I hated M/N with a passion but it wasn't always like that. First when I heard I was having a younger brother I was excited and came up with all these things we could do together and swearing I'd be the best big sister who would protect him but as soon as he was born and got all our parents attention I hated him as he got the attention I wanted, I was jealous of my own brother. Even as he got older following me around wanting to play I glared at him wanting nothing to do with him.

One night my jealousy got out of hand I hurt him I watched as his bright smile vanished as he lowered the paper he was holding I stand there shocked I actually hit him but he was gone before I could even say anything and I feared of the rumours that would spread about me but it never happened as for some reason the rumour was about M/N hitting me instead and I was fine as my reputation was safe and everyone hated him too making my life much easier.

Watching out the window, watching M/N as he was outside tending to the garden a small smile on his face but even from here I could tell he was covered in bruises from the daily beatings he got from the towns people since that rumour but it was strange I was sure he never left today. Confused I go to the garden but he was gone. "is something wrong Diane?" "did you see where M/N went? he was just here?" seeing a sad look on his face as he turns away "I'm sorry Miss Diane" I stand there looking at the sky remembering once again he had died a long time ago after a beating and now I was haunted by him making me feel guilt for never rescuing him.
