Jungkook pulls Taehyung into his room and closes the door a while after breakfast.

"Why was Namjoon sitting in the living room with Jin in his lap at 3 in the morning? Why the fuck is your brother up all night?" now it was Jungkook who was curious.

Jungkook had woken up rather early cause he was thirsty. Namjoon had told about Jin being up at night but he never wondered more about it. Jin had jumped quickly off Namjoon's lap when Jungkook came in. And now, Jungkook was too confused.

"He probably figured it out" Taehyung just answers. He looks at his feet and wiggles them a little.

"And?" Jungkook pushes, raising both eyebrows.

"H-hyung has insomnia. He barely sleeps more than three to four hours" Taehyung quickly spits out. The elder thought all of them were going to know at some point anyway.

Jungkook's face soften.

"Why?" he asks.

Taehyung looks to the side. It's clearly an uncomfortable topic for him.

"He fears we will be taken away from him. He worked so hard to keep custody over us. He was only 17 when we lost our parents, so it wasn't an easy task. He fears to close his eyes" Taehyung whispers.

Jungkook bits his lip. He regrets asking.

"I- we try to help him out as much as we can, but it's just not helping. He works so hard and still cooks us dinner every day and drives us to school. I hate it. I hate that I can't be a better brother for him" he continues.

Jungkook observes as the elder fumbles with his hands.

A sudden unknown feeling runs over Jungkook has he watches Taehyung lifts his legs up to his chin and hide his face.

He had only known the latter for two weeks, but it was still an unfamiliar sight to see Taehyung sad. And it broke Jungkook in a way he had never expected it to.

Without warning, he grabs the elder's wrist and pulls him back up. Taehyung stumbles confused by the sudden action before he's lead out of the room, down the stairs, out of the house and down the sidewalk.

Jungkook doesn't stop he just keeps running, not reacting to Taehyung's protests.

He finally stops and lets the elder breath when they are in front of the familiar ice cream truck. Taehyung looks confused at it before looking at Jungkook, tilting his head slightly.

The raven walks up to the cashier and orders the exact same thing as last time.

"Here" he reaches the ice cream to Taehyung who is still totally taken aback.

"Jungkook-"

"But you have to smile first" he teases, dodging Taehyung's hand that reached out for the cone.

The elder frowns. How could Jungkook wish for something like that when he himself still had that cold, bored expression?

But the ice is enough to turn Taehyung's feeling and he sends a huge smile towards Jungkook.

The younger had a plan. Not only to make Taehyung feel better, but also to confirm something.

And he didn't like the fact that it was true.

Taehyung has the most beautiful smile he has ever seen.

They walk along the lake where they got into a fight for the first time.

"Why did you want me to smile?" Taehyung asks. He's almost done with the cone, looking up at Jungkook while licking the ice cream.

"Don't know" Jungkook answers coldly, forcing his eyes away from the other. Why was he licking it so lewdly?

Taehyung just shrugs and keeps gazing over the lake.

He comes to an abrupt stop when he sees a beautiful bird land on a branch, the sun lighting beautifully around it.

He quickly fills his mouth with the last bit of his cone before walking to the side and grabbing his camera. It's around his neck as usual.

Jungkook doesn't recognize at first, but when he's a few meters ahead he stops and looks behind him.

He rolls his eyes as Taehyung jumps up and down to get different angles of the bird. He uses the time to look over the lake and enjoy the peaceful waves.

He would never show it, but he truly loves how quiet and comfortable nature is.

Taehyung is done taking pictures. He looks them over on the screen and smiles to himself. Just as he's about to run after Jungkook he stops and observes the younger.

His black hair falls perfectly over his forehead, the pants are ripped and sitting perfectly around his muscular legs and a leather jacket finishes the look. He should look intimidating, but Taehyung is drowning in his beauty instead.

His fingers wrap around the camera again. He places it against his eye and gets the perfect angle.

The click-sound appears, and Taehyung lowers the camera back.

He is going to enjoy the view while it lasts.

"Stop drawling" Jungkook smirks as he catches Taehyung staring. The younger blinks before looking away quickly, embarrassment tinting his cheeks.

"I wasn't"

"You were"

"Wasn't"

"Were"

They keep bickering while walking back towards the house subconsciously. Taehyung is the first to break it when he gets fascinated by a young girl running around with soap bubbles flying through the air.

The brunette pops a few, a smile lighting up his face.

"You're such a child..." Jungkook sighs from behind, his hands still in his pockets.

Taehyung feels a painful kick in his stomach, but it's overruled by anger.

"Well, you look like one!" he bursts out. He is already running.

Jungkook following quickly.

And as expected, they are hit with two ladles when they enter the house.

"Why me!?" Jungkook whines.

"Because I can't go and Jimin has to work as well! You have caused more than enough trouble to be arguing against it young man" Jin answers, his arms crossed, and chin lifted to show dominance.

Taehyung is bouncing behind the elder, waiting for them to come to a conclusion. He had received some tickets to the aquarium, and he was just waiting for someone to join him.

Jungkook sighs dramatically while rolling his eyes. Why the fuck was he putting up with this shit?

"Whatever" he spits, snatching the tickets from Jin's hand, who gives him a contented nod.

Taehyung sprints towards the front door, not caring at all who would join him. He had never gone to the aquarium because they never had time, but finally, he would be able to do it.

Taehyung runs through the check-in, followed by a pissed off Jungkook. They enter and a blue tint from the water shines against the walls. Taehyung's eyes widen together with his smile, they are almost twinkling.

Not many people are in the aquarium, so they walk around peacefully.

"Look! It's a shark!" Taehyung points at the big fish swimming slowly around one of the basins. Jungkook tsks and looks.

They walk around like that for what seems like hours, Taehyung getting overly excited while Jungkook's sighs get deeper for each fish.

Trying to look for a plan, Jungkook smirks and places himself behind Taehyung. The elder is totally lost in looking at the fishes, so the raven takes this as the perfect opportunity scare the other.

He rushes forwards and forces his hands into Taehyung's sides while making a 'booh' sound. As expected Taehyung flinches by the sudden force, falling back into Jungkook's hold.

"Aish!" he whines, feeling his heart go crazy from the shock.

Jungkook laughs evilly, but it comes to a stop as he feels Taehyung leaning against him. The smell of shampoo fills his nostrils as his head rest against Taehyung's hair.

"Jungkook?" the brunette asks while frowning, but Jungkook doesn't respond. He just wraps his arms around the elder's thin waist, letting himself sink into the amazing smell.

Taehyung doesn't seem to mind the sudden proximity, he just spots a new fish and lets his eyes wander with it. They stand like that for a while, just silently watching the fishes.

"Sorry," Jungkook whispers unbothered as he releases his grip. Taehyung doesn't answer or care at all, he just runs towards a basin with stingrays.

God, his smell, his soft skin, and that calming body heat. Jungkook already missed Taehyung's body, wanting to run over and hug him again.

When did he become so soft?

Jungkook is even more weirded out by the fact that Taehyung just let it happen.

"Look at this! I bet Jin hyung would freak if he saw this!" The elder states excitedly. Jungkook observes him for a second before testing his theory. He lets his hand run around Taehyung's waist again, seeing if the brunette would react this time.

"And Jimin hyung! Rose wouldn't even step a foot inside this place" he giggles.

Nothing.

Jungkook, strangely enough, feels a relief, letting his hand fall back down. Damn, what is going on with him?
