Mi-Chin (Crazy) -- 2

The next morning, you woke up with a headache thanks to your late night drinking.

You had nobody to blame but yourself. The only good thing about the morning after is that today you didn't have a concert (none of the members wouldn't have drunk if you did), but a long flight to the next tour destination.

You plan to sleep most of the time during the flight... and hopefully avoid any awkward tensions with Jimin.

After packing all your bags, you walked down to the hotel lobby with your manager, following him outside to where the vans were parked to shuttle you to the airport.

Namjoon, Kookie, Hobi, and Jin were climbing into the vans as you approached them. The other managers were also climbing into the three cars. You peeped the first van, seeing NamKook boarding.

"Oh, hey Milo hyung!" Jungkook greets me. His bunny smile gets wider. "You sleep good last night?"

By the tone in his voice, you could tell he was subtly referring to the event with Jimin. You narrowed your eyes at him; if he told anyone, you wouldn't hesitate to strangle him.

"Yes. You? I hope you didn't stay up too late..." You say through clenched teeth.

Jungkook snickers. "My night was unforgettable, hehe."

He disappears in the car as you're left standing outside. Your manager urges you to board a van quickly. Wanting to avoid Jungkook's smirks, you head toward the second van and greet 2Seok.

"Milo-ssi! You gonna ride with us?" Jin greets with an excited voice.

You nod while opening your mouth to respond, but you freeze while feeling a hand grab your shoulder.

"Hey, this is my car. I wanted to ride with J-Hopey..." Suga mumbles while trying to slide past you. You move your body in front of him, glaring at his all-black attire and oversized hoodie that covered his eyes.

"I got here first," you say.

"Milo's right. You shoulda got here earlier, hyung." Hobi chuckles while watching us elbow one another.

Suga sucks his teeth. "Bump that, I'm older so I get to choose which car. Pick one of the other ones."

"Good morning!" -- you hear a high voice sing out from behind you. You hear the manager's greet the voice back. It was Jimin. You couldn't look... you didn't need to.

"Hey Jimin-ssi! Hey Taehyungie!" Hobi calls out.

"Seriously, go in the first car with Namjoon-ah," Suga tells you while taking a step inside the van, but you grab his arm and whisper.

"Nooo, please. Th-They're lame. I wanna be with Hobi and Jin," you plead.

Jin chuckles at your remark. "They're lame? Ooh, that's not nice."

"Then ride with Jimin and Taehyung--"

"NO!"

Their eyes widen at your sudden, very loud answer. You gulp and look at them with pleading eyes. There's NO WAY you could spend an hour-long car ride with the person that you just attacked last night. You still don't know if he accepted your apology, and now that you're more sober, you felt too guilty to face him.

You laugh uncomfortably. "I mean... please, Yoongi hyung. I'll make it up to you." You slip into the van without his resistance, sitting in the front corner seat behind the driver.

"Fine. You better polish all my shoes. A-And clean out my studio..." Suga says while leaving for the first van.

"Love you!!" You yell before chuckling.

--------

"Tigers are fast animals and they have sharp claws! Why wouldn't they win?"

"They would on land. But they can't swim, so a shark would EASILY bite it to death," you reply to Jin's question.

"No, tigers can swim! I saw it on this documentary," Jin confidently says.

"Really?" Hobi asks.

"No way," you say in disbelief. With your body turned, you look at your brothers in the row behind you, resting your right leg on your own seat.

"It's true! Tigers can swim in water, so if they get attacked by a shark they'd win, don't you think? The shark would drown."

You and Hobi stare at each other, eyes knitted together, before he bursts out in laughter.

"Sharks can't drown, they live in water." Hobi says amid chuckles.

Jin facepalms himself. "Ah... I knew that."

"You still must be hungover," Hobi jokes while clutching his stomach in laughter.

"No, no. I- I forgot. Of course sharks can swim in water -- they live there!" Jin yells.

"That's what we just told you," you chuckle.

"But a tiger would still win."

You frown. "I think a shark would win. I mean, the tiger is coming into the shark's habitat. The shark can swim fast and find it's way around the ocean better than the tiger would."

"Ah, that's true," Hobi agrees.

"Plus, shark's have like 5,000 teeth. One bite-- one NIBBLE and the tiger's dead!"

"Nooo tigers are smart! It can hop on the shark's back a-and strangle it. P-Put it in a headlock and.. show it who's boss," Jin declares.

We bust out laughing, including the managers. His imagination is wild. A shark in a headlock? Okay buddy.

"Hyung, you're crazy..." Hobi says between laughs.

"N-No."

"Seems like I was the only sane one after dinner last night. Between your drunk tweets and Milo's shenanigans, I look like a saint," Hobi says.

You glance at Hobi as he says this, the thoughts of last night filling you with the guilt you wanted to leave behind. You clear your throat and lower your eyes as Jin's gaze meets yours.

"Oh? Did Milo-ssi use the bed as a trampoline again? Or was it karaoke this time?" Jin smirks at you.

"No. I went to Taehyungie's room and I found Milo-ssi leaving. I realized they were drunk so I was gonna tuck them in bed, but they wanted to bang on doors and bother Suga and Jimin," Hobi explains.

"Oh... Suga? Did he hit you for waking him up?" Jin chuckles.

"No! And I didn't wake him up, he was already awake," you reply with rolled eyes.

"He just told them to go away."

