Prologue:
"Y/N! Kyong! Come on! We're going to be late, Sweetheart," called the sweet voice, a young woman in a stunning yellow sundress appearing from the behind door. "Coming, Eomma! I just have to get Y/N," replied the seven-year-old. Soon, two children came tumbling down the stairs, dashing to the front door., "Eomma, come on! We're gonna miss it!" the little boy cried, holding onto his little sister's hand with all his might. "One second, sweetie", His mother replied, scurrying around the room to collect all their belongings.
" Come on, kids! We're going to be- oh there you two rascals are!" A tall figure appeared, scooping up the giggling children into his arms. "Appa! Lollipop!" the little girl squealed, holding up her chubby little hand to grab his much larger hand, pouting as her doe eyes filled with pure innocence.
"Hey princess, you want a lollipop? Ohhh~ such a cutie, aren't you~" Her father cooed, smothering the little girl in kisses as he placed down the two children, causing a squeal to escape her baby soft lips. "Come on, Kai, we're going to be late for-Oh look at you, sweetheart!" her mother gushed, picking up the baby, resulting in the little girl erupting in a fit of giggles.
"Kyong, don't you look so handsome, my love~" their mother cooed, causing Kyong to smile shyly, looking down at the ground while subtly showing off his cute outfit. "Come on, Mumma! We're gonna be late for the ice cream man!" Kyong whined, grabbing ahold of his mother's hand as he dragged them towards the door. "Okay, Hunny, off to the park!" She smiled, giggling as her son cheered, running off towards the car.
As they sat in the car, making their way to the park, Kyong played with his sister, smiling as her giggles filled the car. "Mumma! I has a qwestun!" Kyong smiled widely, his doe eyes full of curiosity. "Yes, Bubba, what do you want to ask, sweetie?" She asked sweetly, cooing at the cute faces he pulled at his little sister.
"What are swolemates?" He asked, curiosity filling his coffee brown eyes. His mother giggled, smiling lovingly at her two adorable children. "Well, sweetie, soulmates are people who are destined to be together for all of eternity; they are basically meant for each other", she explained simply, smiling once more as her son squealed along with her baby girl.
"But mammy, when do you knows yous fwond them?" her daughter asked, her innocent eyes widening with her smile. This time, their father answered. "Well, the most common way is by either eye contact or physical touch. You usually feel a spark when you meet your other half." he smiled at his wife, reminiscing about the time they first met.
"Wow! I can't wait to find my swolmate!" he cheered, looking over to his sister, who was nodding her head vigorously in agreement. Both parents smiled at one another, happy that their children were excited to meet their other half one day. If only they knew just how amazing and complicated things would turn out to be...
