"Fuck my life." Hannah groaned as she joined Ian and Fiona in the kitchen for breakfast.

"What's happened now?" Ian asked with a smirk.

"My blazer has a huge hole in it underneath the armpit area." The redhead girl sighed.

"Don't you have a spare?" Ian wondered.

Fiona shook her head, "With the scholarship, the school only pays for one of each clothing item. If we need any extra, we gotta pay for that ourselves," She frowned, before looking back at her sister, "How'd you get a huge hole in it?"

"Well, it looks to be burnt." Hannah sighed, giving her sister a look.

Fiona groaned, "Carl."

"Yeah."

"We can't afford a new one." Fiona told her glumly.

"I'll sort something out, don't worry." Hannah assured her eldest sibling as she got herself some cereal, Fiona nodding and kissing Hannah's forehead before going back to calculating the money from the squirrel fund as Lip came down the stairs.

The two girls watched as their brothers acted as though neither one of them existed, an annoyed look present on Ian's face.

Fiona let out a huff, "You guys still not talking?"

Though, before she could lecture the two of them, Carl flew down the laundry shoot, landing on the dirty pile of clothes, making his siblings all jump in fright.

"Dude!" Lip cried, almost having spilt coffee everywhere at the shock.

"Holy shit balls!" Hannah exclaimed, her Cheerios having flown all over the counter as she jumped.

Fiona raised her hands in the air, "Carl!"

Ian only raised an eyebrow, "What the fuck?"

"Why have I never done that before?" Carl grinned, standing up, though he wobbled as he did.

"You have too much time on your hands. Summer school next year," Fiona rolled her eyes, checking his head, "How's your head?"

Carl smiled, "Little dizzy."

Fiona rolled her eyes, "You're fine. Go have some breakfast."

"How much in the winter squirrel fund?" Lip wondered as Hannah poured Carl a bowl of cereal.

"Just over nine grand." Fiona said with a frown.

Hannah raised an eyebrow, placing the Cheerios in front of Carl, "Only nine?"

"That's all to get us through winter?" Ian asked.

"Frank screwed us when he gave Liam away," Fiona sighed, "There was the compressor for the fridge."

"The stuff for Liam's infection. Mwah." Lip added, kissing their youngest brother on the forehead.

"And now I need a new blazer

"Everyone needs to get winter jobs," Fiona told them, before calling up the stairs, "Debs, get down here. Breakfast."

"I'll be right there!" The youngest sister called back.

"Hey," Fiona patted Hannah's back as the redhead finished clearing up her spilt cereal, the brunette giving her a roll of money, "Is this gonna help at all for all the stuff you need?"

Hannah took the cash, checking how much it was, "Well, Grammy bought me the textbooks I need for this year and I can use my supplies from freshman year."

"So is that gonna get you a new blazer?"

"It will get me the sleeve of one," Hannah shrugged, making Fiona frown, "Hey, I told you, I'll figure something out."

Fiona nodded, before giving the three boys at the dining table the same amount of money each, "School supplies and clothing. Nothing else. No candy, drugs, beer or concert tickets. I want receipts."

The door to the bathroom opened and Jasmine sauntered out of it, making Hannah roll her eyes and groan, "What if the drugs are really good?"

Fiona raised an eyebrow, "Still here?"

Jasmine held up a magazine as Debbie came downstairs, "I got caught up reading a magazine."

"Hey," Debbie said, snatching it off of her, "That's mine."

Fiona handed Debbie her school supply money, saying, "Debs, I need you to find the backpacks and any old school books. Carl, put the supplies in the basement."

Debbie nodded, "Okay."

So did Carl, "Roger that."

"Hannah, you figure out how to get a new blazer." Fiona ordered.

The girl nodded, downing her coffee, "On it."

"Lip, you and Ian clean the pool. There's a few surprises in there."

"Carl, tell Lip to do it himself." Ian said.

Carl turned to Lip, "Lip, Ian says you can do it yourself."

"Tell Ian he's being a douche bag for not talking to me."

"You're being a douche--"

"Okay," Fiona cut them off, "Whatever you guys are doing, I want it over before school starts," She told the two older brothers, "So figure it out."

Jasmine came up behind Fiona, "Mommy, what's my assignment?"

