Poppy and Branch were on there usual walk after Poppys queen dutys, when Poppy started skipping head of Branch.

"Be careful Poppy." Branch said watching her making sure she didn't trip.

"Don't be a party pooper, Branch. I'll be fine." Poppy replied playful rolling her eyes.

"Ok, don't say I didn't warn you." Branch continued watching her to be sure though. Then Poppy saw a butterfly and quickly dashed after it chasing it deeper into the woods, when she tripped on a tree root causing her to fall and hit her knee on a large rock. Poppys first reaction was to cover her knee with both her hands afraid to look at her wounded leg.
Branch quickly ran in after her looking for his queen when he saw her sitting on the ground covering her leg with her hands and a few tears running down her face.

"Poppy!" Branch yelled running over to Poppy, getting down on both knees next to her to she what happened.
"What happend, are you ok?"

"My knee and shin, I tripped on a tree root and hit it on that big rock.

"Can you let go so I can see it?"
Poppy let go of her leg revealing a very large bruise on her leg.

"Oh thats pretty bad!" Branch looked at Poppys leg then her face with concern in his eyes. "Lets take you home." Poppy nodded her head 'yes' in to much pain to respond with words. Branch picked Poppy up bridal style and carried her home.
On the way many trolls asked if Poppy was alright, but Branch just shrugged and replied with a simple 'yes'. We couldn't have a Poppy 911 so he decided to keep calm and act cool though he was dying on the inside.
When they arived Branch opened the pod door with his foot and carrying Poppy to her bedroom, and lying her on the bed. Then Branch ran to the kitchen, and grabbed an  ice pack out of the freezer them ran back to poppy gently placing it on her leg.

"I told you to be careful!"

"I know, and I didnt listen!" Poppy cried a little more.

"I know you didnt listen to me!"

"A-are you mad?"

Branch sighed and replied im the softest voice he could talk in. "No I'm not mad. I'm just the opposite,  happy your not dead." Branch brushed the bangs out of Poppys face to see it better, then placed a hand on her cheek. Poppy blushed a little bit then placed her hand on top on Branches.

"Good night" Branch leaned in and kissed her forhead tucked Poppy in to look like a blanket mermaid X3.
Then Branch made his way to to his bunker, he wanted to stay but the queen needed her sleep.

Branch woke up early in the morning as usual, and paced to Poppys pod to check on her. By the time Branch arrived at Poppys pod it was a reasonable time, and she should have been wake by then. Branch gently knocked on the door as a warning he was coming in, then opened the door to see Poppy still lying in bed fast asleep.

Branch quietly walked to Poppys bed taking the warm ice pack off of Poppys leg and put it back in the freezer to get colder again. He made is way back to her bed checking back on her leg, it was pretty bad but you could barely tell it was very slowly healing.
Poppy stirred around waking up slightly to see Branch standing above her. Both Poppy and Branch were slightly startled, but then realized that they were fine.
(A/N I'M STARTING TO SLACK OFF ON THIS CHAPTER WHHHY)

"Hey Poppy, hows your leg?"

"Its ok it still hurts a lot though."

"Well yeah its not going to go away immediately."

"Why did you ask me how my leg was doing if you knew it would still hurt?"

"I was just curious!" Branch tickled Poppys sides lightly.

"Ok ok!" Poppy giggled, then tried to get up out of bed, but fell and her leging even more pain.

"Poppy, you need to be careful!!" Branch yelled startling Poppy.

"Im sorry, Branch."

Branch sighed helping her back in bed. "Its ok, but you really need to be careful though."

"Ok, but what about my queen duties?"

"I'll take care of them for you."

"Really?"

"Of course, but I better get going if im gonna be queen for a day." Branch posed making Poppy giggle. "Bye." Branch kissed Poppys forehead and turned to leave the pod.

"Bye, Branch." Poppy sighed knowing Branch wouldn't approve of her standing up to walk, but he wasn't her mom or dad, and also its Poppy she doesn't listen to anyone.

Branch was walking through Pop Village with his list of Poppys queen duties, when he heard a voice.

"Hey boy toy!!" Branch instantly knew who it was and turned to see Barb running towards him with concern in her eyes"Have you seen Poppy around shes late for our Brunch!"

"She isn't able to do anything today." Branch rolled his eyes and started walking in the opposite direction.

"Really, why?"

"Shes just busy."

"Busy with what??"

"Oh my troll Barb can you just shut pie hole for five minutes?! She just can't come to brunch today!"

"Ok man chill, don't need to lash out like that." Branch just couldn't with barb so he just rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Psh your such a grump." Barb turned back around and made her way back to brunch.

♡○•TIME SKIP 'CAUSE I CANN•○♡

Branch had finally finished his full day of queen duties and swung by Poppys pod to check on her.

"Hey Poppy-" Branch stopped when he saw Poppy standing in her kitchen drinking chocolate milk.
"You supposed to be lying down!"

"I couldn't stand being in bed though." Poppy responded in a calm voice.

"Its for your own good!"

"Branch its a bruise it will be ok, i wont die!" Poppy said raising her voice slightly irritated with Branch.

"Poppy, I just don't want you to get hurt worse than you already have!"

"Branch... I. Will. Be. Ok. I made it to the kitchen and had a dance party perfectly fine! I don't need your help so you can just leave!!" Poppy yelled quickly covering up her mouth wishing she hadn't just yelled at Branch.

"Fine, I just wanted to help though." Branch turned to leave the pod and walk to his bunker.

"Branch..." Poppy whispered after Branch had left. To be honest her leg did hurt when she walked, and she just lost a possible sleep over with Branch.

Poppy left the kitchen to sit at her desk when she slipped on a glue stick and fell on her bad leg hurting it much more.
Branch slammed the door open and ran to Poppy picking her up bridal style, also startling her a tiny bit.

"Branch how did you-"

"You really thought i would just leave you?"

"Well... no, but you can't just spy on me, what if I was getting changed?"

"Fair point." Branch placed Poppy down in her bed.
"Is there anything else you need?" Branch asked Ppppy.

"Mm well its getting late, I'm tired and i want some cuddles."

Branch chuckled then nodded before climbing into the bed with Poppy.

"Branch."

"Mmhmm"

"Why do you worry about me so much?"

Branch sighed then grabbed Poppys hand caressing it with his thumb. "I just want you to be safe."

Poppy just smiled and layed her head on Branches chest, closing her eyes. "I love you Branch." Poppy said slowly drifting asleep.

This last part was so bad ;-;
