Poppy lived in a small poor village with her Sister Venus and her mean mother. Her father left because he couldn't deal with Poppy's mother anymore. It as a normal day and Poppy was fighting with her mother.

Mother (i'ma just make her name mother cause i'm lazy -^-): You take that back RIGHT NOW! I brought you into this world AND I WILL TAKE YOU OUT OF IT!

Poppy: *turns around* You know what mom? Do it! I didn't ask to be brought into this world! You know what happened? You and dad decided you love each other SO MUCH you wanted to make mini me's. You had Venus and she came out perfectly fucking  fine! and you thought "Oh my god lets make another one"! And then you had ME!

Venus: *rolls eyes*

Poppy: But  unbeknown to you, when you had me! I got your depression, dad's back problems AND MOST OF THE FAMILY'S DRINKING PROBLEMS! DO IT! Take.Me. OUT!

Mother: *smacks her* Don't you EVER talk to me that way you ungrateful worthless piece of SHI-

Suddenly there was a knock at the door.

Mother: Get the door!

Poppy:...*opens door*

Guard 1: Are you Poppy Kendrick?

Poppy: Yes?

Guard 2: Grab her *grabs her arm*

Guard 3: *grabs her other arm*

Poppy: HEY LET GO!

Mother: Where are you taking her?

Guard 1: To the Dark Prince...

Venus: *gasps and whispers to her mother* She'll probably get killed there! No one survives there!

Mother: *smiles* Well okay bye Poppy!

Poppy: Wait mom NO!

Venus: *closes door* WE FINALLY GOT RID OF HER!

*At the castle*

Guard 1: She's here you're highness!

Branch (aka the Dark Prince): Good

Poppy: W-why am I here?!

Branch: You will become my bride 

Poppy: What?! I am not doing that!

Branch: Oh you will or jail time!

Poppy: You can't do tha-

Branch: Yes I can. I'm the Prince of this castle. You will be marrying me in 3 weeks 

Poppy: What?!

Branch: If you like you can talk to my sisters...Val and Barb

Val: Wow so you chose her?

Branch: Yup

Barb: Okay

Guards 2: *lets her go*

Guard 3: *also lets her go*

Barb: Come on 

Poppy: *Walks up to them*

Val: First off lets change you into something more formal lets go

The girls entered a LARGE walk in closet filled with so much clothes.

Poppy: Woah..

Barb: Go on Pick what you wanna wear

Poppy:...Kk...*walks off*

5 minutes later Poppy came back with a purple dress with flowers, and a purple flower in her hair . Also her hair was put up in a high pony tail.

Val: Wow nice

Poppy: Thanks...um can i ask you guys some questions?

Val: Ughhh fine -_-

Poppy: First off, why does he want to marry me of all people?

Barb: He says you're the prettiest thing he has ever seen 

Poppy: O-oh um second question, Isn't he like one of the meanest people...ever?

Val: Pfft *laughs* Nope he's one of the biggest softy I've ever seen 

Poppy: Really?!

Barb: Yup, so don't be afraid of him. Oh! You gotta meet with him right now!

Poppy: For what?

Val: To get to know him -_-

Poppy: OH right! Yeah i'll go...*starts walking away*

Barb: How long do you think it's gonna take him to let his guard down?

Val: Hmmm I give him 3 days 

Barb: This is gonna be good.

Poppy walked into the main area  and saw the Dark Prince looking out the window. He looked pretty sad.

Poppy: Um...D-dark Prince? Sir...are you okay?

Branch: *turns around and clears throat* Yes...I-I'm fine and please just call me Branch...

Poppy: O-oh *walks up to him* Um so...why is your castle so...dark?

Branch: I mean I won't be the Dark Prince without a dark castle right?

Poppy: Heh..yeah *looks out window* so do you ever go out...?

Branch: I mean yeah...sometimes...*looks off at the side*

Poppy: Are you okay?

Branch: Yeah it doesn't matter....A-anyway Um everyone in the kingdom is invited to the wedding...

Poppy: E-everyone?!

Branch: Yeah? So?

Poppy: If my mother and my sister found out i was marrying a Prince...they would probably beat me or something...Before I left i over heard my sister telling my mother...that you would probably get me killed. And when i actually left.....my sister yelled "We finally got rid of her"........*sheds tear but quickly wipes it away*

Branch: What about your dad...?