"Drink bleach," Hannah muttered, Debbie elbowing her, "What?"

"Ah, go home to your family?" Fiona suggested.

"Actually," Jasmine smiled, going to the back door, "I need to go get the boat ready. Belmont Harbor. Slip 22. Two o'clock."

"I said I'll think about it." Fiona sighed as Jasmine left with a smile. -Uh-huh.

Lip then stood up, looking up the stairs, hearing Frank talk to Peggy, "It's a rooster in the henhouse. Hide the money." He rushed his siblings, the family scrambling to hide whatever money they had and to get out of the house.

"Morning, Grammy."

"Morning, Grammy."

"Love ya, Grams." Hannah called, quickly exiting the back door.

Lip and Hannah were walking down their street, the brunette sighing, "Okay, I know you have something to say about all of this, so just say it."

Hannah shrugged slightly, "I dunno, Lip. I mean, the baby might not even be yours. Karen slept with a lot of guys at the same time the two of you were fooling around."

Lip held his hand out as they stood in front of their house, giving her a hard look, "It's mine."

Hannah studied his face, before nodding with a sigh, "Okay, so what? Karen divorces Jody, you two get back together and you drop out of school, get a job."

Lip nodded, "Yes."

"And what happens if the baby's born and it's obviously not yours?" Hannah asked.

Lip didn't answer, he only looked down and played with his fingers.

"Look, Lip, whatever you do, I'll be in your corner," Hannah assured her brother as they walked up the steps to the house, "But we both know I could be right. And if I am, I'll beat that pregnant bitch up for ruining you."

Lip only cocked a smile as they entered the house, seeing Debbie lining up her new clothes on the sofa and Ian doing sit ups on the floor next to her.

"Oh good, you're here," Debbie said, stopping them from walking away, "I'm trying to make a good impression for my last year of elementary."

Lip and Hannah looked at the clothes in front of them, "Red top, blue shorts." They both nodded.

"That's what I thought. Thanks," Debbie smiled, noticing the shopping bag in Hannah's hand, "What did you get?"

Hannah shrugged, "Need some non-ripped tights for school. Ghetto isn't exactly Ackrington's thing."

Lip then cleared his throat, leaning on the back of the couch, "Karen and I are getting back together. She ditched Jody. Now I can step up. Be a father to our kid."

"Why, what's wrong with Jody?" Debbie asked.

"He's a tool."

"He is?"

Lip nodded, "Mm-hm."

"I mean, he's not exactly smart." Hannah shrugged.

"How will I know if I'm dating a tool?" Debbie wondered.

"You'll figure it out," Lip shrugged, "Or we'll beat the shit out of him for you."

"Damn right." Hannah nodded.

"Okay. Cool." Debbie shrugged, picking up her clothes and running up to her and Hannah's room with them.

Hannah glanced between her two brothers, hyperaware of the tension between them, "Yeah, I'm not getting involved." She held her hands up, following her sister up the stairs.

The next morning, Hannah sat counting up the cash she had managed to get in the past couple of days from tips at the diner and from pawning some of the things that she had stole. The girl only sighed, deflated, "Well, at least that's two sleeves." She muttered to herself.

Suddenly, there was the loud sound of an explosion and the whole house rumbled.

"Holy fuck." Hannah cried as Debbie rushed downstairs, peering out of the front windows.

"What was it?" Fiona asked, running down the stairs into the living room.

"Nothing out there." Debbie shrugged.

"Fiona! Fiona!" Carl's voice cried.

The sisters all looked at each other.

"Basement." Hannah said, the three of them rushing to get there.

"Holy fuck!" Hannah exclaimed as they went down the stairs to the basement, only for it to be on fire, "Is that meth?!" She asked as Fiona put the fire out with baking soda.

"Where's your grandmother?" Fiona asked her ash covered brother.

"Buying more supplies." Carl said.

"I'm gonna kill her." Fiona growled through gritted teeth, handing Hannah the box of baking soda to finish putting out the fire.

"Oh, shit," Hannah muttered, quickly smothering the flames with an old blanket from the floor, before looking at her brother, hands on her hips and out of breath, "You're a fucking idiot."

Carl smiled, "I know."

