♪ Hello ♪

Do you know this moment when you shuffle your music and suddenly listen to an old song you didn't even remember you had on your phone? Well... this is what happened to me. So here ya go my lovely readers!
Also I don't remember every episode from RoB/DoB so I might say some things wrong but... I hope you don't mind .-.
___

Many moths had passed since the big war between Berk and the Berserker tribe. The Outcasts and the Berkians were allies again and everything seemed good. The twins thought it was a bit boring, but no one really listened to them.

Indeed, everything seemed fine. But it depended on which side you were. Because for some people it was the worst time in their whole lives. And only one person seemed to realize that.

"What do ya want?",sneered a guard at the young boy. "I want to visit one of the prisoners",he answered looking at the floor. "And who?",the man asked again. "Dagur",the boy now said and looked the man in the eye, "I believe you know him"

The two guards bursted out laughing and held their stomachs. "You don't think that we let everyone to this psycho, do you?",said one of them with tears of laughter in his eyes.

"Good that I am not everyone. I am Hiccup Haddock, the son of Stoick the Vast. So if you'd be so kind to step away"

The two looked at each other questioning with that "Can we trust him?" look. "I don't know anybody else with a spare leg and a nightfury, or do you?",Hiccup gesticulated to the angry looking dragon behind him. The guards stepped away and let him pass. Hiccup entered and said emotionless:"Toothless doesn't make trouble- unless you make"

The jail was disgusting. The smell was terrible and the people in there were going insane. Most of them were crying and complaining about how they didn't do something wrong and how Hiccup should either kill them or let them free.

"Please Hiccup! I have wife and kids! They miss me and I miss them! Please tell me what happened to them!"

"Save me!"

"End my pain! I can't take it anymore, I am too weak! END MY PAIN!"

"It's awesome how we rott in here, isn't it? You love the looks on our faces, you love to see our pain, don't you Hiccup?!",were only a few things that were shouted at Hiccup.

But the boy kept going and tried to not listen to them, he needed his energy for someone special. If he took his time to listen to them he wouldn't have enough left to talk to the one he came here for.

He stopped at the end of the hallway and looked at two cells. One was unusually quiet, so he decided to look in there first- and what he saw frightened him.

The confident man, the strong leader of the Berserker tribe he once knew was gone. He was a shadow of himself, leaning against the wall and looking with his tired eyes through a tiny window outside at the moon, whose light shined at him. He didn't say a word or turned his head to look at Hiccup, although the boy was sure that he had noticed him.

"Hello",the brown haired boy started, "It's me" Dagur didn't turn his head and just kept staring as if he wasn't even there. Hiccup took a deep breath and continued:"I was wondering if after all those months you'd like to meet. T- to go over, everything"

A small chuckle escaped Dagurs throat and made Hiccups eyes shine, as if the hope was rising in him. The man with the striking green eyes took a few long breathes and then answered:"Well well Hiccup. I'm surprised you even remember that I exist"

His voice sounded dry and worn, like he hadn't talked for a long time. His lips were cracked and every movement made them burst even more, it was only a matter of time when they'd start to bleed again.

"Dagur how could I forget you?",he asked confused, "We used to be good friends when we were younger!" The man chuckled again:"Everyone forgot me. I wouldn't have been mad if you did, too. Honestly, you're the very first one to visit me here"

He turned his head and looked at the wall in front of him, still not wanting to look at his "visitor":"Welcome, take a seat, make it yourself cozy! You see I don't have much to offer you-"

"Dagur stop it",Hiccup cut him off and looked around if any guards were watching them. "Why should I?!",he responded and cried the last words like an angry cat. "This isn't you! Please, listen to me",he tried to calm his friend down.

"Who shall listen to you?",Dagur asked suddenly in a very serious way and somehow made the brown haired boy shiver. He couldn't explain how or why, but it felt like there were two personalities caged up in one body. One side was loving, childish and caring, almost like a kid but hurt, very much hurt. This kid didn't understand what was going on and wanted to cry, to go home, just to a place he felt safe.

And then again there was the complete opposite- the murderous devil who played his insane yet very clever and challenging games with the people around him, who wanted to taste the blood of his enemies he had slaughtered all on his own.

"You"

"Dear Hiccup, you need to be more specific"

"Drop the act, Dagur! You-... all of you need to listen to me"

"Why should we- or I, if that's easier for you- even bother listening to you? You're the one who brought me in this situation, who guarantees me that you won't make it worse?",Dagur said and tilted his head a bit to finally look at Hiccup.

He hadn't changed that much, a bit taller than when he had last seen him but... maybe he was just shrinking. He didn't look at the face, it'd be too risky if their eyes would meet, even for a split second. Dagur never looked people in the eyes. He looked at their nose, their foreheads or between the eyes, but never directly in the eyes, though it sometimes may seem like he does. He just didn't like it. Unless of course he had a strong emotional bond to the person but even then he didn't tend to do it- well he didn't really had anyone he could create such a bond with but if, he'd sure do.

"I had no choice!",justified Hiccup himself, "You wanted to kill my friends, my father, their dragons, my whole island, Alvin and his tribe, Toothless AND me! What was I supposed to do?"

