Spring Day

Jungkook was all alone in his house shared with Taehyung, but it was different. It wasn't like the old times where it was so loud, both of them were laughing happily. Music was blasted at it's max volume, and both of them would jam the hell out.

Jungkook was sitting down in front of the green sofa, his back leaning on it. He was turning his lighter on and off, his expression blank. Tears ran to his eyes, but he didn't care. He knew that it would help him, right..?

Holding their Polaroid picture, it seemed like it happened years ago. The date written on the bottom of it read: December 30, 2016. At that time, it was his birthday. That date was stamped on his mind, but he wants to burn it all away.

"I miss you even though I'm looking at your photo. Time's so cruel, I hate us," Jungkook whispered.

It's already winter, the cold winter. Jungkook never really liked the snow when he's alone. When Taehyung's with him, Taehyung would comfort him, give him hot chocolate or giving him hugs.

To Jungkook, Taehyung was only his. To Jungkook, Taehyung was his only love he had. He sometimes wondered out loud, "Why did he leave me?"

Even if he still had his other five friends, he still feels lonely. He never felt this way before, is he becoming an adult?

He already misses him. It has only been a week, isn't it? He wasn't sure about it, but it was on Monday on the last week. The day his love left him.

"Taehyung hyung, are you going to leave me?" He asked to the 21 year old man. Taehyung smiled with tears and hugs him.

He replied, his voice broken, "Yes, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.." His eyes waters, too. Jungkook can't take it. Taehyung has to leave to go to Daegu because of personal reasons, he guessed.

"Jungkook, I'm really sorry.."

"How long do I have to wait and how many sleepless nights do I have to spend, just to see you? Just to meet you?" Jungkook asked, emotion filling in his voice. Taehyung broke the hug and smiled.

"I'll tell you my answer soon, my love." And Taehyung just simply disappeared like that.

Jungkook tried to contact one of the only female friends he has, Lisa, but can't because she's busy with her three other friends.

For Taehyung, he also misses Jungkook dearly. In anything he would do, he would always sing one of his favorite covers of Jungkook: "Paper Hearts."

He feels lonely at the cold, winter. He stayed at his old house, the house he's been living since childhood. But that house was deserted, silent. Dead silent.

. . .Until a knock on the door was heard. "Who is there?" Taehyung asked, and rushed to open the door.

"Hello," the man greeted. "Sorry if I disturbed you." This hyung of his had pink hair like cherry blossoms.

"No, it's fine, hyung," Taehyung replies, and lets his hyung in.

"Hyung-nim, why are you here? I thought you were with Suga hyung," the younger one asked.

The other one replied, "I want to know what happened between you and Jungkook."

Taehyung's expression changed from a smile to a frown when he heard Jungkook. He doesn't like anyone mentioning his relationship with Jungkook. "Why?"

"Because I think that I know the solution to it."

"Jinjja? Really hyung?" Jimin shrugs.

"Not sure. Not sure at all."

Taehyung and Jimin sits down at the chairs. Taehyung sighed, trying to collect the memories...he quietly sighs and he crossed his legs.

"Hyung..I was with Hoseok hyung at the time. We were both walking on the streets and we talked about our secret relationship together. I thought that no one was following me, but there was. It was Jungkook. He was hiding at the bushes, listening to our conversation.  Before we parted ways, both of us hugged each other and swapped 'I love you's. I could tell he was jealous. When I arrived at the house, I saw Jungkook crying. He was yelling at me, asking me why."

"Why you were with Hoseok hyung?" Taehyung nodded. He looked away. He gulped, nervous.

"Then, on Monday last week, I told Jungkook that I was leaving for Daegu. He was crying. I..ended up crying as well," Taehyung stopped and his tears flowed. Jimin went to him and hugs him.

"Don't worry, Taehyung, he'll forgive you," He comforted, but Taehyung continued to cry.

"What if he doesn't want me anymore? What if he would love another person?" Taehyung mutters.

Jimin heard this and broke the hug, smiling.

"Go back to him. Jungkook doesn't want to be alone. He told me that Lisa never answers his texts or calls, and he wants to be alone. He's lonely. You need to go back," Jimin answered.

"But..how?"

Jimin smiled. He ruffles Taehyung's hair, his eyes also smiling. "Come back to him on his birthday. It's spring at the time."

Taehyung widens his eyes and jumps up to hug his hyung again.

