Chapter 20

"DEFINITELY SOME KIND of animal."

"What animal?" I ask looking up at him and tipping my blue plastic cup back to send some of its stinging contents into my mouth.

"Um," Ian bit down on his lip, trailing the boy as he gyrated away. "A wolf or dog."

"Almost. That's a werewolf." I say having noticed the supposed growing chin hair, teeth, wrinkled forehead, etcetera. "He got a teen wolf mask on. Creative."

"On what planet?" Ian ask shaking his head.

I roll my eyes, "Says the guy with a leather jacket and jeans."

"Touche."

I'll give the town a nine over ten for this party. It's close to perfect. They're decorated pumpkins and pumpkin lights everywhere. Cobwebs with spiders dropping down from it. Clown statues and smoke fumes everywhere. Even the lightening is dim but bright enough for everyone to see who is who.

Bright enough for me to ogle Ian and ogle him I did. He looks just as handsome as always but I can help but notice the light stubble on his face. He obviously forgot to shave or couldn't. Which leaves me to wonder where the hell he went off to. But I've never seen a stubble look so hot on anyone before so... I'm not complaining.

I laugh and point at a girl coming our way. "What about her?"

"An orangutan."

I spit my drink back out as I laugh, then I gulp and wait for the girl to pass by before I turn to Ian with amused wide eyes. "Orangutan? That's a bunny."

"Says you."

"How is that an orangutan?"

"That's what I saw. Period."

I laugh, "You're crazy." Then my eyes zone in on his coke bottle. "Why can't you take alcohol again?"

He shrugs, "I don't drink."

"Why not?"

"Because, unfortunately, I can't hold alcohol."

I scrunch my face up at him. "Like an allergy?"

"No. Like I'm really lightweight and a sip of that would probably turn me into a cry baby. Not pretty." He says glaring at my cup.

I burst out laughing, "Why do I find it hard to believe that you're lightweight?"

"I don't know." He finishes up his coke. "You're the one who looks lightweight."

"Yea and I can finish a whole keg of this without going off the edge. Runs in my family."

"Gee, lucky you." He says and I laugh. "Come on, let's dance."

I almost spit out my drink again. "Dance? No way."

Ian smirks, "Scared?"

"Yea, for your eyes." I look around the dance floor. "And everybody that's gonna watch me."

"Come on. You can't be that bad."

"I am." I insist. "I'm so bad. Once I was dared to dance in middle school, someone took a video of it and it went viral. I was called penguin Anna for a month."

Ian burst out a laugh, I glared at him and he stopped, placing a fist to his mouth. "It's not that bad. I mean, of all creatures you got a penguin. Those things are adorable. Whoever named you that must have been a crush."

"Hmm." I say thoughtful. "I never saw it that way."

Ian smiles putting his hand forward, "Dance with me."

I giggle at the request, finish up my drink in one gulp, then curtsey and place my hand on his. "I'm all yours."

He smirks, letting go of my hand and in a blink of an eye, I was bent over his shoulder, his hand over my thighs, steadying me.

"Ian!" I shriek out but that does nothing to stop him. He finally puts me down once we're in the middle of the dance floor. "I was willingly going to come with you."

"Where's the fun in that?" He asks smiling, his beautiful eyes glowing and drowning me in.

"Yeah, that was pretty fun." I leaned up closer to his ear, "Do that more often."

**

"Well, if it isn't my favourite Ian." Aiden says bumping into us.

I squint my eyes at him, wondering what he's dressed as. I pretty high right know and its not just because I've consumed an uncountable amount of cheap plastic cup beer but because of the fun I've been having tonight. The dance was exhilarating and Ian scent is a drug on its own. Right now, we're taking a break and sitting on the stairs. Ian's sitting behind me and I'm sitting below, in between his legs with his hands over me and my back pressed on him. It's really relaxing until Aiden Macer showed up.

He's dressed in slacks and a pirate hoodie with an eye patch over his eye. Old me would have found that eye patch really sexy but new me have seen real sexy - Ian, without even trying - and he doesn't come close.

"How many Ians do you know?" I ask tossing my head back. I could barely see Ian's face and he does not look pleased seeing Aiden.

Aiden smirks at me - nah not even close, he could use a little more practice, "a handful."

