Jami had to go to Luke's house for the project. A science project. So they had to make a poster about a local food chain. Her least favorite subject.

She walked to Luke's house and smoked a cigar.

She arrived and rung the doorbell. He answered and let her in. "Hi," held out his hand for her to shake.

She took it and shook it. "Hi, where are we going to work?"

He motioned for her to follow him and she did. Up to his room. "Hey, uh, aren't you dating Claud?" He asked her nicely.

She looked down and muttered a silent "Yeah.. Why?"

He rubbed his neck. "Oh, uh. No reason." He looked embarrassed.

"Do you want to get startled?" She asked impatiently.

"Oh, yes. Probably," he went to get some materials.

He returned with some markers and they got to work.

After they finished she walked downstairs and he followed. "Hey, thanks for coming over!"

"Of course, not like I had a cho-" he cut her off mid sentence by hugging her.

Jami blushed but she still hugged him back. A tear rolled down her face and he stopped hugging and looked at her. "Are you ok?" He asked sounding concerned.

She shook her head and told him everything. "I-I never knew he was that bad. I am so sorry. I would at least care for you."

That was all she needed. She leaned in closer and kissed him on the lips.