Hannah raised an eyebrow as Peggy entered the house through the back door, shopping bags in her hands, "If that's for your meth lab, throw it out."

Peggy looked at her granddaughter with a sigh, "Carl blow it up?"

Hannah shrugged, "Carl blows everything up. He's the Seamus Finnigan of the South Side."

"I don't know what that means," Peggy shook her head, her eyes landing on the money that Hannah had spread across the counter, "What's this for?"

"Need a new blazer for school," Hannah sighed, "So far I have two sleeves worth."

"You don't have a spare?"

The redhead shook her head, "School only pays for one of each clothing item."

"Where do you get it all from?"

"They have a store next to the campus."

Peggy shrugged, "Then let's go."

"Grammy, you really don't have to." Hannah sighed as she pushed Peggy through Ackrington's store.

"I know I don't," Peggy said, "I want to. Now shut up and pick yourself some clothes that will make you look like a Republican."

Hannah chuckled, immediately going over to the blazer section.

"You got everything you need?" Peggy asked as Hannah pushed her out of the store.

Hannah nodded, kissing her grandmother's head, "Got more than enough, Grammy."

"Hannah?" A voice called out, the girl turning to see Adam, Elodie, Mark and Sally walking over to them.

"Hi." Hannah smiled, hugging them each in turn.

"Ah, the rich family." Peggy nodded.

"Grammy," Hannah muttered in warning, "You guys getting your uniform for the year?"

"Yeah," Adam nodded, eyeing Hannah's bags, "You manage to get a new blazer?"

"Managed to get a lot more than that, thanks to Grammy," Hannah nodded, turning to look at her grandmother, her eyes widening at the sight of the woman having half fallen out of her wheelchair, unconscious, "Grammy?!" Hannah rushed to her side, Mark following, "Grammy!"

"I'll call 911." Sally said, bringing out her mobile phone.

"Oh my God," Hannah muttered, standing up and putting a hand over her mouth, Elodie bringing the girl into a hug as Mark put Peggy into the recovery position, "Grammy."

Hannah sat on her and Debbie's bed, head in her hands, thankful that Fiona had arrived home so that she could be alone for a bit. A light knock on the door made her look up.

"Hey." Elodie whispered.

"Hey." Hannah muttered, leaning her head back against the wall.

"Adam and my parents are with Fiona and Frank, talking to the paramedics." The brunette informed her best friend as she sat in the empty space next to her.

"Okay." Hannah hummed.

"How're you feeling?" Elodie asked, taking Hannah's hand in her own.

"Numb," Hanna answered, "Which is weird, cause I hardly know the woman."

"Well, the time you've known her has been good, hasn't it?"

"Yeah."

"So that's probably why." Elodie shrugged.

"Probably." Hannah nodded.

"You want me to stay with you for a bit?"

"Yes please."

"Okay." Elodie smiled slightly, resting her head on Hannah's shoulder.

The pair sat in silence for a while, staring at the wall across from them.

"I've been sleeping with Mandy."

"What the fuck?!"

"Yeah, there's kinda a lot I need to tell you."

"Kinda?!"

"I thought you didn't know how to do this kind of stuff." Debbie said as Hannah finished off her hair.

"Well, you said you wanted to look nice for school. So, I asked Ellie to teach me," Hannah shrugged, putting the last clip in, "There. You look pretty."

"Thanks." Debbie grinned, hugging Hannah before picking up her backpack and leaving the room.

Hannah smiled, sliding on her new shoes and grabbing her own school bag before following Debbie's lead.

"Ooh, looking posh." Fiona said as the redhead passed her.

"Thank you, peasant." Hannah smirked as she rushed pat her sister.

"Have a good day, Han." Ian said as the girl grabbed an apple.

"You too, get some ice on that shiner." Hannah told the boy before leaving through the back door.

"Well, look where we are again." Adam smiled as Hannah greeted them.

"Some things never change." Hannah smiled as she and twins started walking to school.

"Those new shoes?" Elodie asked.

"Yep."

"They make you my height."

"That's the point, shortie."

"I'm literally taller than you."

"Not for the next eight hours."

"Oh, fuck you."

"You wish you could."

Adam let out a groan, "This is gonna be a long walk."