"When Suga gets drunk it's funny, because at dinner he's usually quiet but if he talks, it's nothing but sarcasm and--"

"Criticizing society hahaha," Hobi interrupts.

Jin laughs. "Yeah! But then all he does when we go back to the dorm is sleep."

"But.. tsk. When Milo is drunk--"

--

"--They're pretty calm most the time, but when they're drunk, they act outta character. Very touchy." Jimin spills to V with a disgusted look on his face.

"True. But usually whatever they do is funny. It's cute," he responds.

Jimin shakes his head. "Not last night..."

V peeps the change in his friend's voice and watches his slumped shoulders. They were sitting in the backseat of their van. Their manager sat near the front watching Netflix with earphones in. They could talk about what they wanted in privacy, and Jimin decided to tell his best friend the disrespectful behavior of Milo.

"What did they do?" V chews on his bottom lip.

Jimin sits silently for a moment, rubbing his hands through his hair while groaning. He knocks his head against the window a few times in frustration. He was so uncomfortable from last night; so embarrassed. After you left, he cried himself to sleep. He couldn't believe someone he trusted, a close friend, would treat him like that. Drinking makes you all act a bit out of character, but you never hurt each other.

Jimin and yourself had some tense moments in the past, but you were past that. Your relationship was getting stronger, and this event was bound to test how strong y'all really were.

"Was it that bad?" V asks, his caring eyes focused on his friend. There were dark circles around Jimin's eyes, a sign he didn't get much sleep.

Jimin rubs a hand down his face and sighs. "It was bad, Taehyungie..."

--

"It wasn't that bad," you lied. "I didn't even bother him."

"Mhm. Who knows what you and Jungkook-ah did to Jimin," Hobi says. His attention was now on his phone.

"Nothinggggg," you stressed. "I just wanted cuddles."

You pout and turn around in your seat, resting your head against the window. Hobi chuckles at your behavior.

--[One hour later]-

Arriving at the airport and checking in was easy. Finding your flight waiting area and shoving two bagels down your throat: even easier. But sharing a seat with the one person you were hoping to avoid for the rest of the week? You wanted death.

Everyone had a seat buddy in first class. Jin and Kookie shared seats, Suga finally got to sit with Hobi, and Namjoon and V shared seats. That left you and him in the same area.

At this realization, you triple-checked your ticket. A8, window seat.

Jimin didn't hesitate to exclaim he got the wrong seat, and looked towards V for affirmation.

"What seat do you have?" V asked from his seat across the aisle.

"A7," Jimin responds. His back was facing you the whole time.  It was clear he was as uncomfortable as you were, but you weren't mad. You deserved it.

"Namjoon hyung, is it okay if you switch with Jimin-ah? We really wanted to sit together..." You hear Tae's cute voice beg. What was he gonna say, no?

Namjoon gets up, grabs his headphones and Koya neck pillow and trades with the younger. His face lights up as he makes eye contact with you. "Well, I'll be spending time with you then. What do you say?"

You nod and get comfy in your seat. "Sounds good to me."

--

Halfway into the flight and you and Namjoon were still talking about random things. First it was the fear of flying (which neither of you had), then which kind of chips were better for you, all the way to the advancement of technology which allowed for a flight of 200 people to literally float above the clouds and safely land in destinations around the world. You two clicked like this, and you were always comfortable to talk about anything without judgement.

As silence fell between you, Namjoon announced he'd attempt to read his new book on artificial intelligence. You agreed to leave him alone and watch a few movies on the screen in front of you. But, not until you asked for a bit of advice.

"Hyung... I have a question."

Namjoon looks over at you, placing his book in his lap. "Sure."

You scratch the side of your face. "What do you do... if you make a mistake that you wanna take back? And it involves a close friend?"

He pokes out his bottom lip, thinking, while scratching his head.

"Well, I guess it depends what kinda mistake it is. Were there words exchanged? A physical fight?"

"No. No fighting, but... it was something physical." Your eyes avert to the ground.

Namjoon hums in thought. "I mean, theoretically speaking, let's say you stole something. You could easily give that back, talk about it with your friend, and hopefully solve the problem. But not everything is that easy."

"I know..."

"And with words, you can't take them back, which is why even when you're mad and very emotional, you gotta hold your tongue. Words are as deadly as poison."

"Yeah..." You gulp.

"You don't have to tell me the details, but... If you made a mistake and you know it's a mistake, and you didn't mean any harm, I would just be honest about it. Tell the friend--"

"I did. But they didn't take my apology... and it's not fair."

"That they didn't take your apology?" He lifts an eyebrow as you nod. "Honestly, they don't have to forgive you. The point of apologizing is really for your own conscience. You have no control over when or if they forgive you; some things take time. And... some things may be unforgivable to that person."

He was right. If Jimin had done the same to you, who knows if you'd forgive him. Of course, having the feelings that you do, you probably wouldn't complain. Maybe that was the root of the issue... if he had feelings for you, would he have been okay with what happened?

"So how do I gain their trust? I don't know what to do." You pout and lay back in your seat, crossing your arms.

"Tell them the truth. And sincerely apologize without expecting them to forgive you. Tell them your intention behind what you did; maybe they'll see it from your point of view," Namjoon declares.

Sighing, you nod your head. You know what you have to do, even if it'll threaten the relationship.

A small grin creeped onto your lips as you looked at your brother. "You're so smart. Thanks, I think I know what I gotta do."

Namjoon chuckles, his dimples showing. "Haha. No problem, I'm here for you. Always."