"Thank you so much, Jimin hyung! You're the best!" Taehyung exclaimed, and Jimin laughs. Taehyung was really adorable.

"I'm going to leave now, okay? Annyeong~" Jimin said, waving. He then went to the door and leaves.

"Annyeong~" He repeated. Taehyung smiled at himself. His hyung is always right when he has a problem.

He skipped away to his room and laid down at his bed, smiling to himself. He knew Jimin would help.

. . . . . . . .

Two days left. Two days left before his birthday. Jungkook sighed, and he went outside, wearing his white and black striped turtle neck and black jacket. It was still cold outside. It's nearing September, why is it so cold?

Jungkook checked his watch and saw an awkward time. He sighed.

[11:45 pm]

"It's so late," Jungkook thought to himself, not aware of the time since. Nevertheless, he walked to the Seoul Station to take a train to Daegu. He purchased a ticket and got onto the train to  Daegu.

Strangely, the amount of passengers were extremely low, it was only himself.

He thought to himself, "It's no surprise that I'm the only one here, it's late anyways." he placed his stuff at the luggage rack and sat down near the window.

Suddenly, a voice blared from a radio, saying, "Attention passengers, we are now heading to Jung District, Daegu. Please remain on your seats to avoid accidents. Thank you.

Then, a few minutes later, the train started moving. Jungkook removed his black jacket and gazed at the window, his head resting at his hand, staring at the streets. It was still dark outside, the light on the street were still on.

Somehow, his eyes feel heavy. Probably because of the times that he can't sleep. His heart suddenly beats fast.

My heart is running on the time alone on the Snowpiercer, I wanna get to the other side of the earth holding your hand, I wanna put an end to this winter.

Jungkook didn't know why his heart his beating so fast. He tried coming up theories why, but none seem accurate.

It seemed like forever to go to Daegu, and it was.

He gazed again at the window, and passed by a motel called Omelas. There, standing in the alleyway to Omelas, he saw six men, and the one leading them out had brown hair with pink strands. He recognized the face, too.

He smiled at them as the train went away, and the one who walked away from Omelas smiled back.

Jungkook looked at the clock on the train. The time was unsettling.

[2:30 am]

"Time passed by so quickly," he thought to himself, shocked for a little bit. He crossed his legs and stayed there for a while, his body getting cold. His red lips turn purple. It was too cold.

Moments later, he fell asleep, quietly closing his eyes.

. . . . . . .

The man woke up, and saw his surroundings. It was morning, and the train had stopped on his tracks. He looked outside, and there was snow.

He went to the door and got outside the train, and saw a teal carousel. He noticed that the paint was slowly wearing off. Then, a memory spiked in his mind. Two years ago.

It was a long walk there, and he stopped his tracks to open the door for him. Jungkook looked in awe at the beautiful amusement park and saw a teal carousel.

"It's the most wonderful surprise ever, Taehyung!" Jungkook exclaimed with delight. He always liked amusement parks.

"Your welcome, baby," Taehyung said, and kissed his lover's cheek. He held his hand and went to the carousel.

"Why the carousel?"

"Because this is my favorite carousel when I was a child," Taehyung replied. Jungkook giggles.

"What a nice answer, oppa."

Jungkook's eyes tear up at the memory and looked at the letters scrawled across the top of the carousel: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE

He hadn't noticed these letters when he first saw this special carousel. Jungkook also noticed that the carousel is the only ride that was never taken down.

He stood there, looking at awe. How did it manage to survive for years?

Jungkook turns and looked at the empty horizon. It was full of snow, but he didn't mind. He just wants to be alone.

He sat down at the snow. It used to be his favorite season, winter. Every winter, his hyungs and him go outside and play with the snow, playing snowball fights.

He and Taehyung would make cute and adorable snowmen, and boy, how would he laugh when his Tae Tae made a hilarious one!

He smiled for a little bit and waited for the night to come, and all the lights come up. Men and women and children went to this carousel, not seeing Jungkook. He wasn't noticed at all, he didn't mind.

The sight was very beautiful, and he felt cherry blossoms and feathers falling from the skies. He looked up, and smiled.

. . . . . . . .

Taehyung was worried. Jungkook wasn't found. He was missing for the past day. The others were worried as well, and Taehyung was the one who was most worried about the maknae.

There were times were he panicked, and Hoseok came into his room, running.

