Walking home from the market when I'm suddenly pushed on the floor making me sit up seeing the other kids snicker and laugh while calling me names as I try pick everything up to leave but they wouldn't allow as it they kept knocking me down until Mikasa showed up standing in front of me "leave him alone" they scoff and leave, before I can thank Mikasa she hugs me tightly "I won't let them say such things again and you better not listen to them" I nodded grabbing her hand as we walk home.

It was only a few days later when the town was covered with dead bodies and screaming people as the titans attacked the city and while I was running with Mikasa I ended up getting dragged from her and now I was alone in hiding. All I knew was to keep moving to survive which I did until now a teen fighting for survival on my own, it was a nice evening of peace when horses ran through the town making me look up only to lock eyes with Mikasa who looks at me before calling out but I start running trying to lose her as I was sure she was dead. "M/N stop!!" Not listening as I keep going until Eren stops in front of me making me stop as I sigh turning to Mikasa.

Opening my mouth to speak but she tackles me into a hug knocking us both to the ground as i hear her fainlty cry into my shoulder muttering how glad she was that I was Alive. Moving her back I give her a smile "I'm fine Mikasa there's no need to cry" "but i couldn't find you, just ripped parts of your clothes" "I know but I learned from the best to survive" "come with me join the corps" "sure, why not better than out here."
