Hikaru was made between two drunken people, but he was lucky enough to not be aborted by his mother. When his father found out about him, after he was born, he killed his mother and took him for himself.

As an infant, he wasn't raised by his father, but by whoever was around and whoever his father could get to watch him. He often stayed in his crib for hours on end.

He stayed in the crib until he learned how to crawl out of it, which took a little while since he was born completely blind.

He developed a Hallucination Quirk at the age of four, and he also had his father's quirk, All For One, which was taken from him so he couldn't become more powerful than his father.

He spent from four and up training to become the perfect soldier for his father. He wanted to make him proud, so he always did his best and endured all of his father's abusing ways. He endured any beatings he received, he endured the punches and the kicks. He can handle those. What he found difficult to handle was the fact that his father favored Tomura, his older adoptive brother, to him. And Ayano Sunobu, a brainwashed soldier. (Ayano belongs to SpamChan.)

Hikaru was never the strongest growing up, no matter how hard he tried. But he would probably do better if given positive reinforcement. He always blamed himself, though, since Ayano was strong with no quirk and didn't have positive reinforcement.

Despite the fact he tried so hard, however, he could never seem to please his father. Since he wasn't used for missions much, and since he would get easily bored and depressed, he got into drugs. He got addicted to one called tosui, a drug once experimentally used as a healing drug— which worked, but the only thing was the mental effects could be pretty bad. He liked it, though, since it made him feel good and euphoric.

Eventually, All For One decided that his biological son was a waste of space, so he ordered he be ended and disposed of. So Hikaru was killed and dumped off in the forest. However, it turned out that he wasn't dead, so he managed to get to a roadside before he passed out from his wounds and the blood loss.

He was found and rushed to a hospital, and his life was saved by the doctor, Daniel (who also belongs to SpamChan).

It takes time, but he eventually changes for the better after a bunch of struggles, including mood struggles, depression struggles, cutting struggles, drug struggles, and just the struggles of dealing with his past and every day life.