"What do you want?" Ian asks, his voice deep and low.

Aiden raises his hands up, "Nothing. I was just passing by and I saw you keeping Anna here, boring her to death."

"He's not boring me." I state. But Aiden ignores and continues being the meat head he is.

"So I volunteered to come rescue you both." He says and smiles like he's some kind of hero. "Come join us at our spot, where the real party is going on."

"We'll pass." I say not thinking about it even. I know they're having fun but I am too. I don't want to get off this position and with Macer comes trouble. I'll rather avoid trouble than walk right into one.

"Oh come on Anna, don't be a party pooper." He turns to Ian, "or is it you who's a pussy and afraid of what? Me?"

Ian's scoff and looks away. Aiden scoffs too.

"So, you're just gonna ignore me?"

"Yes." He bluntly answers and I almost laugh.

Aiden glares. "Anna's better off without you."

"Aiden..." I warn.

Ian gets up, threatening moving towards Aiden. "Say that again and see if you don't go flying off this stairs."

Aiden backs up surrendering. "Fine. Just come hang out with us Anna, like before and we could do with some new blood."

Right. Ian and I share a look and despite everything screaming at me to not follow or listen to Aiden, we soon find ourselves in the midst of his friends - The Populars.

-

"Look who we have here." Aiden announces as we arrive his group.

They all look up and some look surprised, pleased and pissed. Finn winks at me and continues arranging the cups he was busy with before we walked in.

"Anna Richards?" Evelyn Munroe shrieks. "What the hell is she doing here?"

"Trust me, I'll rather not be here either." I say rolling my eyes at her.

"Be cool Evelyn. I invited them over." Aiden tells her looking like he's about to blow over. I guess I'm not the only one irritated by the blond witch.

"And why would you do that?" She hissed at him, pushing her body into his.

"Because Anna's a friend." He replys and turns to Ian with an over exaggerated smile. "And I'd love to get to know Ian."

"He threw Matt under the bus. Shouldn't we be like, hating him?" Evelyn Patrick says eying Ian like he's candy.

"To err is human. To forgive is divine." Aiden says and I raise my brows at him. He winks and I roll my eyes. I wonder what he stands to gain with all these.

"There's nothing to forgive. Now why am I here?" Ian asks impatiently.

Aiden clears his throat. "We're playing beer pong."

"Uhuh, can you not insult me?" Finn asks raising a ping pong ball up with his hand. "We're not playing beer pong." He smirks. "We're playing Extreme Beer Pong."

Lionel cheers and I can't help but laugh with the group.

"So, Finn," Evelyn Patrick says placing her long manicured nails on his body and trailing down. "What's extreme beer pong?"

Finn not so subtly moves away from her. "Thanks for asking, Evelyn." He rolls his eyes when Munroe and the third one look up at the mention of their name. "Extreme Beer Pong is just a harder, much craftier version of ordinary beer pong. Two teams as usual with team leaders. Let's call it team A and B. If team A gets a ball in, the opposing team has to do... wait for it... a body shot on a person of the team A's choosing. If team A scores using a bounce method, the team A that scores gets to strip or dare the loser- loser can be chosen by his or her team. After the whole game is finished, the loser team leader has to strip... butt ass naked."

By the time Finn is finished. My eye is twitching from a little excitement and more from the absurdness of it all. I look over at Finn and he winks at me and shrugs. I couldn't help but ask, wondering if I'm the only sane person here. "And y'all agreed to this?"

Before anyone could answer me, Munroe burst out laughing and the other Evelyns joined her, even though I'm sure they had no idea why they were laughing. "Ah Anna, always boring never daring. We all know you're boring, so it's a hundred percent alright if you and your equally lame boyfriend leave. We were fine without your presence."

"Anna isn't boring," Aiden spoke up, making his girlfriend glare at him but he was too busy looking at me to notice. "We did way crazier things when we were together, right Anna?"

My toes hurt and I frowned at Aiden not appreciating his nonsense reminisce. I grabbed entwined Ian's fingers with mine, "let's go. This is crazy."

"Boo!" The Evelyn's sang and I felt like slapping their extensions off and also shaming them by going through with the game and winning. I'd love to see her boo then.

"You don't want to go Roxanna," Ian states matter of fact, smirking at me.

