Chapter 5
When we left, I was excited to meet other dragons. When we got there, I got permission to go look at some dragons. I liked the wild ones. I asked a Catry where she had come from. She had come from my mom's island. I thought that I had recognized her. I asked how my mom was doing. She said that Mom was doing well, but missed me. I told her that I would be back tonight to free them all, and I asked her to spread the word along. She agreed to do so. I went and found the others, where they were buying a Cometiree. Chief Fentin said that we would pick it up tomorrow.
I told the dragon that I was going to free them tonight and to pass the word along. Each trader had a small arena and they weren't locked with a key, just a lot of bars and things like that. I told as many dragons as I could what I was going to do and to spread the news, and by the time they were done buying dragons, the dragons I talked to said they already knew. That night, I snuck off the boat and called Dramin. He agreed to help me lift the bars. I managed to free all of the dragons and get back to the ship without being found. Everyone was very mad and blamed it on Chief Fentin. He just yelled back at them.
"Do you really think that I would pay so much for dragons if I was going to free them. No, I wouldn't. Also, if you look at the bars on the cages, you will see that they have dragon marks on them. We can't control dragons. No one can." Then he stormed away. We went to another dragon market, and the same thing happened. I was very happy to have freed all of the dragons, and I sent Dramin off to find other markets and do the same thing. Every dragon market that Chief Fentin went to was empty. Finally we returned home without any dragons.
Everyone was disappointed, except me. Orchid came up to me and took me into the forest. "That was you wasn't it. Freeing those dragons. All of them at the markets too." "Actually, Dramin did that. I just got it all planned. I also asked him to do it to all of the dragon markets that he knew about. I am very satisfied." She looked mad. "You can't just do that. You can't stay here. You need to leave." I had an idea.
"Can I make an over dramatic exit?" I grinned. "Fine." She scowled. "Good. I would have done it no matter what you said."