The man turned back to look at the moon but this time pressing his knees against his chest, in some way curling up but he still had a small smile on his lips, which disappeared when she slightly shook his head. "Tz tz tz, Hiccup",he answered calmly and breathed heavily, "I've never wanted to kill you"

"Yes you did!",Hiccup yelled at him with anger filling his voice, "You tried several times!" Dagur smiled and shook his head again:"Did I ever say that?" The boy bit his tongue and responded:"Well, yes you di-" "No Hiccup no",cut him the redhead off, "Did I ever say that I want to kill you? Did I ever say "I'll kill Hiccup"? Did I ever say that straight to your face?!"

"I- If you put it that-"

"No I DIDN'T!!!",he yelled and jumped off his feet and clung to the cell door, his eyes glowing and narrowed like an animal that was about to kill his prey with one bite into the neck, his sharp teeth digging into the warm flesh with no mercy or any emotions at all, an inane look spreading his face.

Hiccup stepped back in fear at first but gasped in shock when he saw the face of his erstwhile friend- a big, bloody wound covering most of the right side of his face. It didn't look like it was healing were well or hygienic and would definitely leave a nasty scar.

"D- Dagur your face!",the boy breathed worried and came near again, "Oh gods it looks awful! You need to see a healer right now! I'm pretty sure you've got a blood poisoning, and also in the face... this could kill you do you even realize that?!"

Hiccup reached out his hand to touch Dagurs face but he just winced and turned his face away from him growling, but as sudden as he moved away his grin came back and made him look even more broken than he already was.

The man chuckled and licked the blood of his cracked lip:"They say that time's supposed to heal ya, but- I ain't done much healing" "I don't care what they say, come here",Hiccup ordered and pulled out a small bottle. "Why?",Dagur asked suspiciously and watched how the boy put some kind of liquid into his right palm. "Just come here",he repeated.

Although he'd never admit it, his wound was hurting like hell. It felt like something started to eat his face but couldn't quite get the job done and left back a skull with some muscles on it and strayed some salt onto them. But who new if Hiccup just wanted to kill HIM instead? May be possible. But Dagur was way too curious as to just let his brother get away with this oil.

"Fine",he agreed and turned his cheek to Hiccup. The boy carefully started to spread the oil with two fingers on Dagurs wound. He caressed his side with his small hands and was careful to not hurt him any more. His hands started to shake and wouldn't really stop. It was the first time they were so close to each other- let's just ignore the stupid cell door- and yet Hiccup was TOUCHING Dagurs CHEEK. Well I guess he was allowed to react this way.

Dagur wasn't really doing anything besides standing there and somewhat liking the way the little boy touched him. He kept looking at his hands and how they shook- he thought it was sweet. No, thinking this was wrong. Feeling this was wrong. It was disgusting and not human-... or wasn't it?

Hiccup put his hands back, now with a bit of pink on his face. "This might sore a bit-",he tried to warn but Dagur had already noticed that and was crying loudly in pain, covering his wound with his hands. "THAT BURNS LIKE FIRE!!!",he yelled and squirmed.

"Quiet! Why do I have to be next to such a cry baby?!",a captured man in the cell next to them spat and made Dagur go even more crazy. "SHUT UP!",the Berserker yelled and ran from one wall to the other, "EVERYONE SHUT UP! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICES ANYMORE! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING! ALL OF YOU EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU STOP TALKING OR I'LL KILL YOU ALL THE SECOND I COME OUT OF HERE!!!"

He hadn't realized that everyone had stopped making noises when he was still screaming. Or maybe he wasn't even talking to them? Hiccup tried a last time to calm him down:"It's ok, I'm right here! Everyone is quiet, you're the only one yelling here! Listen to me I know it hurts but it's gonna make everything better-"

"Don't you dare talk to me Hiccup!",the man hissed and hid in the shadows, "You're the only reason I'm in this pain, and you haven't the slightest idea of what it feels like. Just go. Leave me alone before you make it worse!"

Hiccup scoffed and rolled his eyes in annoyance:"Fine, I'll go. If that's what you really want then I'll go right now"

No, it wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to hold him and be together with him, to protect him and made him feel safe and tell him what he felt but he couldn't. And this pain was way worse than the one the wound on his face made. You saw his bleeding lips but not his heart that was bleeding itself to death, just because he couldn't stand his emotions.

"But don't expect me to come back! If you don't want me that's fine for me, I have way better things to do at home than trying to talk to an idiot like you. If you don't accept help then die here! I don't care. At least I can say that I've tried to tell you I'm sorry!"

With that he went back to where he came from, and with every step he took regretting what he just said to the one he loved. He did care. And he didn't want him to die, not here, not now, not at all.

"Give Dagur more and better food and water than you give anyone else",Hiccup ordered and mounted Toothless. "But-",the guard wanted to say but was cut off by a growling nightfury. "Do it. Or you'll get in big, big trouble",Hiccup said dry and looked at the sky, "And let your healer see him once or twice a month"

And with that the dragon flew in the night, silently, as always.
