I can't accept the reality,
that I can't take another step to you.
"Don't ever let me see your face, ever again," you snapped at him and slammed the door, crying as you pulled your body down, sitting with your knees bent.
You just couldn't accept the fact that he was getting married to someone else. And even though it was only an arranged marriage, you couldn't forgive him.
How could the world be so cruel when all you wanted was to love and to be loved?
You crawled over to the coffee table where your phone was, and you couldn't hold back more tears when you unlocked the screen, revealing his last text message.
sweet kookie
: i'm sorry love
You led your shaky hands typing in two last words.
be happy.
Just before you blocked his number.
-
"Bye oppa," you hugged Jin.
"Be back soon, arasseo?", he said and you nodded with a half-hearted smile.
"This might take a while," you sighed.
"Take your time, just tell me if you need me to fetch you when you come back," he ruffled your hair and grinned.
You nodded and hugged him for the second time.
"I don't wanna be late, bye again, oppa!", you turned your heel and walked away but still waving at him.
"I'll miss you!", his voice faded as you turned to a corner.
-
It's been two months since you took a long vacation in Tokyo. You've learned a lot of things, and somehow, got your mind off Jungkook.
But like they say, we never really unlove someone, we just find someone we love more than them.
You loved nobody else at the moment. You were still in the process of moving on. It was definitely not a good idea to find someone to replace him.
And to add up to that, he just can't be replaced.
You received a call from Jin, he was telling you to come back.
"Why though?", you asked with slight attitude.
"Because I'm getting married," he said with happiness in his words.
"Oh my gosh, really?", your face lit up.
"Congratulations, oppa, tell Jisoo unnie too!", you were happy for the both of them. You always knew he was gonna end up with Jisoo.
"When is it?"
"In three days. I already bought you a ticket to come back here," he replied.
"Ah jinjja? Arasseo, I'll pack my things now, bye oppa!", you hung up and started to pack up to come back to Seoul.
The flight was supposedly tonight, so you did it quickly in order to come to the airport sooner.
-
You held your phone in between your shoulder and ear, struggling to keep it from sliding off.
"Yes, yes, I'm here...oppa!", you found him outside the airport with a full glass window.
You both pulled into a tight hug.
"I missed you," he ruffled your hair.
"It's only been two months... but I missed you too!", you grinned.
"Kaja," he led you to his car and drove you to your apartment.
-
Your pastel pink dress matched the theme of the party, as Jin picked. You walked around and met a few guests, some were his friends and some were Jisoo's.
You went inside the groom's changing room and found Jin wearing his shoes.
"What's up? Wanted to see your handsome oppa turn into a prince?", his hair was already styled and it seemed like he was just waiting for the time to come out.
"Did you invite..."
"Jungkook? You're looking for him aren't you?", he gave you a sly smile.
"You know, I never told you that he ran away from his own wedding, right?"
Your jaw dropped, you had nothing to say.
"And when I was on my way back to the car, I saw him running for his life as he desperately looked around, and I'm guessing he was looking for you." Jin looked pretty serious.
"And his parents disowned him." He frowned.
"How could they. Where is he now?", you began to feel a little guilty remembering how you told him that you didn't want to see him ever again. Maybe that's why he couldn't come to Jin's wedding.
"I don't know, but one thing I know for sure," he stopped, "follow your heart." He winked and stood up, exiting the room.
You felt guilty when you realized you couldn't even fight for him when all he did in your relationship was fight for you.
You knew you had to do something.
You exited the venue and walked around the streets, looking ridiculous with your make-up and way-too-pretty hair, matching up with your long pink dress and heels.
You breathed heavily as you thought of one thing where he always went to.
The park above the hill.
You spent more than five minutes trying to hail a taxi until you finally did.
Luckily, you brought money inside your sparkling silver clutch.
"I'm sorry if I can't march down the aisle on your wedding, oppa. I need to do this," you mumbled to yourself.
You felt relieved when a thought entered your mind.
Jin would love to see you happy.
Time passed in a speed of lightning, and the car finally came to a stop.
"Uh, ahjussi, can't you go further?"
"Mianhae, I can't go through that gate."
You nodded and thanked him after paying. The actual park was quiet, you could even consider it as an abandoned one.
It was far from the actual road, and people barely go there. It was where he took you when you were at your worst days.
You sprinted on the slanted landscape, making it harder for you, much more in those heels.
You groaned and took off your heels, running barefoot on the grass until you finally reached the top.
It seriously looked like a scene in a movie, since your outfit barely fitted what you were doing. Running barefoot with a formal outfit? Totally.
You panted heavily as soon as you reached the top and you shot your head up, meeting his eyes.
He quickly looked away and walked away.
"Jungkook!" You chased his steps.
"Please!", you ran faster and you finally caught his wrist. You let go of your pair of heels as they fell down on the grassy ground.
He was still facing away from you.
You hugged his slender waist from behind. It definitely felt slimmer than before.
"Are you here to disown me like you did before? Just like my parents?" His voice was shaking.
"No. I'm here to own you." You pulled away as he slowly turned to you.
"I'm so sorry...", this time, he was the one to initiate a hug.
You rubbed his back as you heard him crying with his head on your shoulder.
"Have you eaten? Where have you been staying?", you attacked him with questions as soon as you pulled away.
He never answered and he just stared at you intensely.
His gaze intensifies and the next thing you knew, he kissed you.
It was a short but passionate one. It showed how much he missed you.
"I'm sorry... love," he looked down at you and pressed your foreheads against each other.
"Do you love me?", you asked with an expressionless face.
He nodded his head, "yes, I love you so much. And I couldn't bare to marry someone who isn't you. I'll never marry anyone unless it's you, even if I have to die alone and single."
You giggled, "let's go see Jin oppa's wedding, we can still get in time if we go now."
You grabbed his hand and pulled him along, forgetting your shoes.
"Wait, Cinderella, you left your shoes," Jungkook said in a joking tone.
You laughed at him as he took your shoes, placing it down next to your pale and bare feet.
"Thank you, my prince," you leaned down and pecked his lips, making him grin ear to ear.
