing them of what happened. It was a difficult decision on namjoons part, but he decided the fans deserve to know.
To ARMY
We regret to inform you that any schedule coming in the near future will have to be cancelled or postponed due to an unforeseen event that happened to Namjoon on the night of the 24th.
He had noticed that his hand was shaking earlier that day, and this shaking got progressively worse, so following medical advice, went to hospital. It was there the doctor diagnosed it as a seizure, and recommended that he stay in hospital until the seizure was over, as there was little they could do to stop it.
As an immediate result of the aftermath, he is currently dealing with severe muscle pains, so will not be able to do any performances in the near future. It has also been advised that he stay out of performing until they have found the cause of the seizure, incase it were to happen again.
We appreciate all the support and love from fans, and ask that you keep Namjoon in your thoughts as he recovers. We will update you in the future as to when he will be able to work again and what the cause of the seizure was.
Thank you.

Of course, fans everywhere quickly spread tons of love to Namjoon and the other members as well, and even went so far as to donate to several seizure research charities. It was a very heart warming thing to see.

A few days later (again, sorry lol)

Every time the phone rang, everyone was immediately on edge, eagerly anticipating that one call from the doctor giving the results of namjoons scan. But of course, every time it was just a random scam call or their manager calling for some reason or another. They were about to go crazy from waiting until finally, it came.
"Guys it's the doctor!" Jimin shouted through the dorm with excitement. He immediately heard feet pattering his way and socks sliding.
"Hello?" He answered, a bright smile on his face.
"Hello, is this the residence of Kim Namjoon?"
"Yes!" Jimin responded, a little too excitedly.
"We have the results of his scan now, and the good news is, it's not the result of a tumor or epilepsy or anything of the like." Jimin jumped with happiness. But, that wasn't all.
"The bad news is, we still don't really know what caused it. For now we'll diagnose it as an idiopathic seizure, meaning it had no cause. However if it happens again, then we will have to look further into a cause."
"So you mean, there's no cause?" Jimin asked, confused.
"Yeah, these things can happen sometimes. Often it's just a cause that we couldn't find, because of some anomaly or something. But all that matters is that for now, we can safely say that it shouldn't happen again."
"O-ok, thank you." Jimin said, slightly disheartened, before hanging up.
"So? What was it?" Yoongi asked, suspicious of Jimins melancholic tone.
"Well, they couldn't find a cause. Said it was just an anomaly or something." Jimin revealed to the others. Of course they were glad, because it meant it was less likely to happen again. But the reason they were so disheartened, is because of Namjoon. He was currently upstairs in his room, resting. All of them knew, that if he heard that there was no cause and it was just an anomaly, he would be mad. If he found out that he went through all that for no reason, he would be mad, and rightly so.
They all looked around at each other with a look of "who's going to tell him?" No one offered though. In the end Jimin was volunteered, more like forced, to bare the news.
When Jimin entered Namjoon had a flash of a smile, before he saw Jimins awkward expression. Then his expression went dark.
"So, the doctor called..." Jimin said, closing the door behind him so they could have some privacy.
"And...." Namjoon said with a suspicious expression.
"Good news is it's nothing serious, bad news...." Jimin prepared himself for the worse as his expression darkened. "They couldn't find a cause." Jimin was practically cowering against the door as he waited for namjoons reaction.
"They what." He said angrily.
"D-dont worry though, it could have just been a fault in the records or something that was present before and not after. All that matters is that it's not likely to happen again. Ok? Please don't be angry." Jimin said, hoping to calm the leader down. And he did.

Namjoon flopped back down onto his bed with a sigh, and simply rolled over as he slid under the covers.
"You ok?" Jimin utters softly.
He gets an "uh huh." from Namjoon, and settles for that. He opens the door, saying "call if you need anything." As he shut the door behind him. The other members were eagerly waiting to see what happened. Jimin just nodded with a forced smile and pushed past the others back downstairs.

What a terrible ending that was. But it's getting so long so 😂
I'm proud of this one, cause it's so different. Sorry to anyone awaiting requests, I will start them after this. I will be doing them roughly in order of who requested first, as that's the order I wrote them down in. I got a ton of requests so sorry if it takes a while. Let me know what you thought of this one! I would appreciate feedback since this one was so different.
Other than that, I'll see ya in the next one!
안녕!!👋🏻
