(SHOUTOUT TO YOU, MY FELLOW FOLLOWER!)
Y/N's P.O.V
I watched Fūto and chuckled as he fussed over the positions of the furniture in the babies' room. Yusuke was soaked to the brim and pouting in the corner because Fūto didn't want to get sick and get our little boys sick as well. I sighed. The Asahina family were letting me stay in their apartment complex to let me help support Fūto through the delivery, but our sons had been getting restless since 5:00 am this morning and my boyfriend of one year was becoming frantic. I sighed and walked up behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist, rubbing his swollen stomach. He looked at me and smiled. I turned to him and immediately got down to business.
"Fūto, you need to stop stressing yourself out. It's not good for you or them." I whispered, rubbing the sides of his stomach as Haru and Kai kicked. He sighed intently and gripped my hands.
"I know, Y/N, but I don't think they'll wait until January. They don't feel like Braxton-Hicks contractions." He said, hands on mine. I sighed. The contractions were somehow getting closer together, and I was getting worried. Haruka and Kaito were gearing up to be nearly 3 weeks premature and that was way too early for Masaomi's standards. We were both panicked and him fretting because of the storm was not helping at all.
Downstairs, Azusa was trying to fix his glasses, Natsume had just come through the door with his cats, Tsubaki and Azusa, meowing in annoyance, Tsubaki was on the couch with a cold and Masaomi had come home after working a late shift at the children's hospital. The storm had put us all on edge. But it was scaring the youngest Asahina brother, Wataru the very most.
"Huh? Where's Wataru?" Yūsuke asked from his spot in the corner.
"I- Achoo!- thought he- Achoo!- was with you!" Tsubaki replied. Subaru then looked up from his phone.
"He's hiding in the twins' room with Fūto and Y/N. The thunder's freaked him out to nearly bolting under the kitchen sink!" He cried. He was right. Wataru had hidden under the king-size bed I had built beforehand when we started painting the room. I tried coaxing him out, but he was as stubborn as a three-horned bull who thought it was a donkey.
"No! I'm not getting out until the thunder stops booming! I'M FREAKED OUT HERE, Y/N!" He cried, his voice muffled slightly from the metal bedpost. I sighed. He was being so stubborn! I pulled him halfway out from underneath the bed and lifted his terrified face up. I gave him a hard look.
"Wataru. I know that you're scared, but hiding isn't going to make anything better." I said. He sighed. He crawled out from under the bed and cuddled up against Fūto, who took him close and nuzzled his cheek. He then put his hand on his stomach, and placed it on the spot where Haru and Kai were kicking. Wataru's eyes widened as his nephews kicked at his hand. Fūto then winced as another contraction hit him in the lower abdomen. I heard a slight pop and he let out a cry of shock and pain before rearing his head into the pillows underneath him. Wataru jumped off the bed and ran downstairs and I bolted over to Fūto, who let out a pain-filled whimper through the contraction.
"Fūto?! Fūto, what's wrong?" I asked frantically as he writhed in pain.
"Babe, I- I think my water just broke. THE BABIES ARE COMING!" He cried, clutching his stomach.
"What, NOW?!" I shouted, eyes wide in alarm. He nodded and held onto my jacket as he resisted the urge to push. And then, the power went out.
"HOLY SHIT!" Ukyo faintly cried from the kitchen. In the distance, I heard Wataru screaming and then suddenly heard a thump as he hit something in the sheer darkness and the ear-splitting sound of wood breaking.
"OW! I THINK I BROKE SOMETHING!" He cried. I turned on the emergency flashlight and lit it down the hallway. I saw Wataru on the floor, holding his bleeding broken arm and whimpering while Masaomi tended to the blood loss and splintered the broken bone tenderly.
Fūto let out another scream and I ran back upstairs. I ran back to the room to see him holding his stomach and clutching the sheets as he panted through the contraction, letting out a pained wail as it ended, leaving him a sobbing mess. He got up off the bed and hung onto me, whimpering as another contraction came. I whispered softly into his ear, rubbing his back as we swayed gently. He then suddenly gasped, gripped my jacket sleeves tighter than he had before and spread his legs apart, showing me the damp spot in between his legs on his sweatpants. He looked up at me with his brown eyes full of pained tears.
"Y/N, I wanna push." He whispered. I shook my head and he gritted his teeth.
