"So did you fuck?" Micah asked nonchalantly. I choked on the bite of eggs I was chewing and glared at him as the others approached the table.
"No." I gave him a warning stare down.
"Then why is he staring at you from the breakfast counter like you are a double chocolate chip muffin?" He asked. I blushed and did a shoulder check to see. Yes, my boyfriend was staring at me with a delicious look on his face. I grinned.
"Because we are going together for spring break. He's going to talk to his parents about it today." I mumbled as I finished my bacon. Micah clapped his hands together and made a 'so proud of you' face.
"What? Aren't we all going to go camping together?" Alec asked with a surprised face. The others at the table gave him a look of disgust.
"Ew. No. I don't do mosquitos." Micah said, channelling my over the top gay voice to the maximum and flipping his hand. I laughed and slow clapped my hands in pride.
"Oh that was perfect. Good job Micah." I winked at him.
"I've been practising. It makes Reggie run away in horror when he hears it, so it might come in handy later." He said in his normal voice. I nodded.
"Yeah I can see that. Hey babe." I turned to give Vince a peck on the cheek. "I gotta stop at the office for a permission form before class."
"Sure, drop it by mine later." He said before taking a huge bite of eggs. I got up from the table and put my tray away before heading out the door. It was a bit weird feeling to go in the opposite direction of my classroom.
The secretary smiled at me when I walked in and I didn't beat around the bush asking her for the form to fill out. She went into the filing cabinet and brought out a sheet. As I was checking that it was the correct form, the General came out of his office.
"Mr. Kensington. Do you have a moment? I will excuse you from class." He said to me, after a second of surprise. I nodded and followed him into his office.
"Of course. What is this about?" I was a little confused. I hoped I wasn't in trouble. He motioned for me to take a seat.
"I wanted to speak with you about your future, actually." He leveled with me. I nodded and waited for him to continue. "I understand that you haven't been with us since your freshman year, however I was wondering where you see yourself when you graduate from our institution."
I hesitated. I wasn't really sure what he was asking me. I hadn't even really thought about my senior year, let alone what I would be doing after I graduated. It was still over a year away, and with my home situation still so unstable, I wasn't sure if I would be able to attend university.
"Honestly General, I haven't thought that far ahead." I admitted.
"You may have realised that this is a military preparatory school which then funnels its brightest and best students to our sister university. Usually such an offer comes with the request for the student to enrol in the military." The General continued. I smiled and nodded.
"Yes, I am aware. Vincent Wright just received such an offer." I told him during the pause. He smiled at that and looked down at his desk for a moment.
"You two are close, I believe." He mentioned. I might have blushed a little, but I nodded again.
"Yes, we are dating." I didn't want to keep it from him. He probably knew anyways.
"Keeping in mind that you should not make a decision for your future based on your relationship, do you think you would be interested in pursuing a place in our sister university?" He was watching me closely. I was rather taken aback.
I had never thought about the military as a career. In fact, even being here was considered a punishment in the back of my mind still. I had realised that it was feeling less and less of one the longer I stayed there. But a career in the military? Going to university? I hesitated.
"I don't know. I never thought about it." I finally said. He smiled and pushed a rather thick book towards me.
"Think about it. Read through the possible programs and seriously consider if one of them seems right for you. Normally our students have counselling in their Sophomore year to discuss their classes for Junior and Senior years to prepare them for graduating. You have not had that benefit, but I believe with your marks, it is still open for discussion." He motioned to the book and I grabbed it off the desk.
"Sure. I will have a look." I replied. He shooed me out the door and I turned the large book over in my hands. The Secretary handed me a pass for my class and I left the office in a bit of a daze. The general had kind of sprung this on me out of nowhere, so I was at a loss.
I went back to my room and put the book down on my desk. I stared at it but my mind was blank. I wasn't sure if I even wanted to look at it. I checked the time, and I had another fifteen minutes before I had to leave for my next class. I filled out the permission form instead and then left.

"Do you have everything?" I looked up at the words and smiled at Vincent.
"I think so. It will only be for a week, so I should be fine with just this." I gestured to the duffel bag. Vince grabbed it up for me and I protested.
"It's fine love. I got it." He insisted. We walked out to the front of the school and waited. I felt a bit awkward standing around while he held our bags. I waved to a couple of the guys that were sticking around.
"When did your brother say he was coming?" I asked again. Vince just smiled at me.
"Relax. He texted me that he was running behind. He'll be here in a minute." He reassured me. I was fidgeting with nerves.
"Hey! Wait up. I got something for you." Micah ran up to me and pressed a wrapped gift into my hands.
"Uh, thanks? It's not my birthday you know." I looked at him like he was crazy. He just shrugged and grinned at me.
"I know. See ya." He ran off and I just shook my head. I didn't have time to think about anything else though, because his brother had just drove up in his car.
"About time bro." Vincent said while loading our stuff in the trunk. I hopped in the back seat, grinning up at Ian.
"Thanks for the ride." I said as Vincent slid into the back next to me.
"Yeah, no prob. I didn't realise Vince would be treating me like a chauffer though." He replied sarcastically as he glanced in the rear view at his brother. Vince just grinned at him and wrapped an arm around me after buckling in.
"Sorry bro. No way am I passing up an opportunity to sit next to my boyfriend." He was seriously embarrassing. I rolled my eyes and leaned into him.
"Just drive, please? The sooner you get there, the sooner he will stop acting cheesy." I quipped. Vince was pouting at me, but I ignored him. The ride was filled with chatter between the two Wrights. I was getting more nervous the closer we got to the destination.
We pulled up to the hotel and I saw the Wright parents waiting for us out front. I waved and Kinsey waved back with a bright smile. Ian stopped right next to them and Vincent got out first to get our bags.
"Hello boys! We already checked in, so just follow us to the elevators." She winked at us as we approached together. I gave her a hug and Quinn a handshake.
"Thanks for having me on your mini-vacation." I mentioned as they led the way inside.
"Don't mention it. Now, I know you boys are going to do whatever boys do, but I am going to give you the talk anyways." Mom Wright said with a look at Vincent. He was blushing.
"Mom, not in the elevator." He complained. Quinn just looked on with some little sympathy. Ian looked like he was enjoying himself.
"Use protection. Don't stay up too late. Also, if you run out of lu..." She was actually doing it. She was giving us the talk in the hotel elevator. I was bright red and now had my hands over my ears so I couldn't hear anything but mumbling. Vince looked like he wanted to die.
We got to the floor and I picked the gift back up off the floor and ran down the hall. I was out of breath and panting against the wall when Vince caught up with me outside our door. We exchanged a glance, then blushed again.
"I can't believe your mom just did that." I huffed without meeting his eyes. He laughed.
"I can. She is literally the devil." He replied while opening the door. We went inside a little hesitantly. It was not a very big room, but clean and had a big television. Both of us were avoiding looking at the centerpiece. A huge king size bed with hotel white sheets.
"They really got us one bed." I said faintly. He didn't say anything. I heard our bags hit the floor and then I was sailing up over a shoulder to be thrown onto the firm surface with an oomph. I laughed as I bounced a bit and he flopped next to me.
"We are really going to do this, huh?" He looked at me seriously. I met his eyes and nodded. He looked down at the present in my hands and raised a brow. "What's that?"
"I don't know." I responded. I shrugged and ripped off the bow and paper covered in sports balls quickly. When I opened the box, I groaned. "Oh my god..."
"What?" He asked. I didn't reply, I just dumped it out onto the bed with a deadpan face. There had to be a hundred different condoms and packs of lube inside. It was literally filled to the brim with them.
"...."
