This is my first oneshot I hope you like it.

Poppy and Branch walked peacefully through the words forgetting about all their worries.
Then reality hit them, they were lost.

"Uh, Branch, do you know where we are?" Poppy asked, you could clearly hear the worry in her voice.

"No, I dont, but we'll find a way home. It will be easy!" Branch replied enthusiastically though we wasn't to sure about it.

That's when things started going down hill, on their perfect walk on the perfect place. Dang it life.

BOOM

CRACK

SNAP

They turned their heads to see a very large Growl beast, much larger than usual.

Branch reacted immediately, standing protectively in front of Poppy, reaching for a large tree branch with his hair.
Branch hit the large beast quite a few times, but it seemed to only make the beast even more mad, making it hit Branch with its paw.

"Branch!" Poppy screamed horrified.

He was badly hurt but that didn't stop Branch from protecting Poppy. He stood back up with bruises and cuts ready to fight again.

He hit the growl beast a few more times with the very large stick and he got knocked down a few times until he couldn't anymore he felt weak, like a failure, a failure to himself, the village. Worst of all...
Poppy and his grandmother.

He collapsed on the ground only thinking of how he failed Poppy.
The sun rays shining brightly causing him to shut his eyes, until he saw a shadow casting on his face. He opened his eyes to see Poppy right in front of him, she looked angry, which was frightening cuz she was never angry.

"STAY AWAY!" She yelled. Using her hair as a whip, she hit the beast until is had cuts all over its face and body.

"Poppy, please stop, run, save yourself." Branch barely managed to get out considering he was in a lot of pain.

"No! I'm not leaving!" You could clearly hear she was hurting just by her voice.
She grabed the large tree branch that Branch had used earlier to take a few more large hits at the nasty beast, before it ran away whimpering.
Poppy just stood there for a minute catching her breath before she came to her senses and ran to Branch.

"Branch!" She slid on her knees next to Branch. "Are you ok? Where does it hurt?"

Branch just groaned due to being in to much pain.

"Oh, Branch, I'll get us home." Poppy reached into Branches hair and pulled out a map finding the direction to head, then picked Branch up and carried him back to Pop village.

After ten minutes running they finally made it back to the village. She ran to her pod ignoring all the trolls asking what happened. Arriving at the pod she opened the door with her foot and carefully placing Branch in the bed, then rushing to the bathroom for medical supplies, and coming back to bandage him up.

After Poppy had finished taking care of Branches wounds she looked up at his face seeing him asleep.
'I can't believe he's already asleep' she thought to herself.
She left the room to let him rest and to prepare some food incase he's hungry when he wakes up.

Poppy had finished making the food, and had enter her bedroom again only to see Branch still sleeping. She sat in a chair next to the bed so she could be there if Branch needed her.

Twenty minutes later Poppy looked over at Branch to see him adjusting in the bed and his eyes fluttering open.
Poppy slowly stood up and walked towards Branch, who looked directly at Poppy.

"How are you feeling?" Poppy asked.

"Much better thank you." Branch replied. Poppy just smiled in return.

"You were so brave." Branch took Poppys hand and caressed it with his thumb.

"So were you, standing up brave and tall beating that thing up."

"But I-"

"Ah! No buts! You were amazing."

"Thank you Poppy, you were amazing to."

"I love you Branch."

"I love you too Queen Poppy."
