I love to do all sorts of things - just for fun! For instance, I love solving math problems in my head or on paper - in my free time. This section will focus on a few of my main hobbies.

Writing - First and foremost, I am a writer. This may surprise some of you because I don't often write or share things, but I think of myself in this way. I actually have a notebook that is currently about half full, filled with two or three pages of story ideas. If I like the story, I'll continue it in a separate notebook or a Google Doc. If not, I flip the page. I also write poems, some of which I hope to share right here on Wattpad!

Reading - After writing comes reading. I am an avid reader and spend anywhere from 2 to 10 hours a week reading, depending on my schedule. Starting in January, I set a yearly goal to read 100 books per year. Check me out on Goodreads to see how I'm doing! My Goodreads username is <eruthiawent>.

Singing/Music - Music is one of those things I could not live without. At any given time of the day I might burst into song while working or relaxing. I don't consider myself a talented singer but music gives me joy, so I sing. I also play musical instruments, namely piano and organ.

Tolkien - This truly belongs in a category of its own, and anyone who is also remotely obsessed with LOTR will agree with me. I dive headfirst into everything to do with Tolkien, from roleplaying, to costume creation and design, to reading and writing fanfiction, to language learning, and even music (well, duh).

Embroidery - If you think I'm old-fashioned, think again. Embroidery is such a peaceful way to spend an afternoon! Granted, it takes a long time to complete projects, but the detail is so intricate, the finished product so complex, the result so satisfying that it makes up for everything.