"Tae, what happened?!" Hoseok shouted. Namjoon heard him and came running as well. Taehyung was screaming and was freaking out badly.

"Taehyung-ssi, what's wrong?! Tell us!" Namjoon yelled at him when he got hold of him. Taehyung was crying.

He was sobbing, and managed to get a few words out. "Hyung..will I get to Kookie a little faster if I was snow in the air..?" After that, Hoseok hugs Taehyung.

"Don't worry, he'll be found soon," Hoseok said. "Plus, he's needing you, Taehyung. He's lonely these days, right? We'll find him soon," Namjoon added.

Taehyung nodded in understanding and he heard one of the boys yell: "WHY THE HELL WON'T TAE CARE FOR THE MAKNAE?! HE'S JUST PANICKING HERE!"

Min Yoongi.

"Shut up! Taehyung gets hurt easily! Look at him, Yoongi-ah. He's crying and wants to see Jungkook. Do you want to be like that when Jimin was in the same situation as Jungkook's, lost, abandoned, or worse..dead?"

Kim Seokjin.

"Hyung.." Taehyung whispered, the three of them walking in the living room. All of the other four members look at him. His face was wet with tears.

Seokjin went to him and comforted him with a hug. "Stop crying, Taehyung. Your hyung is always here with you."

Taehyung smiled and looked at Yoongi with a glare of death. His smile faded, too. Seokjin turned to Yoongi and sat down at his chair. Moments of silence passed and Yoongi stood up to go to his room, but was stopped by Taehyung, who was grabbing his arm.

"One more insult of me or the maknae and you're dead, Min Yoongi," Taehyung whispered, and Yoongi just smirked.

"Empty threats won't kill me, boy," Yoongi replied, and Taehyung immediately punched him in the face, injuring his face badly.

Namjoon and Seokjin broke the fight before Yoongi attacked Taehyung and Seokjin stopped him.

After that, everyone went to sleep, except Taehyung. He went to the wardrobe and changed his clothes to his outfit that he always wears during winter time.

He went outside and went to the same train Jungkook went to go to his hometown and got in the train.

"Passing by the edge of the cold winter, until the days of spring, until the day of the flower blossoms, please stay there a little longer," he whispered to himself.

. . . . . . . . .

In a far distance, Jungkook saw a cherry blossom tree with no leaves. He ran there and sat down at it's trunk.

He was waiting for someone, someone special. He held back his tears but he failed.

He doesn't like to cry when someone makes him sad. Instead, it makes the other one sad, as well.

He then looked at the sky. He was lost, nowhere to be found. He closed his eyes, feeling the cool wind. It was slowly melting, the hard snow isn't fully gone yet.

"Snowflake fall and get away little by little, I miss you, I miss you.." He quietly sang, feeling that he hears the melody of the song.

He then hears quiet footsteps coming from the opposite of the trunk.

"I try the exhale you in pain like white smoke, like white smoke. I'll say I erase you, but I really can't let go of you yet," He heard someone sing, and it's voice was vaguely familiar.

The snow melts little by little, and it was a little warm.

Jungkook widens his eyes, and he muttered, "You know it all, you're my best friend, the morning will come again."

The voice replied, "No darkness, no season can last forever."

Suddenly, a firework blared and exploded, releasing beautiful cherry blossoms. The scenery was beautiful, and the cold weather was gone.

Someone went near him by going at the side of the tree, and held Jungkook's hand. Jungkook looks at the man and saw a face with a smile, his eyes smiling as well.

"Maybe it's the cherry blossoms, and this winter will be over, I miss you. I miss you," The man sang, and Jungkook tears up again.

"Taehyung.." Jungkook whispers. Taehyung smiled and continued, "Wait a little bit, just a few more nights, I'll be there to see you, I'll be there to meet you."

Taehyung went closer to the younger one, their faces close to each other.

"That is my answer, my love," Taehyung said, and he went closer, kissing him gently on the lips. Jungkook kissed back, and Taehyung broke the kiss.

"I wanted to see you on a spring day, Jungkook. That's why I am here." Taehyung then grabs something from his pocket, and it was beautiful. He was holding a ring with a flower design.

"I love you, Jeon Jungkook. I want to be yours, forever," Taehyung said, kissing the man's ring finger and slips the ring in.

"I love you too, Kim Taehyung."