"I did," I confess and his smirk widened. Blushing, I hit his arm. "But it involves drinking and you don't want to drink."

"You want to play, let's play."

"Ian..."

"We're in."

"Yes!" Finn said pumping his fist up and Aiden just smirked in whatever was oozing out of him. I shook my head at Finn and picked a ball.

"I get to be team leader." I say, my eyes fixed on Munroe silently daring and challenging her.

She quickly rushed and picked another ball, blindly taking up my challenge and falling into my trap that'll hopefully set. "And I too." I smile and she smiles back.

"Great, so let's try to keep the negative energy to a minimum, okay?" Finn says eying Evelyn and I.

We were shared into two teams and the game started just as Finn said it would. No matter how much I tried to avoid Ian drinking anything, I couldn't be stopped. Both for his ego and the fact that we were playing beer pong. A fight almost broke out though when Aiden in Monroe's team scored and he chose to strip me of a clothing. I had already lost my shoes and jewelries earlier and I had just my gown on. Which was way better than the other Evelyn's that were down to their bra and panties. Munroe still had her shorts on and I don't think she minded flashing the guys with her lacy black bra.

Patrick giggled out of nowhere, "and the bride gets naked." More giggle. "We could call this the wedding night."

"Shut up Evelyn," Munroe shouted at her friend and namesake. "It's not funny."

Despite the really not funny situation, I couldn't help but chuckle. Aiden looked so smug as he went around to unzip me and returned to face me and strip me. I looked at Ian and he looked murderous. I tried to smile and mouth 'this really was a bad idea. ' and he in turn mouthed, 'no kidding'. Then proceeded to down two shots of tequila. I raised my brow at him and he shrugged just before his hand latched over Aiden's in a death grip. Aiden was about to pull the gown down my waist.

"That should be enough." Ian said, his voice a little slurry but deep and gruff enough.

"I'm to take it all off." Aiden said glaring, "other's did. Don't be a dick now cause it's Anna."

Ian took a step closer and I was getting ready to step in. "Other didn't have dresses on."

"So what?"

"So, it should be taken off as theirs were. Step by step, leave that for a next time, if you get one that is."

"Yea," Finn stepped in. "Ian does have a point. Let the game resume then."

I tried to hold in my smile but I think I failed completely. I couldn't help smiling all through the rest of the game, I felt loved and important. Aiden didn't get another chance to strip me and as I thought would happen, my team won. Which means Evelyn Munroe had to strip butt ass naked. She looked mortified and teary but before she could take her bra off, I stopped it. Finn was going to anyway, stripping butt ass naked wasn't really part of the plan just a mean prank. But Evelyn doesn't need to know that, I should be her saviour this time.

I decided she be thrown into the pool instead and that turned out fun too. When fully dressed I went out to meet Ian where he was sitting on the porch, he was too drunk to follow us throw Munroe into the pool.

"Hi."

"I feel so sick, I want to crawl into a hole and..." Ian grumbled, folding his leg up and leaning down towards me, resting his head on my shoulder.

I burst out laughing, "and what? Die?"

He shook his head, "no I don't want to die. Already came this far."

I looked over at him, his eyes closed and looking so cute. I brushed his hair away from his face, I'm sure he was talking about something else but I didn't want to know what. He was beat down drunk. "We should go home right?" He nodded and I stood up helping him up. He stumbled a bit but finally stood firm, hands on my shoulder. He looked me over and smiled a small smile.

"You look so beautiful," he mumbled and I blushed. He then started removing his jacket and I had to hold him so he doesn't stumble to the ground. After successfully removing his jacket, he placed it on me. "Wear that, it's cold."

"I'm not cold."

He frowned, then grumbled like a kid. "Just wear it please."

"Okay, Sir Ian." I teased him, putting on his jacket.

"I don't like Aiden, I think I hate him. He likes you though and that's upsetting."

"Really?" I asked, enjoying the moment.

He nodded, but before he could say anything else, he had to rush over the bush and throw up. When I came to help, he shooed me away. "No, don't help me."

I did anyway and on the way to my car, he kept murmuring that he wasn't usually like this. He was normally well behaved and didn't drink. I couldn't stop laughing.

"Please shut up Ian."