"I have to push! Y/N, THEY WON'T WAIT! I NEED TO PUSH RIGHT NOW!" He shouted, clutching my jacket and bearing down as hard as he could. After the contraction was over, I cupped his face in my hands and kissed his chapped lips. When we pulled away for air, I brought his gaze up to mine and looked him squarely in the eye.
"Fūto, I know. I know it hurts and I know that you wanna push, but you gotta wait for Masaomi before you start to give birth to our sons. For now, let's just try a different birthing position." I said. He nodded and we squatted down so he was resting against the bed and I was in front of him, gently resting my hands on his curved hips. The thunder sounded again, this time followed by lightning and the rain was beginning to pound on the windows. I then realized that it wasn't a normal rainstorm at the moment anymore. It was now a raging hurricane. At that exact moment, Masaomi came in and told me to get behind Fūto while he delivered the twins. I did as he told me to, holding Fūto's hands and softly whispering words of encouragement into my boyfriend's ear as Masaomi took off his soaked through sweatpants and boxers.
"Masaomi. What happened with Wataru?" Fūto asked.
"He was trying to run back into here but hit the table near your room instead. Some of the wood punctured his skin and majorly fractured his arm. He refuses to let that stop him though from holding his nephews right when they're born though." He said with a smile on his face. I smiled back.
"Wataru's a real trooper. Just like you, Fūto." I whispered. He smiled back, grimaced and let out another whimper. I bit my bottom lip, worried out of my mind. The pain shouldn't be this bad already, his water broke only half an hour ago! Suddenly, the lights flickered and then they went back on.
"YES! THE EMERGENCY GENERATOR IS WORKING!" Yusuke called from the living room.
"WE GOT THE POWER BACK, BABY!" Wataru cried. Masaomi signaled him to come into the room and he poked his head in. His chocolate brown eyes were filled with worry and he didn't move his body.
"Fuutan? Are you okay, bro?" He asked weakly. My boyfriend gave his little brother a small nod and a pain-filled smile. I rubbed his back again and kissed his cheek. Wataru stepped into the room wearing a makeshift sling made out of a dishtowel and the leather strap from Ukyo's workbag, those two items being held together by two minuscule safety pins. He ran towards Fūto, got on his knees and wrapped his uninjured arm around his older brother, trying his hardest to comfort him through the pain.
"It's okay. It's gonna be okay, Fuutan. I'm gonna be right here." He whispered. Fūto nuzzled his head and geared up to push.
"Alright, Fūto. Are you ready? You're going to be meeting your sons soon." Masaomi said. Fūto nodded softly and panted until the next contraction, making him rear his head into my chest. Masaomi then nodded and he bore down hard. I looked over and saw the top of our baby's head, and I nearly started crying.
"I can see the head!" Masaomi cried happily. He screamed in response.
"OH GOD, IT BURNS!" He shouted.
"You're okay, Fuutan! The baby's crowning!" Wataru cried. Fūto's head fell against my chest, and I heard him sobbing softly as he realized that our first baby was almost here. Masaomi gave him the signal again and he bore down. After a painstaking 5 minutes, I heard Fūto ask Masaomi how much longer it would take before we could hold the baby.
"Just two more big pushes, Fūto. I know you can do it." He said. Fūto bore down as hard as he possibly could again and screamed as the head finally came out, followed by the shoulders. I looked at it to see light chestnut brown hair that was just like Fūto's. Wataru's arm circled around his brother's shoulders, kissing his cheek.
"One more push, Fuutan! One more push!" He cried in excitement. Futo nodded and gave the last push all he had, screaming loudly. Our first baby boy then slid into Masaomi's arms and let out a painstaking shrieking wail.
"AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH!" He wailed, thrashing his limbs. Fūto started sobbing and I held his shoulders as he reached out to take our first baby boy. After checking him, he immediately knew which son he was.
"Hi, Kaito. Hi there. Oh, you're so precious, handsome." He whispered, stroking Kaito's head of wet light brown curls. Wataru's eyes shone as he looked at Kaito- his nephew, Kaito- and he nuzzled Fūto's cheek.
"You did awesome, Fuutan. He looks just like you." He whispered softly. He smiled tiredly at his little brother and kissed his forehead.