Poppy: H-he left us because he couldn't deal with my mother anymore.....a-and he didn't even bother to bring me....*looks away and slowly starts to cry*

Branch: Are you okay...?

Poppy: *wipes tears* I-I don't even know...

Branch: I'm so sorry...But i'll make sure no one will hurt you...considering that I'm gonna marry you.....

Poppy: Yeah....So I heard that I was the prettiest thing you ever saw...

Branch: *blushes* w-well I mean...uh

Poppy: *giggles* It's okay...But how do you know me?

Branch: I've seen you many times....around the village...laughing and having fun....*glares the other way*

Poppy: What's wrong?

Branch: *clears throat* Um nothing...

Poppy: You don't look okay...

Branch: I....

Poppy: *hugs him*

Branch: Woah woah...what are you doing?

Poppy: I'm just hugging you...It looked like you could use one.. *lets go*

Branch: Well thank you...

Poppy: You're welcome! *smiles* Honestly your castle is beautiful 

Branch: Just like you 

Poppy: *blushes* What?

Branch: Uhh nothing..

Poppy: Uh okay....

Branch: Our guard will take you to your room...

Poppy: O-okay...

Guard 1: follow me ma'am 

Poppy followed the guard all they way up to a room. It was baby pink and the bed was a rich brown color.

Guard: Well bye *walks out*

Poppy: *Sighs and sits on bed* ....

Barb: *opens door* So how it go?!

Poppy: It was okay....a bit awkward...

Val: That makes sense, he's a mess!

Poppy: *mumbles* I mean he's a cute mess..

Barb: What you say? *raises eyebrow and crosses arms*

Poppy: NOTHING...nothing..

Val: *crosses arms* You like him don't you?

Poppy: WHAT?! No! Just NO!

Barb: Whatever you say -_-

Poppy: I'm just gonna take a nap...

Val: Alright night Pop-squeak

Poppy: Pop-squeak?

Barb: Yeah that's our nickname for you anyway night *walks put*

Val: *walks out and closes door*

Poppy:....Do i like him.....no? Yes? I don't know! *looks at necklace*...I miss you dad.......*lays down in bed and starts to cry*

Poppy woke up the next morning feeling a bit of pain. She didn't feel like getting up so she just went back to sleep. Meanwhile Branch was downstairs, wondering why she wasn't coming downstairs. He went up stairs and entered her room. 

Branch: *walks up to her* Poppy are you okay?

Poppy: Hm....*sits up*I'm okay....*puts hand on her head*

Branch: *sits next to her* Were you crying last night?

Poppy: mhm...

Branch: Ah...makes sense.....I've cried myself to sleep before and it gave me a headache (no joke that happened to meh ;w; but that was a while ago)

Poppy: *looks at him* Wait really..?

Branch: Yeah...

Poppy: I-I don't know what to say...

Branch: I get it...

Poppy: Hey do you have a garden...?

Branch: Yeah it's one of my favorite places I could take you there i-if you want...

Poppy: Y-yeah..I would love that! 

Branch: Okay i'll see you in 10 minutes?

Poppy: Yeah sure ...

Branch: Alright...*gets up and leaves room*

Poppy got up and changed into a short black dress, she put her hair in two buns and had a black headband on. Poppy walked down stairs feeling upset but at the same time lonely. But she didn't know why.

Branch: *turns around and blushes a bit* You look...beautiful

Poppy: *smiles* Thank you

Branch: Follow me to the garden...

Poppy: Okay 

Poppy followed Branch out this door that lead to the prettiest garden that she had ever seen.

Poppy: Whoa...it's ...it's beautiful 

Branch: Eh, I've seen better things *crosses arms*

Poppy: Really? What?

Branch: *turns his head to look at her* You 

Poppy: *blushes* S-stop 

Branch: *laughs a bit* It is beautiful though....I remember coming out here as a kid....*looks down*

Poppy:..What's wrong?

Branch:..My parents and my grandmother died...and they used to take me out here...

Poppy: Oh my gosh...I-I'm so sorry..

Branch: It doesn't matter....

Poppy: Yes it does! You just miss your family.....I miss my dad..

Branch:...I *sigh* .....*looks away*

Poppy:...Hey everything gonna be fine...as long as you have other people...life is tough....and that's okay 

Branch: I guess....