"Thanks, Wataru." He whispered back to him. Kaito then wailed louder. As Fūto tried to calm him, I began to stroke his tiny head. Wataru tried moving his other hand but winced from the shooting pain it then caused. I rubbed the spot that was hurting and he gently kissed my cheek.
"Thank you." He whispered. I looked up at him and saw unshed happy tears in Wataru's kind eyes. He kissed my cheek again, letting Fūto hold his hand. He then moved it to Kaito and Wataru stroked his cheek. He yawned and then opened his eyes. Futo gasped and started crying again as soon as he saw that Kaito had my E/C eyes. He was the exact spitting image of both of us together. I smiled as our baby boy reached up to me. I chuckled.
"Hello, sweet Kaito." I whispered. He shrieked and waved his arms around. Suddenly, Wataru sniffled.
"He's so cute. I don't know what to think." He said. I smiled again and ruffled his hair. Kaito looked up at us and cooed. I looked at him and kissed his fist. He gripped my finger tightly. I smiled. He was so precious. He then looked at Wataru. His tiny hand reached up to touch him. He smiled softly. I stroked Fūto's forehead with a smile.
"You did so good. I'm so proud of you. You gave us our first little boy. We're almost done. We've just got Haru left to welcome into the world. You can do it, baby. We're so close to holding both of our baby boys." I whispered. He nodded and gave me Kaito. Suddenly, Wataru started to cry. I looked at him in shock. He wiped at his eyes.
"S- Sorry. J- Ju- Just my arm. R- Re- Really hurts." He stuttered, and I saw that his sling was coated with a thin layer of blood. My eyes widened. Masaomi was shocked. Fūto bit his lip.
"Ukyo!" Masaomi called. I held Fūto's shoulder and rubbed Wataru's neck. He whimpered from the pain in his arm. I sighed. This wasn't good. He was bleeding, for Hell's sake! He was gonna have to go to the hospital. And that would mean he wouldn't get the first chance to hold them before everyone else. He wanted that more than anything. We had made a deal about it! He was so happy when he found out Fūto was pregnant. He was the first every time there was a new milestone for us. He was even the first one to approve of our relationship! He even set up our first date! It was awkward, but Fūto loves his efforts. I loved the kid so much, he was like a brother to me. He was everything to Fūto during the pregnancy. He was so clingy to him during the pregnancy, he kept having Wataru sleep in our bed. While that was annoying at times, I never complained. Masaomi then interrupted my thoughts.
"Fūto, I need you to wrap a towel around Wataru's wound and hold it as tight as you can." He told him. He nodded.
"I'm here, Wataru, I'm right here." He whispered, then suddenly clutched his stomach.
"Fūutan..." He whined.
"I'm alright, buddy." He winced.
"No, you're not!" He cried.
"Fūto?" I asked.
"Contracting again..." He whispered.
"Why didn't you tell me...?" I asked.
"Wataru's in more pain than I am, I have TIME!" He cried.
"No, you don't, babe. Haruka's gotta come." I said.
"Masaomi..." He whined.
"Y/N's right, Haruka need you to get him out into the world." He told him.
"But Wataru!" He protested.
"You can do this, Fūutan!" He said. He then bore down, holding onto my hand tightly.
"AHHH!" He screamed.
"Good, Fūto, good!" Masaomi said.
"Oh god, the head just came out!" He grunted.
"One more big push! Just one more!" I told him. He then pressed his chin to his chest one last time.
"AHH-HAH!" He shrieked. With that, Haruka slid out into the world.
"AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH! AWAHH!" He wailed.
"Oh my GOD!!!" I cried.
"Oh, Haruka!" Fūto cooed, holding his hands out for him.
"AWAHH!!! AWAHH!!!" He shrieked as he was placed into his arms.
"Oh, baby boy!" He cooed.
"AWAHH!" He screamed.
"You guys! The bleeding stopped!" Wataru said.
"Well then. You wanna hold Kaito?" I asked him.
"YES!!! I've been waiting 9 months for this!" He said excitedly. Masaomi immediately placed Kaito into a towel and gave him to Wataru.
"Hi there, Haru." I whispered.
"AWAHH!" He screeched.
"Oh, baby boy." I cooed.
"We're complete now. We have a family, Y/N." Fūto whispered.
"We are complete." I whispered back. Best Christmas EVER.
